PRODUCT SAFETY
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
•The appliance is indoor use only. The appliance is not suitable for use in barns, stables, and
similar locations.
•The appliance is not to be used in locations where flammable vapors or explosive dust is likely to
exist.
•Hang or mount the appliance in a place where children cannot reach. (≥ 2.0m)
•Never remove any fixed part of the appliance to make any internal adjustment avoiding electric
shock. If the supply cord, the lamp, or other part of appliance is damaged, the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons must replace it in order to avoid a hazard.
•Unplug the appliance before cleaning. Use suitable plastic brushes to clean the high voltage
metal grid and throw away any insects on the collection tray every week.
•The insect killer is to be kept out of reach of children.
•Dangerous voltage
•Check the local voltage before working. Do not touch the internal high voltage grids during us
because of electric shock danger. Never put metal objects inside the grids while working. Be sure
to turn off and unplug the appliance when cleaning and repairing.
•Do Not touch the high-voltage grid.
•Do Not wash the appliance in water and keep dry.
•Repair should be carried out by the manufacturer or qualified persons.
•Please wait at least 10s between disconnecting the appliance from the mains supply and
performing and cleaning or maintenance.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the unit on a clean, level surface out of the reach of children.
2. Ensure the power switch on the unit’s side is in the OFF position.
3. Connect the mains plug to an appropriate socket outlet.
4. Switch the unit on by moving the switch to the ON position.
5. To switch the unit off, move the switch to the OFF position and
disconnect from the mains supply.
HANGING INSTALLATION
1. Ensure the unit is powered off before hanging.
2. Locate the 2 x hanging points on the top of the unit (Figure 2).
3. Clip each end of the chain to the hanging points (Figure 3) and check the chain is not twisted.
4. Hang the unit at the centre of the chain on an appropriate fixing point.
Note: you must conduct a full site survey prior to installation of any fixings to ensure the fixing
point will be safe and secure enough to bear the weight of the unit. Fitting should only be
carried out by a competent person.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
1. Ensure the unit is powered off and disconnected from the mains supply before cleaning.
2. The unit should be cleaned gently with a clean dry brush or cloth. Do not use water to clean
the unit.
3. The collection tray should be removed and emptied periodically. Remove the tray by lifting it
upwards slightly and pulling it forward.

REPLACING THE TUBES
1. Ensure the unit is disconnected from the mains power supply and the power switch is in the
off position and wait at least 10s.
2. Remove the collection tray.
3. Lie the unit on its side, so that the electrical discharge grid is facing downwards.
4. Remove 2 screws from the front of the unit (marked A above).
5. The grille can be tilted up and away from the tubes, they are hinged at the bottom.
6. To remove the tubes, rotate them 90° (quarter-turn) and slide them up and out the holders.
7. To insert new tubes, slide the tube pins into the grooves in the holders and rotate 90° to lock
them in place.
8. Replace the grille and secure using the screws removed in step 4.

POWER LEAD AND PLUG
If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service
centre. If the mains plug needs to be replaced, proceed as follows:
Connect the brown (live) wire to the terminal “L”
Connect the blue (neutral) wire to the terminal “N”
Connect the yellow and green (earth) wire to the terminal “E”
Ensure the cord grip is positioned correctly (over the outer sheath of the cable) and is fully
tightened.

DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
You must not dispose of this appliance with domestic household waste. Most local authorities have
specific collection systems for appliances and disposal is free of charge to the end user. When
replacing an existing appliance with a similar new appliance, your retailer may take the old
appliance for disposal.

SERVICE WARRANTY
Prem-I-Air guarantees the product free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of
1 year. Should this unit be operated under conditions other than those recommended, at voltages
other than the voltage indicated on the unit, or any attempts made to service or modify the unit,
then the warranty will be rendered void. The product you buy may sometimes differ slightly from
illustrations. This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights. If you have
