your elf in the wire and wirele communication applied in daily live . The product i under our
delicate de ign, which ha fulfilled the ideal way of communication expre ed on the logan of
“making wirele to wire” ver u “making wire to wirele ”. It can ave your communication
expen e and bring you an unpredictable effort u ing thi product.
2. Function Interpretation
(1) Conver ion of wire & wirele communication
We can u e GSM Gateway to apply conventional telephone et replacing cell phone to
perform ending and receiving phone call .
(2) Auto- elect economic route
From variou etting , will determine the call connected through local PSTN Line or GSM
on accordance of call number dialed therein, which can ave phone-call fee a a favorable
benefit.
(3) Through the connection toward local PSTN line, the phone call will proceed with
code-tran fer dialing proce . For example, when you dial “002”, will tran fer it to “006”
and tran mit the call through the other fixed communication network y tem .
(4) Voice volume modulating y tem
In order to cooperate with different application environment, the Wizard i capable to
modulate the voice volume of phone.
(5)MVPN Function
Provide MVPN routing according to the prefix of MVPN number for GSM carrier.

3. Parts Of Equipment
After opening the package, plea e check whether all part attached to Wizard are
provided in the package. If there i any mi ing, plea e query the ale agent promptly to

5. Demonstration on Dou le Sides of Equipment
5.1 1 port
(1) Socket of externally connected antenna.

6. Install Line Connections
6.1 1 port
Wiring Diagram
(1)Take apart your local PSTN connecting line from the phone or PBX, and connect it to the
LINE connecting lut of . If you u e to end and receive call only, then you don’t need to
connect the local PSTN line.
(2)Connect PHONE connecting lut to the inlet ide of phone et or PBX.
(3)Put in tran former power. The DC end connect to DC 12V of , and then the PW lamp on the
front ide of hould light up.
(4) will proceed with y tem detection after booting. Plea e connect the Line and Phone
correctly before energizing it. If problem i found during the y tem operation, plea e take
power ource off fir t and proce wiring ta k next.

7. Set the Allow-to-Dial Code
(1)Hold the phone and dial number following the order illu trated below:
***#nnnn#: n mean the code that allow ending call out from GSM. Hang up the phone
and the etting i thu completed. When the coding number i altered, follow the above tep
to et up again.

8. Code Conversion Setting
Format: ###* [Waiting for confirming tone] (turn etting function on)

Where aaaa mean original code, bbbb mean converted code; the ###*002#006# mean
converting prefix code 002- to 006- automatically.
We have defined thi code dialing mechani m outputting through Telephone Office line
y tem of PSTN. If we want to output through GSM, we can et the fir t code to “*”, uch a
###*002#*006#, which mean that will auto-convert prefix code 002- to 006- and dial out
through GSM.
9. Cancel Code-Conversion

(6)When not connecting to Telephone Office line(PSTN), GSM will provide the forced
dial-out function

(7)Set up GSM extra dialing local code
When both GSM and PSTN dial local code, the difference between them i that GSM ha
to extra dial up local code wherea PSTN need not. Thi function applie to the condition
that when PSTN ha been cut and u er dial local phone No., y tem thu will add in local
code automatically and dial out from GSM.
Format: *#** [Waiting for confirming tone]

aa mean code limit. There are till certain re triction when auto-adding local code, uch
a that the ervice or emergent phone call need not to add extra code dialing action. Thi
etting i that when the total phone number length inputted i horter to the etting value,
then won’t extra dial local code. bb mean local code (2~8 digital ), it i n’t contained in
the original code while dialing out through GSM, and will auto-add it in advance.
Example: *#**630604#, if the prefix code i n’t “0” (04), and total code number i n’t le
than 6, then when dialing out form GSM it will dial “04” ahead of the other
code number . If correct, the will beep up once in re pon e. If not, the then will
beep up four time con ecutively in tead.
Default etting =00, to turn off thi function.
Note: If it isn’t connecting to PSTN, then the phone won’t dial out through
GSM, in case not setting up this function and not passing through the
checking num er of allow-to-dial code.
(8)Voive volume modulation

aa mean voice volume, which varie from 00-04, 00 i the bottom value and 04 i the peak one.

