LOCATION OF CONTROLS
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. POWER ON/OFF CONTROL
Press the button to turn the power “ON” or “OFF”.
Note : The unit an be turn on by pressing any keys on the panel (ex ept open/ lose button & dis eje t
button). It will help the user who annot find the power button in dark.
2. BAND SELECTOR
Ea h time this button is pressed, the radio band is hanged. The indi ation “FM1 BAND”, “FM2 BAND”, “FM3
BAND”, “MW1 BAND” or “MW2 BAND” will appear on the display a ording to your sele tion.
3. PRE-SCAN/AUTO-STORE BUTTON
This button allows you to enjoy “Preset Memory S an” fun tion by pushing it shortly, and “Auto-Store Memory”
fun tion by pushing it more than 2 se onds.
• PS (PRESET MEMORY SCAN) - It alls the memorized station frequen ies (from 1-6) automati ally every 5
se onds.
• AS (AUTO-STORE MEMORY) - It sear hes all station frequen ies upward and memorize automati ally 6
stations by at hing the frequen y whi h has s an-stop level, the memorized station is shown on LCD as
“Channel 1 to 6”. After memorizing, auto-store memory fun tion will be hanged to “Preset Memory S an”
fun tion automati ally.
4. DISC SLOT
Holding the dis and insert into the dis slot. The dis me hanism will automati ally engage into CD/MP3 play
mode.
5. LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY
The unit utilizes a digital type display whi h shows numeri al indi ation of station FREQUENCY and other
FUNCTIONS.
6. DISPLAY CONTROL / DANCING SPECTRUM MODE SELECTION
This button serves to show available information as following:
-Time
- Tra k No. / Playing Time (during CD and MP3 mode)
- Dire tory Name / File Name (during MP3 mode and the file must ontain dire tories or files name written by the
CD writer)
REMARK :
AT ANY TIME, IF THE WIRE IS DISCONNECTED, THE RESET SWITCH MUST BE PRESSED AGAIN BEFORE OPERATE THE
RADIO (REFER TO PAGE 5 FOR DETAIL). OTHERWISE, THE RADIO MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY.

SETTING CLOCK TIME MANUALLY
Briefly press “DISP” button until lo k time appear on the display.
Press and hold the button until the lo k flash and release “DISP” button.
While lo k is flashing, rotate “VOL/SEL” ontrol lo kwise to set HOUR and anti- lo kwise to set MINUTE.
SETTING DANCING SPECTRUM MODE
When “DISP” button is pressed for longer than 1 se ond, “DANC” will show on display and following dan ing
spe trum mode are available for sele tion by rotating “VOL/SEL” ontrol lo kwise or anti- lo kwise.
7. MUTE CONTROL
Press the button to mute volume ontrol and “MUTE ON” will appear on the display.
. EJECT BUTTON
Press the button to eje t the dis inside dis slot.
9. OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON / DETACHING PANEL BUTTON (FIGURE A)
* Press this button to show the dis slot in the main panel. Then, press on e to lose the dis slot.
* To deta h the front panel, press this button so that the panel slide down from verti al to horizontal position.
Use thumb hold near the preset button between 3 and 4, and use other finger to hold the orrugated release
button at the ba k of the front panel while pulling. After the panel is released, the slide down metal frame
will automati ally move ba kward until it lo ks to the original position.
* To re-atta h the panel, put the front panel to the slide down metal frame by lipping it into pla e.
10. MODE SELECTION
Press this button to sele t Radio (TUNER), CD / MP3 (S-CDP), CD Changer Control (CD-C) and Auxilliary
Input (AUX) mode.
11. STEREO/MONO CONTROL
Press this button to sele t “STEREO” or “MONO” re eption.
12. LOUD CONTROL
Press this button to a tivate the loudness ir uitry whi h ompensates for loss of high and low frequen ies
during low volume levels.
13. LOCAL/DISTANT SELECTOR
Press this button to prevent strong lo al stations from overlapping weaker stations. For normal operation, press
this button again for distan e.
14. VOLUME/SELECTION CONTROL
Rotate the button anti- lo kwise to de rease, or lo kwise to in rease volume level.
AUDIO LEVEL CONTROL (WHEN PUSHING ONE AFTER ANOTHER)
Press this button shortly one after another to show VOL/BAS/TRE/BAL/FAD ontrol.
VOLUME - Press this button on e, then rotate anti lo kwise to de rease, or lo kwise to in rease volume level.
BASS - Press this button on e, then rotate anti lo kwise to de rease, or lo kwise to in rease bass level.
TREBLE - Press this button on e, then rotate anti lo kwise to de rease, or lo kwise to in rease treble level.
BALANCE - Press this button on e, then rotate anti lo kwise or lo kwise to level balan e of speaker right and
left.
FADER - Press this button on e, then rotate anti lo kwise or lo kwise to level fader of speaker front and rear.
AUDIO / SETTING SELECT (WHEN PUSHING 2 SECONDS)
When pressing the button for more than 2 se onds, it a tivates as unit setting sele tion in y li al mode as
following. The unit setting an be hanged byrotating the button lo kwise or anti- lo kwise.
DSP OFF / POP / ROCK / CLAS / FLAT
LOUD OFF / LOUD ON
ESP 12s / ESP 45s (setting 12 se onds or 45 se onds of ele troni anti-sho k time for Audio CD)
BEEP ON / BEEP OFF (not available for this model)
SEEK 1 (tune up/down buttons performs fast tune fun tion) / SEEK 2 (tune up/down buttons performs auto tuning
fun tion when pressed more than 1 se ond)

