General Safety Instructions:
Professional loudspeakers can produce harmful sound pressure
levels. SPLs above 95 dB can permanently damage your hearing.
Observe the relevant guidelines regarding working safety and
health protection.
To avoid physical and personal damages due to loudspeakers
dropping or tumbling over, please make sure that the speakers
stand safely on a firm ground.
Vertically stacked loudspeakers must be secured sufficiently with
tension belts against unintentional movement.
Check all cabinets and accessories regularly for wear, especially
the flying rails and the tripod flange. Replace them if necessary.
Make sure that during operation on spacer tubes, no persons will
stand close to the loudspeakers.
Use only accessory parts specified by ProAudio Technology or
original accessory parts from ProAudio Technology.
Loudspeakers always produce a magnetic field. Make sure
that during transport, setup and disassembly and also during
operation of the loudspeakers no objects (such as laptops,
harddisk drives, credit cards and the likes) get close to the
speakers which could become damaged by the magnetic field.
People who have a pacemaker must keep a safety clearance.
The minimum recommended safety clearance is 1 m.
Do not set up the loudspeakers in places where they are
permanently exposed to moisture, dust, dirt or direct sunlight.
Care:
Wipe the surface of loudspeakers only with a damp cloth and
pure water.
In case of heavy pollution, repeat the above procedure several
times if necessary.
Do not use any chemical additives or aggressive detergents, as
these may harm and damage the surfaces.

Note:
Only one 4-pole cable is
required to connect 2-channel
configurations of several MT12
and SW18 / SW28 subwoofers.
Only one 4-pole cable is required
to connect two e.g. monitor paths
elegantly without additional
reversible cables.
Description:
The MT12 is a universal 2-way multi-purpose loudspeaker with a
built-in passive frequency crossover. It is equipped with one 12“
cone chassis with a water-repellent coating and one 1.4“ high-
frequency driver. The directivity characteristic is 80° x 60° (h x v).
This loudspeaker is to be used exclusively with the
ProAudio Technology system amplifiers.
Different setups enable a practice-oriented usage with or without
SW18 / SW28 subwoofers.
Alternatively Hoellstern DELTA series amplifiers with built-in DSP
may be used. Should you have any questions, please contact
ProAudio Technology regarding this subject.
Cabinet:
The cabinet is made of 15 mm birch multiply wood and coated
with a robust 2-component texture paint finish. A 45° corner
allows it to be used as a monitor speaker. It is fitted with two
handles, eight stacking feet and a tripod flange. Two flying rails
and six M10 flying points complete the list of features. Behind the
front grille is a layer of black acoustic foam.
Connection:
The connections are made on the rear side through a total of four
Neutrik NL4 SpeakON sockets which are angled in two directions
by 45 degrees relative to the rear cabinet wall. Three of the
four sockets are wired in parallel with each other. Pin pair 1 is
connected to the speaker chassis. On the fourth SpeakON socket,
which is marked correspondingly and rotated by 180 degrees, the
pins have been reversed. Pin pair 2 is connected to the speaker.
Combinations of MT12 and subwoofers, which are fed via a 4-
pole lead, must be connected only to the non-marked SpeakON
sockets!
Never use the marked SpeakON socket that is arranged rotated
by 180 degrees.
Operation on System Amplifiers:
The amplifier configuration software will display help texts for the
individual loudspeakers. Select a setup which contains the name
“MT12“.
On the DELTA8.4-DSP system amplifier up to two MT12 can be
driven per channel.
On the DELTA14.4-DSP system amplifier a maximum of four
MT12 can be driven per channel.
Details will be shown by the software upon entering the number
of MT12 speakers per channel.
Note:
Use the MT12 loudspeaker only
on system amplifiers with the
available setups. Otherwise there
may be a risk of damage and
inadequate performance.
