General Safety Instructions:
Professional loudspeakers can produce harmful sound pressure
levels. SPLs above 95 dB can permanently damage your hearing.
Observe the relevant guidelines regarding working safety and
health protection.
To avoid physical and personal damages due to loudspeakers
dropping or tumbling over, please make sure that the speakers
stand safely on a firm ground.
Vertically stacked loudspeakers must be secured sufficiently with
tension belts against unintentional movement. The rubber feet
of the speakers must lock into the appropriate sockets on the
opposite side.
Check all cabinets and accessories regularly for wear, especially
the flying hardware. Replace them if necessary. Make sure that
during operation on spacer tubes no persons are standing close
to the loudspeakers.
Use only accessory parts specified by ProAudio Technology or
original accessory parts from ProAudio Technology.
Loudspeakers always produce a magnetic field. Make sure
that during transport, setup and disassembly and also during
operation of the loudspeakers no objects (e.g. laptops, harddisk
drives, credit cards and the likes) get close to the speakers which
could be damaged by the magnetic field. People who have a
pacemaker must keep a safety clearance.
The recommended minimum safety clearance is 1 m.
Do not set up the loudspeakers in places where they are
permanently exposed to humidity, dust, dirt or direct sunlight.
Care:
Wipe the surface of loudspeakers only with a damp cloth and
pure water.
In case of heavy pollution, repeat the above procedure several
times if necessary.
Do not use any chemical additives or aggressive detergents, as
they may harm and damage the surfaces.

Note:
Using only one 4-pole cable,
2-channel combinations of
several VT8s and VS15 / VS18 /
VS28 / SW12 / SW18 or SW28
subwoofers can be connected.
Description:
The VT8is a vertical array fullrange loudspeaker that uses a
ported 2-way design with a built-in passive frequency crossover.
It is fitted with one 8“ cone drivers with a water-repellent coating
which are arranged symmetrically around the horn-loaded 1.4“
HF driver.
The horizontal radiation angle is 90 degrees.
The fully integrated three-point rigging hardware enables vertical
angles between 0 and 8 degrees in continuous 1-degree steps
and vertical array lengths of up to 16 VT8 loudspeakers.
The loudspeaker must be run on ProAudio Technology system
amplifiers exclusively.
Different setups allow a practice-oriented operation with or
without VS15/ VS18 / VS28 / SW12 / SW18 or SW28 subwoofers.
Enclosure:
The cabinet is made from 15 mm birch plywood and coated with
a robust two-component textured paint. We have integrated four
recessed handles.
The three-point flying hardware is fully integrated without any
protruding or losable parts.
A black, water-repellent acoustic foam is placed behind the front
grille.
Connection:
Connection is made through two rear Neutrik NL4 SpeakON
sockets wired in parallel.
Pin pair 1 is connected to the speakers.
Pin pair 2 may be used for connecting VS15 / VS18 / VS28 / SW18
/ SW28 or SW12 subwoofers (slave-through option).
Operation on System Amplifiers:
The software for amplifier configuration will display help texts for
the individual loudspeakers. Select a setup which contains the
name “VT8“.
With the 8.4-DSP system amplifier up to four VT8s can be driven
per channel.
On the 20.4-DSP system amplifier up to eight VT8s can be driven
per channel.
Details will be shown by the software upon entering the number
of VT8 loudspeakers per channel.
Note:
Only run the VT8 loudspeaker
on system amplifiers using the
available setups. Otherwise there
may be a risk of damage and
insufficient performance.