INSTRUCTION TO PLAY MP3 SONGS
IMPORTANT NOTES
• The MP3 file re ording media a eptable to this unit are CD-R and CD-RW.
• The MP3 formats a eptable are limited.
• Do not attempt to play a media ontaining non-MP3 files or non-MP3 files with MP3 extension. O t h e rw i s e, t h e CD
Me hanism will not be working properly. If “ERROR” is shown, it is suggested to reset the radio by presssing the
reset button.
PLAY ON MP3 SONG
• Insert the media with MP3 song in the dis slot. The unit will start playing and he ks all the files and folder on
the media.
• If MP3 files and dire tories are re ognized, the media will start playing.
• The MP3 files and dire tories are a essed a ording to the order written by the CD writer.
TRACK SEARCH
• Press “AMS” button on e and “Tra k sr h” will be shown on the display.
• Press “VOL/SEL” ontrol to enter tra k sear h mode and “Tra k 001” will appear on the display for you to enter tra k
number.
• Rotate “VOL/SEL” ontrol lo kwise or anti- lo kwise to shift number 0 – 9 in loop rotation.
• Press “VOL/SEL” ontrol shortly to sele t the first digit.
• Repeat the same pro edure to enter the other digits if required.
• After the tra k number is sele ted, press “VOL/SEL” ontrol more than 2 se onds to start playing the sele ted tra k.
• If tra k number is not entered within 10 se onds, the unit will ontinue playing the urrent file.
FILES SEARCH
• Press “AMS” button twi e and “File sr h” will be shown on the display.
• Press “VOL/SEL” ontrol to enter file sear h mode.
• Rotate “VOL/SEL” ontrol lo kwise or anti- lo kwise to view the dire tories.
• After the sele ted dire tory is sele ted, rotate “VOL/SEL” ontrol either lo kwise or anti- lo kwise to view the files.
• Press “VOL/SEL” ontrol to play the sele ted file.
• If dire tories or files name is not entered within 10 se onds, the unit will ontinue playing the urrent file.
COLOR 1 / COLOR 2 (not available for this model)
VOL LAST / VOL ADJ (preset volume level when unit turn on)
15/16. MANUAL UP/DOWN TUNING / TRACK SEEK UP/DOWN CONTROL
On radio mode, press the button will tune one frequen y step higher or lower. Pressing the button more than 1
se ond an performs fast tuning fun tion or auto tuning fun tion.
On CD/MP3/CDC mode, press this button will lo ate the beginning of the tra k being played or will lo ate the
beginning of the next tra k. When pressing more than 2 se onds, it will move fast forward or fast ba kward to a
spe ifi position of a CD/MP3 tra k.
17. STATION PRESET BUTTON (1-6)
The PRESET BUTTONS on the unit are used to store station frequen ies whi h you may wish to re all. Ea h
preset button an store FM1, FM2, FM3, MW1, MW2 band station frequen y. Pressing the button momentarily
re alls the station frequen y whi h was memorized. There are 6 preset buttons, giving you apability of storing
18FM / 12MW.
NOTE: When the preset button to be memorized is kept pressed for more than 2 se onds, the re eiving station
frequen y will be stored in the button pressed. After this, the memorized station an be re alled by pressing the
button on e.
On CD / MP3 / CDC Mode
Preset 1 - press this button to pause the dis played.
Preset 2 - press this button to s an the first 10 se onds of all the tra ks on the urrently sele ted dis .
Preset 3 - press this button to repeat the urrent tra k of the dis .
Preset 4 - press this button to play dis at random order - Dis shuffle play.
Preset 5 - press this button to sear h previous dis numbers (for CDC Mode only).
- press this button to sear h -10 tra k (for MP3 Mode only).
Preset 6 - press this button to sear h the dis numbers ahead (for CDC Mode only).
- press this button to sear h +10 tra k (for MP3 Mode only).

CHARACTER SEARCH (OPTIONAL)
• Press “AMS” button 3 times and “Char sr h” will be shown on the display.
• Press “VOL/SEL” ontrol to enter into hara ter sear h mode and “A” will appear on the display for you to enter first
hara ter.
• Enter whole name of files (maximum 8 hara ters) by rotating “VOL/SEL” ontrol lo kwise or anti- lo kwise to shift
“A-Z”, “0-9” & “ ” (spa e) in loop rotation.
• Press “VOL/SEL” ontrol shortly to sele t the first hara ter.
• Repeat the same pro edure to enter the other hara ters if required.
• After the whole name of file is entered, press “VOL/SEL” ontrol more than 2 se onds to start playing the sele ted tra k.
Remark :
1) The media must ontain dire tories or files name written by the CD writer in order to use in sear hing.
2) If only partial letters are entered for sear hing either in dire tories or files name, you may not get it orre tly.
WIRE CONNECTION
CAUTION :
Do not connect the speaker wires to chassis or car body Each speaker wire cannot be soldered together with
other wires Otherwise, the unit will be damaged and no sound will come out anymore
RESET FUNCTION The RESET button is located in front of
the panel. It is recessed in order to
prevent accidental engagement, and can
be activated with the tip of a ball-point pen
or any similar pointed object. This reset
circuitry is provided in order to protect the
unit s microprocessor, and should only be
activated under the following conditions :
a) Initial installation after all wiring is
completed.
b) Abnormal operation is encountered such
as numerical indication on display is
erratic.
c) Whenever the reset button is activated,
all preset memory content will be erased
and must be reprogrammed.

UNIT REMOVAL
1. Remove Front Control Panel.
2. Slightly insert the key into the slot and
gently to release.
3. Separate the sleeve from the nit. Keep
release key in a safe place as yo may
need for f t re removal of nit.
WARNING!!
Due to protection of CD Mechanism, two small
screws on the top of the unit must be released
before operate the unit. Otherwise, the CD
Mechanism can not be working properly.
