PRESSUREPRODESCRIPTIONPRE‐INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS
PressureProisawirelesselectronicTyrePressureMonitoringSystem(TPMS)thatis
designedtodisplaycurrenttyrepressuresondemand,whethermovingorstationary.
PressureProsystems,whichcanbeusedonallpneumatictyres,consistsoftwobasic
components:TyreSensorsthatscrewontothevalvestemsofthetyres,andthePulse
monitor.TheSensorsreadtyrepressuresevery7seconds(12,343timesaday),and
transmitacodedRFsignaltothePulsemonitorevery5minutesassuringtimely
information.IfanalarmlevelisreachedthePressureProSensorswilloverridethenormal
updateandalertthemonitorimmediately(see“Alerts”section).Duringanalert,the
tyrelocationlightflashesonthemonitor,thecurrentpressurereadingforthattyre
flashes,andanaudiblealertsounds.
PressureProsystemsprovidesuserswiththemarket’smostcomprehensivealert
schedule,withtwolowpressurealerts,ahighpressurealert,ahightemperaturealert,
afastleakalert,andacrossaxlealert,allusercustomizable.
PressureProisamonitoringsystemandwillnotpreventtyresfromlosingpressureor
failingbutitcanprovideearlynoticeofpotentialproblemsandalerttolowtyre
pressuresituations.BecauseofthequirksofRFTransmissionsandinterference,no
guaranteeofsignalreceptioncanbemade.PressureProisnotmeanttofunctionasa
pressuregaugeorlowpressureindicator.
WhenSensorsareinstalled,theyrecognizethetyre’scurrentpressureastheirBASELINE,
thereforethetyrepressureatthetimeofinstallationisimportant.Itisrecommendedto
installSensorswithalltyresinflatedtothemanufacturer'srecommendedpressureswhile
thetyresare“cool”.Installationinthemorningbeforevehiclemovementisoptimal,but
notnecessary.Installationcanbedonewhentyresare“warm”,thoughdoingso,without
manuallyresettingthereferencepressuresmaycausefalsealerts.Ifinstallationisdone
whiletyresare“warm”,simplyresetthereferencepressures:MENU‐>VEHICLESETTINGS

Tyresandvalvestemsshouldbecarefullyinspectedpriortoinstallationofthesystem
toensurethattheyareingoodcondition.Defectivevalvestemsmustbereplaced.At
times,itmaybenecessarytocleanthethreadsofthevalvestemwithawirebrushor
tappingtoolbeforeinstallingaSensor.
Thevalvecore(thesmallvalveinsidethevalvestem)mustdepressfullyandrelease
airfortheSensortoactivate.TheSensormightnotactivateproperlyifthevalvecore
pinisnotflushwiththeendofthevalvestem,allowingagoodreleaseofairtointerface
withtheSensor.Itisnotunusualtofindvalvecoresinstalledtoodeep,whichwillcause
theSensortonotactivateproperly.Thevalvecoreshouldbecentered.Checkvalve
corebypressingtheendofathumbnaildirectlyintothevalvecoretomakesureit
releasesa“burst”ofair.
NOTE‐WheninstallingSensorsonvehicleswithaluminumvalvestems:Newautos
mayincludefactoryinstalledTPMSSystems.NewvehicleswithTPMSutilizealuminum
valvestemswhilePressureProSensorsaremadewithbrassthreads.Brasswillbondto
aluminumduetothegalvanicactionbetweenthedifferentmetals.Wheninstalling
PressureProSensorstoaluminumstems,carefullyapplydielectricgrease,ananti‐seize
compound,tothealuminumstembeingcarefultoapplyonlytothethreadedareaof
thevalvestem.IMPORTANT:Forvehicleswithaluminumvalve
stemsremoveSensorsevery4weekstoensurethereisnofusing.If
storingthevehicleforextended
periods,removetheSensorsfromthealuminum
stems.

minutetoconfigureyourunit’stimeanddateandvehicleconfiguration,and–if
youwant–setyourcustomalertsettings.

Connectoppositeendtoa12Vpowersource

eachSensor’slocationsoitcanbereplacedonthesametyrelocationfromwhereitwas
removed(eliminatingtheneedforreprogramming),oruseasectionalstoragedevice
(similartoatackleboxdividersystem).Whenputtingthesystembackon,powerup
Monitorfirst,nextscrewSensorsontotheiroriginalwheellocations.Pressurereadingswill
displayonMonitor(cantakeupto1minutefornewreadingstoreport).PressurePro
systemisnowactive.

thePressureProisinstalled.RemovaloralterationoflabelsvoidsproductWarranty.Only
PressureProaccessoriesmaybeusedwithPressureProproducts.Theuseofotheraccessorieswith
PressureProproductisprohibitedandcandamagethePressureProproduct.Warrantyproblems
causedbyuseofaccessoriesnotsuppliedbyAPPwillnotbecoveredunderthewarranty.
LIMITATIONS:APPexpresslylimitstheapplicabilityoftheimpliedwarrantyofmerchantabilityand
theimpliedwarrantyoffitnessforaparticularpurposetotheone‐yearwarrantyperiodasprovided
herein.Somejurisdictionsdon’tallowlimitationsonhowlonganimpliedwarrantylasts,sothe

PROCEDURE
:
Intheeventthataproductfailurecoveredbythiswarrantyoccurswhilethiswarrantyis
ineffect,APPwill,atitsoption,either:(a)repairthedefectiveunit;(b)replacethedefectiveunit
withanewunit;or(c)replacethedefectiveunitwitharefurbishedunit.APPwillshipyourrepaired,
new,orrefurbishedunittoyouwithoutchargeforparts,service,oranyothercost(exceptshipping
andhandling)incurredbyAPPoritsrepresentativesinconnectionwiththeperformanceofthis
warranty.FailedunitscoveredunderthiswarrantymustbesentbyyoutoAPPwithshippingprepaid
byyou.Youareresponsibleforallcostsincurredintheremoval,reinstallation,andshippingofthe
unit.Acopyofthesalesslipreceivedbyyouatthepointofpurchaseoftheunitmustaccompany
