Introduction
Product Overview
PROLiNK DS-3301 Smart IR Controller allows you to remotely control your TV, cable box, or
any other device that uses an IR remote control through your Android Phone or iOS IPhone
from anywhere, at any time by using PROLiNK mEzee App. It communicates with your phone
through your local wireless network so that you won't need any separate networks, hubs, or
controllers. It supports remote controls that use a 38 kHz IR signal and includes thousands of
pre-programmed devices to choose from. If your device is not on the list, you can easily add it
by teaching the controllerthe codes used by your remote for its various functions. Create groups
and schedules to integrate the various PROLiNK powered devices so that they operate in
conjunction with each other. The PROLiNK mEzee App provides an all-in-one experience
connecting all devices for a smarter connected home. Work with Smart Speaker PSB8602E
Sonority II, Alexa Devices, Google Assistance, and Tmall Genie Smart Speaker. With this
feature, you can easily control your Air Conditioners, TVs, and Fan. You can only say, "Alexa,
turn on/off Air Conditioning" or "Hi Google, Turn on/off TV."

Smart IR Controller Placement Recommendation
For best IR Signal Transmitted and Received, follow these recommendations when placing the
DS-3301:
1. Place the DS-3301 Smart IR controller near the electronics or appliances you wish to
control. Ensure and limit obstacles blocking the infrared signal
2. Place the DS-3301 Smart IR Controller within three feet of the router

App Installation and Login
1. Download, install and create an account through PROLiNK mEzee App. Scan below
QR code to download from Google Store or Apple App Store.
2. Once the app is installed, launch it.
3. If you have already used the PROLiNK mEzee App, tap the “Login with Existing
Account”, then enter your mEzee account information. If you have not installed or used
the mEzee App before, proceed to App registration. Tap “Register” and you can
register using your phone number or by using your email address. Follow the on-
screen app instructions for more details:-
•Register using your email address or using your phone number
•Enter the verification code send to your email or your phone number

•Set the password for your mEzee Account.
Please note that the password must contain 6-20 characters and must include
at least one number.

Add a Device
Smart Mode Installation
Smart mode is the default mode for installing your device. It uses your wireless network to
communicate between your smartphone and the smart device. If you do not have a Wi-Fi
network or do not wish to include it in your network, see the AP Mode Installation section.
1. Launch the PROLiNK mEzee App
2. Tap “+”on the Add Devices screen to add a new device
3. Select “Universal Remote Control”toadd your DS-3301 to mEzee App.

4. TheStatusIndicatorshouldbeflashingbluerapidly,indicatingthatitisreadytobe paired
withyournetwork.Tap“Confirm Indicator Rapidly Blink” ontheappto continue,
5. If the Status Indicator is not flashing blue rapidly, press and hold the Reset Button for 5
seconds. The Status Indicator will flash blue rapidly, indicating that the device has been
successfully reset and is ready to be paired with your network.

6. Input the password to your wireless network, then tap Confirm again. Please note that,
the DS-3301 is only can connect with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, if your router is set to Band
Steering Enable, please tap “Continue”, if connected to the 5GHz Wi-Fi network please
change to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
7. The app will start connecting to the device. Tap “Done”once it is completed.

AP Mode Installation
AP mode installation is slightly different from Smart mode, of which you are to connect to the
device’s SSID it does not use your Wi-Fi network to manage the communications between
your smartphone and the device. Instead, it will connects your phone's Wi-Fi directly to the
device's built-in hotspot network. Please note,to change the initial setup to AP Mode, by press
and hold “Reset Button” for 5 Second after the LED indicator blinking fast. The LED Indicator
will turn to blinking slow to indicate its ready to setup in AP Mode.
1. Launch the PROLiNK mEzee App
2. Tap “+” on the Add Devices screen to add a new device
3. Select “Universal Remote Control”

4. Tap “Other Mode” at the top right and select “AP Mode”
5. Press and Hold Reset button for 6seconds to change to AP Mode, indicated by the LED
blinks slowly. If it does begin blinking slowly, tap “Confirm Indicator Slow Blinking” on
the app to continue.

6. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap “Confirm”. Please note that the DS-3301 can only
connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. If your router is set to Band Steering Enable, please
tap “Continue” when prompted that it only supports 2.4GHz.
7. Tap “Go to Connect” and use your phone’s WiFi setting to connect to “PROLiNK-
XXXX” or “SmartLife-XXXX”SSID, then return back to mEzee App.

8. The Smart IR will start connecting to the home Wi-Fi. Tap “Done” once it is completed.

From PROLiNK mEzee App, the app features for DS-3301 Smart IR Controller:-
-Set up your universal IR controller and select from pre-programmed devices
-Eliminate your multiple remote controls with an all-in-one remote using your smartphone
or tablet by using PROLiNK mEzee App
-Pair with other PROLiNK smart devices to create a scene and trigger other actions to
perform

PROLiNK mEzee App Operations
Adding an IR Remote
1. Launch the mEzee App and select Smart IR > then tap Add remote control.
2. Select a device type. You can choose Set Top Box, TV, Air conditioning, TV Box, Fan,
DVD Player, Light, Projector Audio (Hi-Fi) or DIY. For the DIY option allows you to create
your own remote type.
