Pro-Ject Head Box II

Dear music lover,
thank you for purchasing a
PRO·JEO AUDIO Head Box.
In order to achieve maximum performance and reliability you should study these instructions for use carefully.

Connection to the amplifier
Connect the RCNPhono sockets marked Out on the Head Box to the RCNPhono sockets marked Tape In
on your amplifier, and the Tape Out sockets on your amplifier to Ihe In sockels on Ihe Head Box.
Take care 10 connect the left and right channels correclly. The righl channel is usually marked red, the left
channel black or white.
Connecting the headphones
Connect Ihe headphones to the ,~., (6,3mm 0) jack sockel on Ihe fronl of the Head Box. Use the control knob
10 adjusllhe level 10 Ihe required volume.
'V Please turn the volume level to minimum before conneding the headphone.
Minimum impedance
of the head phone 300hms.
Headphone replay
Use Ihe inpul selector of Ihe amplifier 10 choose the source you wish 10 hear. You may also have 10 engage
Ihe Tape Monitor button, depending on how your amplifier switches sources 10 lope.
Mains power connection
The Speed Box is supplied wilh apower supply suitable for your country's mains supply. Check the label
before connecting 10 ensure compliance
wilh the mains rating in your house. Connect the low voltage plug
from Ihe power supply to the Power
-16V socket before connecting the power supply to the mains.

Potential incorrect use and fault conditions
No signal on one or both channels:
No connection between headphone and Head Box ore amplifier. This could be due
to afaulty plug, broken wire or solder joint or simply loose plug/socket connection.
Headphone does
not work:
Headphone volume control
is at minimum.
Amplifier Tope-Monitor circuit
is not activated.
Service
Should you encounter aproblem which you are not able to alleviate or identify despite the above information,
please contact your dealer for further odvice.
Only when the problem cannot be resolved there should the
unit be sent to the responsible distributor in your country.
