WARNINGS
This appliance is intended for domestic household use
only and should not be used for any other purpose or in
any other application, such as for non-domestic use or in
a commercial environment.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
The appliance shall not be exposed to rain.
WARNING: Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance
enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other
means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than
those recommended by the manufacturer.

cooked before, in order to eliminate harmful bacteria.

To prevent possible harm to the environment or human
health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material
resources. And the disposal should only be done
through public collection points.
For installation, servicing:
Appliance should be placed on a horizontal floor and
keep the ventilation freely. Don’t try to replace or repair
any components by yourself, ask the service agency for
help if necessary.
For handling:
Always handle the appliance to avoid any damage.

INSTALLATION
Position the appliance and allow it to stand for two to three hours before it is turned on for
the first time to allow the system to settle. Do not position next to any heat source e.g.
cooker, boiler or in direct sunlight etc.
Allow at least 10cm of space at the top and 10 cm of space on both sides of the appliance
and between the back of the appliance and the wall for adequate air circulation. The
appliance is not designed for recessed installation (“building in”).
Install on a good firm level surface, and any unevenness of the floor should be corrected
prior to installation, slight unevenness can be overcome by adjusting the front feet.

NOTE: If the appliance is positioned on a carpet, soft floor covering you should readjust
the front feet once the appliance has had time to settle.
OPERATION
This appliance is designed to operate in ambient temperature between 16℃and 38℃. If
these temperatures are exceeded, i.e. colder or warmer, the appliance will not operate
correctly. If the ambient temperatures are exceeded for long periods, the temperature in the
fridge will rise above 4℃and food spoilage may occur.
Remove all packaging materials from the appliance. Wash the inside of the cabinet with
lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Dry the appliance
thoroughly.
When you use the fridge for the first time or after defrosting, set the thermostat to the
maximum position for at least 2 hours, and then readjust to the normal position.
Additional spacers for better performance
There are 2 additional spacers in the bag of the instruction manual. We
suggest you install these 2 spacers to your refrigerator as per the diagram
below.
Note, the fitting of these spacers is not essential but will ensure that there is
sufficient space for air circulation and better cooling performance.

When you set the correct temperature, all these factors mentioned above shall be taken
into account.

1. Fill the ice tray with ¾ full of clean water.
2. Place the tray in the ice box compartment.

To remove the ice cubes from the tray, put the tray under running water for a while and
then twist the tray slightly to loosen the ice cubes.

This ice box compartment is a part of the fridge compartment, and not a true ice-making
compartment or a true freezer, and may not keep ice cream frozen, or freeze items.
The temperature in this compartment does not get cold enough to freeze food safely.
A colder setting can be used, but other items in the refrigerator may also be affected.

The refrigerator is controlled with a temperature control knob located inside the appliance,
towards the upper right-hand corner. Turn the knob clockwise from the STOP (0) position
towards the higher numbers for colder temperatures.
Higher settings on the knob (higher numbers) mean lower temperatures (colder) in all
compartments of the appliance.
Changes of the ambient temperature affect temperature in the interior of the appliance so
choose a correct setting of the temperature control knob, depending on your ambient
conditions.
In the STOP (0) position the appliance does not operate (the cooling system is switched

1. Unscrew the two screws (6) and remove the top cover (7).
2. Remove the two screws (1) that hold the upper hinge (5).
3. Remove the upper hinge.
4. Lift the door off the lower hinge pin.
Place it on a padded surface to prevent it from being scratched.
5. Remove the foot (3) and the two screws (8) that hold the lower hinge.
6. Remove the lower hinge (2) with hinge pin (9).
7. Unscrew the left front foot (4) and transfer it the right side.
8. Unscrew the hinge pin (9) and re-fit it to the other side of the lower hinge (reversed).
9. Screw the lower hingeonto the left side of the lower frame with two screws (8) and the
foot (3).
10. Position the door in place making sure the door seats onto the lower hinge.
11. Align the door in the closed position to secure the upper hinge in the top frame on the
left side with the screws (1).
Make sure all the screws are tightened.
12. Re-fit the top cover by tightening the screws (6).

You may notice some rather unusual noises. The noises are caused by circulation of
refrigerant in the cooling system. It has become more pronounced since the introduction of
CFC free gases. This is not a fault and will not affect the performance of your fridge.

If the appliance is not in use for a long period of time, proceed as follows:
Disconnect from the mains supply.
Clean and dry the inside (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance’).
Leave the door open to prevent any unpleasant smells from building up while the
appliance is not in use.

DO check contents of the compartments every so often.
DO check high quality fresh food and be sure it is thoroughly clean before refrigerating.
DO wrap all food in food quality polythene bags or air tight containers and make sure any
air is excluded.
Do Not store poisonous or dangerous substances in the appliance. It has been designed for
the storage of edible foodstuffs only.
Do Not leave the door open for long periods, as this will make the appliance more costly
to operate and cause excessive ice formation.
Do Not use sharp objects such as knives to remove the ice from the appliance. Only use a
plastic scrapper.
Do Not put hot food into the appliance. Let it cool down to room temperature.
Do Not put liquid-filled bottles or sealed cans containing carbonated liquids into the low
temperature compartment as they may burst.
CLEANING AND MAINTENACE
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Remove all substances.
3. Wash the inside walls with a solution of mild detergent in warm water or 5ml
baking soda to 0.5 litre warm water.
4. Wash exteriors with a clean sponge or soft cloth and a mild detergent in warm water.
5. Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.
6. Replace all containers.
7. Plug the appliance in.

The ice box compartment will need defrosting periodically or when the frost is more than
3mm thick.
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Remove the ice trays.
Ensure the drip tray is located correctly under the ice box.
3. When ice box compartment is fully defrosted, clean the inside (see ‘Cleaning and
maintenance’).
4. Close the door and plug the appliance in.
5. Set the thermostat temperature control to your normal setting.

If the door has been opened too often or it has been left open for a while it will take
time for the appliance to reach its set temperature.
Check the airflow over the rear of the appliance has not been reduced due to
insufficient clearance.
Check if a large quantity of fresh food has been introduced.
DISPOSAL
The refrigerating gas contained in the circuit of this appliance is isobutane (R600a); it
causes a low level of pollution but is inflammable. Please contact your local disposal
department for advice on the correct method of disposal.
