3.2 Warning marks placed on the ironing table
The following attention marks are placed on each ironing table:
The operator of the system has the obligation to inform himself regarding the dangers which
may occur during usage, so that he/she can avoid them or minimize their occurrence as best
as he/she is able to.
4. Instructions for installation
4.1 Installation
Put the ironing table in the designated area of your choice and align the machine by
increasing/decreasing the height of its feet No 14 (see the drawing of spare parts on page
10). Make sure that the ironing table is stable and the ironing surface flat.
4.2 Connection to Power Supply
For the electrical connection and above all for the power supply, please follow carefully the
instructions of the electric diagram (enclosed) as well the warning signs symbols attached on
the machine. In case you have purchased a single phase machine 230V, connect the machine
onto a schuko socket 230V/16A. The connection should be done with a tripolar cable 3Χ1,5
mm (1 phase, 1 neutral, 1 grounded). The power should be provided with a fuse 16Α. If the
machine is 400V/3 phase, the connection should be made to a 5-poles cable 5Χ1,5 mm (3

Instruction Manual Octopus
7
phase, 1 neutral, 1 grounding). The power should be secured with a tripolar circuit breaker
(3Χ10Α).
For any device that is connected to a 3-phased current, make sure that the rotation of the
motor is done clockwise.
CAUTION! For your own safety, pay attention to all the warning labels (yellow colored) that
are placed on the machine. The manufacturer bears no liability for any damages or accidents
due to faulty supplying network or to not specified personnel.
5. Operating instructions
For the instructions mentioned in the current section please see the below
images (picture 4 & picture 5).
5.1Activation Instructions
•Turn on the main switch No 1
•Turn on the switch No 2 to activate the suction.
•Turn on the switch No 3 to activate the heating on the ironing
surface.
•Switch the thermostat that is placed below the buck to temperature
110°C during the winter and to 90°C during the summer.
•Turn on the switch No 4 to activate the heating of the ironing bucks.
•Whenever you want to activate the suction, step lightly on the foot pedal.
•Adjust the intensity of the suction through the lever No 5, which
is located on the chimney. Adjust it from 0% - 100% depending
on the fabric (weight, quality etc.).
•Adjust the amount of steam from the steam generator in
proportion to the intensity of the suction to avoid the
liquidification of the steam on the ironing surface. Thinner
fabric requires smaller amounts of steam, while thicker fabric
requires larger amounts.
5.2 Additional Instructions
* In case your table disposes a blowing system of air (optional):
•Adjust the pressure of the blowing depending on the fabric
(weight, quality etc.) from the lever No 6 located beneath the
ironing surface.
•To activate the blowing, step lightly on the foot pedal.
**In case the table disposes a Vario iron system (optional):
•Hook the steam iron from the balancer and adjust the distance of the steam iron from
the working surface (approximately 5cm). After you have finished ironing, unhook the
steam iron from the balancer and put it on the iron rest mat.

5.3 Instructions for transferring Suction and Blowing air to and from the bucks
A) If you want to interchange the suction/blowing air from the ironing surface to the bucks
that are situated on the back side of the ironing table, you can pull the buck over the
ironing surface. The suction/blowing air automatically will be interchanged from the
ironing surface to the bucks and vice versa.
B) If you want to interchange the suction/blowing air from the ironing surface to the bucks
that are situated in the front side of the ironing table, you can push the lever No 08 (see
picture 5) which is located under the working surface. The suction/blowing air
automatically will be interchanged from the ironing surface to the bucks and vice versa.
For each individual buck that you want to use, you must align the arrows (see picture 5) of the
each buck with the arrow of the buck holder so that the suction/blowing function can be
transferred to the chosen buck.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Maintenance-Cleaning
Before cleaning/checking/maintaining the ironing table, ensure that it is not connected to any
power supply source and is not warm after usage. The processes of cleaning and maintenance
must be taken place frequently and it is vital for the correct, safe and long-term operation of
the ironing table.
For the correct operation of the ironing table over time you need to:
•Keep the covers of the board and the bucks clean, in order to have high suction and
blowing performance. Wash the blue polyester fabric cover once a month in the
washing machine (30-40°C).
•Replace the covers and the foams frequently for high suction and blowing performance.
•Remove any fuzz by dusting or cleaning the impeller at least 2-3 times a year.
•Clean and lubricate periodically the ball bearing of the swivel arms and the bucks of the
ironing table.
•Clean periodically the inner parts of the ironing table, as well as the circuit board, using
compressed air.
