Care Instructions
Suggested Products | RO water with at least 30% ISO + Bar Keepers Friend.
Never Use | Bleach, Comet, or other abrasive cleaners.
We strongly recommend deep cleaning your Bruteless stainless steel vessel, fittings, and paddle with 99% ISO at
the end of each day’s washing.
We recommend using Bar Keepers Friend brand cleaning powder with a gentle abrasive pad such as the Scotch-Brite
7445 Light Duty Cleansing Pads.
Need to Scrub Your Vessel?
Stainless does not "rust" as you think of regular steel rusting with a red oxide on the surface that flakes off. If you see
red rust, it is probably due to some iron particles that have contaminated the surface of the stainless steel -- i.e.
SOS pad, wire wheel, or a screwdriver scratch -- and it is these iron particles that are rusting. Look at the source of
the rusting and see if you can remove it from the surface. We recommend Barkeepers Friend for removing surface
rust and general cleaning. If the Barkeepers Friend doesn’t work, you can try a solution of 10% nitric and 2%
hydrofluoric acid at room temperature or slightly heated. If any of these methods are used, care needs to be taken
to ensure all chemicals are 100% removed prior to use.
The SSNA has a great deal of general information regarding the care and cleaning of Stainless steel.

Seeing Rust?
The insulation jacket is composed of a shell and a core. The shell is neoprene and can be wiped clean if needed. The
core is a moisture resistant closed cell foam and should not absorb liquid.

Important!
Pre-Chilling: We recommend to pre-chill your system for 5 minutes (minimum 2-3 min) before getting started.
We recommend reaching 35ºF. You can track your temperature using the Bruteless temperature gauge accessory.
Water Pumps: Do not run the pumps dry for > 5min or else you may permanently damage your water pump(s)
and it may void the warranty. Pumps may be flushed with 30% ISO solution.
Hose Cleaning: We recommend to clean all hoses regularly with 70% H20 / 30% ISO mixture, which you can easily
make in a tub or other container. Pour the solution into the wash vessel, pump through the system to clean, drain,
disassemble, allow to dry, and lastly clean any additional components.
Sanitation of the Paddle: We recommend that you sanitize and clean your paddle after every day’s use. You can do
this with 99% ISO on a clean, lint-free cloth or paper towel. We recommend detaching and thoroughly cleaning the paddle
blade as well. To complete the cleaning process, rinse your paddle with clean water and let it dry before using again.
Stopping Leaks: If you have a small leak in your Bruteless System, make sure to check your gaskets to ensure they
are installed properly. If the gasket is nicked or cut, replace the gasket before use. Check that the triclamps are tightened.
Hand tight is sufficient. Lastly, check that the hose clamp is tightened where the hose connects to the barbed fitting.
Purging System: Ensure that you purge or flush the system with water before using each time.
