3. Installation and Operation
Please inspect the PSDCMin12/18 for any damage before installation.
Battery Access: Battery cover screw is located under the manufacturing date code label.

Connecting to Utility and Charging
The PSDCMin12/18 will automatically turn on when (D) is plugged into the powered wall
socket. The PSDCMin12/18 will turn on and switch on the green LED. If the battery is not
fully charged, the DC UPS will auto charge the battery and the green LED will flash on/off
until fully charged.
Connecting the Loads
Insert the desired DC connector in the DC output adaptor (C) of the PSDCMin12/18 and
connect to the load. The connected 12VDC device will then be protected up to a maximum
power of 18 Watt by the PSDCMin12/18.
Restart/OFF Button Operation
If the PSDCMin12/18 experiences overload, it enters fault mode and switches the RED LED
ON. Remove the fault by disconnecting the load and press restart button to restart the UPS.
To turn OFF the DC UPS, unplug from the wall outlet, press the OFF button and hold for 5
seconds.

LED Indication
This LED is a two-color indicator: green or red color depending on operation status.

4. Applications
The DC UPS is designed for indoor use to provide emergency power backup to all kinds of 12V
DC-powered equipment up to a maximum power of 18 Watt such as routers, modems, set-top
box, VOIP phone systems, surveillance system, alarm system, access control system and many
critical telecom equipment.

CAUTION! Do NOT use this device in hot and humid environments.
CAUTION! Do NOT disassemble this product.
CAUTION! If the battery level is low, please recharge battery immediately.
CAUTION! When installing or replacing a new battery, be sure positive (+)
and negative (-) are correctly connected. Otherwise, DC UPS will be damaged.
CAUTION! Replace the Lithium-ion battery with the same type as stated in
specifications.
6. Trouble Shooting
Use the table below to solve minor problems.