Example: *#**210404#, it mean that the voice volume i et to the maximum value. If correct,
the will beep up once in re pon e. And if not, the then will beep up four time
con ecutively in tead.
Default etting =04, it mean that the maximum voice volume i et up.

of 02-08 through PSTN, it will automatically dial out 1805 in advance. If correct,
the will beep up once in re pon e. If not correct, the then will beep up four time
con ecutively in tead.
Default etting: None.
(11)GSM imulated echo-bell- ound function
Format: *#** [Waiting for confirming tone]

It’ the function of dialing out phone call from GSM and generate echo-bell- ound before tarting
to talk in the phone.
aa mean echo-bell- ound time in a unit of 0.1 ec. ( 00-98).
bb need to be inputted identical to aa. Thi function will di able if etting up to “00”.
If etting up to “99”, it won’t have time limit on it.
Notice: that thi echo function will be halt if there i actual echo ound, reply or voice re pon e
occurred therein.
Default etting =00 (turn off thi function).
(12)GSM i n’t ready, call will be forced to dial out from PSTN

While GSM i n’t ready, the function will let the phone forcedly dial out from PSTN.
If aa i et to “01”, it mean that the call i not to dial out through PSTN and pre ented by the tone
ignal of bu y line.
If aa i et to “02”, it mean that the phone call i forced to dial out through PSTN.

11.Setting of Specific Call-Transfer

(1)PSTN TO GSM
The GSM GATEWAY can receive call from PSTN and end them out through GSM.
Format: *#** [Waiting for confirming tone]

Where 80 are function code , nnnn mean the call number i to be dialed out.
To cancel thi function, pre *#**80**#.
Example: *#**800911123456#, repre ent that PSTN end-in call can be dialed out to
0911123456.
(2)GSM TO PSTN
(2.1)Setup GSM-to-PSTN a igned mode
Thi machine can receive call from GSM and dial them out through PSTN.
Format : *#** (Waiting for confirming tone)

Where 81 are function code , nnnn mean the call number i to be dialed out.
To cancel thi function, pre *#**81**#.
Example: *#**810281112345#, repre ent that GSM end-in call can be dialed out to

To input it, pre “#”, and “*” to certify the input.
Example: *#**810423210287*#, it mean dialing out phone call to 0423210287#
(2.2)GSM call-Tran fer etting time to PSTN auto re pon e
When GSM phone call i dialed out through PSTN, it doe n’t have the re ponding ignal in
ome practical application and require to u e thi function to auto-re pond a few econd
later.

12. Short Code Setting
Allow to etup 100 et of hort code. Once the hort code ha been et ( ee function 31

a *00# ~ *09#). The routing function applie to the etup number rather than the hort
code it elf.

15. Q&A
Q1: “PWR” lamp doe n’t light up after power on?
A : No power tran mitted to power plug, or the tran former i mal-functioned.
Q2: No further vocal ound heard after picking up the phone?
A : Phone line i di connected or wrong wire connected.
Q3: Why the “Bu y Tone” i heard directly wile picking up phone?(Not linked to PSTN)
A : GSM i n’t ready yet, it might occur from the rea on of di connecting antenna, not able
to receive ignal or equipment mal-functioned.
Q4: How to et up allow-to-dial number?
A : Step I: connect a call receiver at phone.
Step II: lift up phone.
Step III: dial ***#, and et up all-to-dial code after hearing “beep” ound, then
pre # again to confirm.
If we need to et up more than one allow-to-dial code , u e # to eparate them off.
Ex: ***#0910# beep 0920# beep
It mean that the allow-to-dial number i et to 0910 and 0920.
Step IV: hang up phone peaker and the etting proce i over.
Q5: How to clear up the former etting of allow-to-dial?
A : Each new etting will auto-cover over the former two etting .
Q6: How to quick- ending out code ?
A : Pre # after dialing out phone call, it will be ent out immediately.

Q7: how many allow-to-dial code can thi machine memorize?
A : 50 et .
Q8: Can we u e to fax or make data preparation?
A : Negative, only can perform tone function exclu ively.
Q9: After etting up allow-to-dial code, why we can’t elect the allow-to-dial route?
A : (1) Check if line (PSTN) i connected properly.
(2) The allow-to-dial function ha n’t been et up yet, i.e., not to follow the correct etup
procedure proce ing etup.
(3) Thi machine derive the line malfunction in pecting ability. If the line i out of
order, it will connect to GSM route in a forced way (have to et up local code in
advance).
Q10: If the ha no power on it, and it line connect to PSTN, can it dial out?
A : Ye , it could, yet i confined to dial out by PSTN only.
Q11: Can the phone make in pection on the echo ignal of polarity rever al?
A : Ye , it could. When call i dialed out through GSM, the phone will make linear
polarity rever al when it’ called for echo re pon e.
Q12: Doe the machine de erve CLID function?
A : Ye , it doe . When GSM end in call ignal, it will end the CLID out from phone by
DTMF ignal.
Q13: How to compul orily dial out any number through GSM (VPN)?
A : We can pre ’*’ before dialing out, and dial phone number next to it. Finally, pre ‘#’
to fini h thi ta k.
