AIR Wind Turbine: Quick Start Guide – Important Informaon
WARNING!
• Please read the AIR Owner’s Manual prior to
installaon! The AIR Owner‘s manual is saved in a
USB memory sck, which is included in the AIR box
with this quick start guide. The USB sck also
includes useful documents, videos, pictures and part
accessories for a safe and eecve install of the AIR
wind turbine. These documents are seperated into
named les on the USB sck.
• The most updated version of this manual is located

• The warranty does not include installaon errors of
the AIR wind turbine.
• If you are not familiar with electrical wiring, safety
procedures and o grid systems, please use a
qualied person to complete the install.
• Please use high quality terminal connecons and
correct wire sizing as a poor install may lead to
decreased perfomance or a non-operable AIR
turbine.
• If using Lithium Ion baery type (or Diversion/Dump
load) please refer to the AIR Owner’s manual
(Appendix A) prior to installaon of the AIR turbine.
These installaon types my require a Potenonmeter
seng change.
IMPORTANT: BEFORE INSTALL!
• All AIR turbines are voltage specic. Before
connecng your AIR turbine to the Baery Bank,
please be sure the voltage of the turbine matches
the voltage of the baery bank.
• Be sure to pay aenon to correct polarity when
connecng your posive and negave (Red/Black)
turbine wire leads. A reversed polarity connecon
will damaged the internal control circuit and this
would void the warranty.
• Green Wire is ground and proper turbine
grounding of the AIR turbine is crical to operaon
and protects people and equipment. Refer to AIR
Owner’s manual for specic grounding
recomendaons.
• Properly sized Breaker (recomended) or Slow Blow
Fuse is required in the AIR install to protect wiring
and addonal o grid equipment from over
current faults.
• Determine your wire size using chart in manual for
specic AIR turbine, wire run distance and voltage.
Stranded, cooper wire is reccomended.
• Read the AIR Owner‘s Manual prior to the start of
installaon.
WARNING: Rotang blades are a serious me-
chanical hazard. Install AIR wind turbines so no
one can come into contact with blades.
IMPORTANT: Follow proper storage instrucons
of your AIR wind turbine to limit any damage and
or water ingress when removing front hub/
blades for seasonal storage and or when trans-
porng between projects. Refer to AIR Owner’s
manual storage kit instrucons Appendix C.

INSTALLING THE AIR WIND TURBINE:
• Assembly blade set rst using proper torque for
hardware and provided tef-gel included. AIR X
Marine/AIR 30 units it is recomended p to p
measurement of blades to avoid vibraon. Read
AIR Owner’s Manual for procedure.
• All AIR turbines use a 1.5 inch SCH. 40/80 tower
pipe (1.875 inch OD). The YAW of the turbine
slips into this size pipe with the YAW pad in place.
Li turbine 1/8 of an inch to isolate turbine on
YAW pad to minimize vibraon transfer from
turbine to tower.
• Be sure all 3 WIRE connecons (RED-BLACK-
GREEN) are properly secure in tower pipe as non
solid connecons can lead to operaonal issues.
• Aer proper installaon of HUB nut, secure nose
cone on all 3 tabs on HUB. Rotate blade set and
listen for nose cone clicking or check any rubbing
with HUB on FACE of AIR turbine.
• Prior to tower lt up, power up turbine, be sure
to check for the 2 LED blinks to assure the proper
connecon of turbine to baery. Refer to AIR
Owner’s Manual on this topic and LED operaon.
AIR MAINTENANCE:
• Within 30-60 days aer inal turbine install,
check blade bolts, hub nut and YAW bolts for
proper torque to ensure safe long term operaon
of the AIR unit.
• Every 6-12 months, repeat procedure inspecon
procedure of hardware and include the
inspecon of the Blade set for chips or nicks.
