FULL UPGRADE DVDI-10
Contains:
HDMI upgrade board 1 pc
1. Download the three latest software from Primares Erez webserver and burn
the files on a CD-rom. (Info about webserver at the last page).
2. Download Flash magic at: www.flashmagictool.com/
3. RS-232 (Two versions available - AM/FM or DAB)
4. HDMI (Internal, unit has to be opened)
Step 1 Download software and burn CD-rom
After burning all 3 files on a disc please proceed as below:
!IMPORTANT! Do not interrupt the update sequence!
- Please switch the DVDI-10 ON
- Open the disc tray
- Put in the CD-rom
- Close the tray
- Wait until the display says *SUCCESS* (the tray will open in the
update sequence, please do not do anything until the update is
ready)

Step 2 RS-232
How to upload software
1. Please turn the DVDI10 off using the mainswitch on the back side.
2. Start flash magic from your computer.
3. To do the upgrade you will have to use the computer with a null
modem cable and an RS232 port
4. Run the program.
Settings shall be as on picture below.
Choose the COM port that you use on your computer.
(If COM port is missing use a USB to COM port)

5. Press the browse button to select the software file that’s located on
the CD-ROM.
6. To set the DVDI10 into upgrade mode press and hold the open
button while switching the power on using the mainswitch on the
backside. When the unit is in programming mode it will not do
anything (blank screen etc.)
7. Now press start in the Flash Magic programmer.
You will see the progress bar activate in flashmagic, when OK, turn
off the DVDI-10 using the mainswitch.

Step 3 HDMI Upgrade
1. Remove the topcover of your DVDI-10.
2. Remove the two jumpers (5J2 and 5J1) in the red circles.
3. Take the HDMI updater board
4. Attach cable ILP to 5J1 (Be sure to connect G to G (marked black
on the cable)
5. NOTE – Pin V is not connected as shown in RED circle below.

6. Disconnect cable JP 12 shown in picture
7. Connect powercable from the updater board to the JP12 cable
which you have disconnect. (RED meets RED) and please isolate
the updaterboard from the chassis.

How to upload HDMI software
1. Please switch the DVDI10 ON using the mainswitch on the back
side. (the unit will not show a display only black screen).
2. To do the upgrade you will have to use the computer with a null
modem cable and an RS232 port connected to the HDMI upgrade
board.
3. Run the program.
Settings shall be as on picture below.
Choose the COM port that you use on your computer.
(If COM port is missing use a USB to COM port)

4. Press the browse button to select the software file that’s located on

5. Now press start in the Flash-Magic programmer.
You will see the progress bar activate in flashmagic, when OK, turn
off the DVDI-10 using the mainswitch.
6. Remove power cable from updaterboard (JP12) and reconnect
JP12. (please see page 5)
7. Disconnect programmercable and remount jumpers in original
position.
8. Power on the DVDI10 and test its function.
