Operating Instructions
Please read all instructions before using your PuraShield
500 Air Purier. Follow the directions below for easy set-up
and rst time operation.
• Unpack and remove all packing material Remove air
purier from plastic bag.
• Completely unravel the power cord and place your
PuraShield 500 Air Purier on a at, dry stable surface,
at least four inches from any wall, with the air vent
facing away from the wall.
• Make sure the speed control switch is in the Off (O)
position and plug the power cord into an appropriate
wall outlet (USA-120V/60Hz, EU-220V/50-60Hz)
• Your PuraShield 500 Air Purier features three different
speed settings high (III), medium (II), and low (I). The
highest setting will provide the fastest delivery of clean air.
• When rst turning on your PuraShield 500 Air Purier, set
to the high setting and let it run for an hour. After an
hour, turn speed control switch to desired setting.
• Your PuraShield 500 Air Purier is designed to a run 24/7.
This ensures optimal lter performance and guarantees
the air is clean and free from pollutants.

BEFORE USING YOUR PURASHIELD 500 AIR PURIFIER.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should
always be followed to reduce the rst of re, electric shock,
and injury to persons including the following:
1. Read all instructions before operating your PuraShield
500 Air Purier.
2. Always place your PuraShield 500 Air Purier on a rm,
at, dry level surface.
3. The PuraShield 500 Air Purier must be used in its
upright position
4. Keep your PuraShield 500 Air Purier away from heated
surfaces, open ames, combustible gases, and vapors
5. Keep your PuraShield 500 Air Purier and cord out of the
way, where it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
6. Before operating your PuraShield 500 Air Purier,
extend the cord and inspect for any signs of
damage. Do not use your PuraShield 500 Air Purier if
the cord is damaged.
7. Keep your PuraShield 500 away from water and
other liquids.
8. Do not run power cord under carpets, and do not cover
with throw rugs.
9. Always turn you PuraShield 500 Air Purier to the off (O)
position and unplug from t he wall before moving it,
changing the lter or whenever it is not in use. Be sure to
pull the plug and not the cord when disconnecting from
the outlet.
10. Do not drop, insert or allow any objects to enter
into any opening of your PuraShield 500 Air Purier.
If this occurs, immediately turn off and unplug your
PuraShield 500 Air Purier and call a PuraShield 500
customer service representative.

11. Do not block the air openings on your PuraShield 500
Air Purier. Blocking the air openings will decrease
the efciency of your PuraShield 500 Air Purier and
increase risk of injury.
12. Do not user outdoors. Your PuraShield 500 Air Purier is
intended for indoor use only.
13. To avoid the risk of re, shock or personal injury, do not
use an extension cord.
14. Do not sit, stand, or place heavy objects on your
PuraShield 500 Air Purier.
15. Do not operate your PuraShield 500 Air Purier if it
malfunctions or becomes damaged in any way.
16. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust, any electrical
or mechanical functions on your PuraShield 500 Air
Purier. Doing so will void your warranty. All servicing
should be performed by an authorized PuraShield 500
Air representative only.

You will need a large plastic trash
bag, a pair of work gloves and a
Phillips screwdriver.
Switch your unit to the OFF position.
Unplug your PuraShield 500 Air
Purier from the power outlet.
Turn your PuraShield 500 Air Purier
upside down on a soft surface.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove
the four retaining screws from the
bottom cover.
Wearing a pair of protective work
gloves, lift the bottom cover off ans
set aside.
Carefully remove the lter and
dispose in a plastic trash bag.

The lter should be replaced every 6 months with
typical 24/7 operation.

Remove the outer pre-lter and
dispose in the same plastic trash bag
Install the new outer pre-lter by
aligning the pre-lter seam with the
power cord.
Install the new lter top side down.
Replace the bottom cover and
screw down tightly.
Turn your PuraShield 500 Air Purier
right side up and operate on high
(III) for at least one hour.

Optimal Performance
Cleaning Instructions
Your PuraShield 500 Air Purier has been designed to require
very little maintenance. To remove the dust buildup on the
360-degree air intake, vacuum the exterior of the unit using
the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. To clean the
other surfaces on your PuraShield 500 Air Purier, wipe with a
soft dampened cloth.
CAUTION
Warning. Do not attempt to clean the lter. Washing or cleaning
the lter will voice the warranty and may cause injury.
