CHAPTER I: BEFORE USE
1. Features

WARNING: Failure in following these safety instructions may cause

• Never drop or slam into this device, or it will cause serious damage or
its failure to work properly.
• Do not open or disassemble the device, because there are no parts for
maintenance inside.
• This product is not appropriate to use in humid and hot environment.
Please do not place into water or any liquid, keep it under the blazing
sun for quite a long time or put it into re because battery will
explode or may start re.
• If it lies idle for a long time, please charge and discharge it once every
two months.

CHAPTER II: FAST OPERATION
Reference: Short-press means clicking and releasing the button while
Long-press, releasing the button after pressing and holding down the
button 2 ~ 3 seconds.

If the player crashes, press the RESET key and reset the system and shut
down the device. If won’t start up, please check the battery if there’s no
power.

Suspend the current music
6. Music File Select
DECODING CUE TRACK FILE:
In the playback state, press the MENU key to enter the list of CUE les
and then the system will show all song les. You can play them by
pressing the "PLAY/PAUSE" key.
(The name of track le must be the same as the name of song le.)

In power-on state, press the

press it again to unlock
PLAY / PAUSE Press PLAY button to pause while playing,

In the playback interface, rotate the wheel and the
screen will display the listed music les or press
the BACK key to return to the main interface rst,
and then select the File Browsing to enter the
music le list. Select your desired songs by
pressing the or key and you can play them
after pressing the PLAY/PAUSE key.

Chapter III: File Management and Playback
1. File Delete
In the main menu, enter the le menu by pressing the MENU key and
nd the le to delete. Select item by pressing the key once and conrm
whether to delete it by pressing the key again. To quit delete, press the
BACK key.
(Note: Please backup the les to delete or it can’t be recovered after
deleting)
2. Song Category
In the main menu, select the menu of song category by pressing the
or key. Short-press the MENU key and you can enter the menu
with 4 types as all songs, singers, albums and styles. In the playlist,
directly press the PLAY/PAUSE key for playback.
File Browsing
In the main menu, press the or key and select the le menu.
Short-press the MENU key to enter the list of all songs. Select the music
le by rotating the code switch rst, and then play it by pressing the
PLAY/PAUSE key.
4. Equalizer
In the main menu, press the or key to select the equalizer.
Short-press the MENU key to enter the equalizer with such sound
eects as rock, pops, soft, jazz, classical and techno. Select the needed
sound eect and conrm it by pressing the MENU key.
Note: The music with sampling rate of over 48KHz is lossless audio.
This device doesn’t support the adjustment of its sound eect, but
sound eects with sampling rate of less than 48KHz.
7. Next /FF (Fast Forward), Last / FR (Fast Rewind)

In the playback interface, press the “ ”key to
switch to the last music. The long-press the
key means fast reverse.
In the playback interface, press the key to
switch to the next music. The long-press of the
key means fast forward.
In the playback or halt state, press the Volume
key to enter the volume adjust mode rst, and
then adjust it by rotating the wheel or pressing
the Prev or Next key. You can go back by
pressing the BACK key.
VOLUME
In the playback or halt state, short-press the
BACK key to back to the previous menu.

Memory mode: Memorize the volume set when the device is turned
o the previous time.
Custom mode: Memorize the customized volume
4. Line level: For audio range of line output, there are such outputs for
option as volume synchronization, -6DB and 0DB.
Volume synchronization: The sound range of line output is controlled
by volume adjustment.
-6DB: Volume adjustment doesn’t control the sound range of line
output, but the xed -6DB range of output does.
0DB: Volume adjustment doesn’t control the sound range of line
output, but the xed 0DB range of output does.
Note: Line output means LINE OUT.
CHAPTER IV: SYSTEM SETTING
In the main menu, press the or key to select the setting menu.
Short-press the MENU key, select and set one from language,
song-bank updating, backlight timer, timed shutdown, information,
auto upgrading, equipment formatting and factory setting in the
menu.
1. Language
This device can be set in one of multiple languages such as English and
others.
2. Song List Updating
The system will re-update the playlist after you select the menu of
updating the song-bank.
3. Backlight Timer
For the lighting time of the backlight timer, there are separately 10, 20
and 30 seconds for setting. If the keys are not pressed after the selected
time is set, the device will start the screensaver for power saving in the
set time.
5. My Favorite
In the main menu, press the or key to select my favorite menu.
Short-pressing the MENU key, you can respectively enter such lists as
My Favorite [1], My Favorite [2] and My Favorite [3], where all the
categories are your favorite.
1. Add to my favorite: In the main menu, press or key to select
the menu of the song category. After entering all the music lists via
pressing the MENU key, press the or key, select the songs that
need to be added to my favorite. After that, press the MENU key and
conrm such an addition.
2. Delete the marks of my favorite: In the main menu state, press the
or key to select the menu of my favorite. Then, select the
songs to delete and conrm by pressing the MENU key. After that,
select the DELETE FROM PLAYLIST system to clear the marks of my
favorite. If you select the DELETE FROM PLAYLIST system, you will clear
all the marks in a certain list of my favorite.
6. Playback Setting
In the main menu, press the or key to select the menu of my
favorite. Short-pressing the MENU key, you can select one from
random play, repeat play, startup volume and line level in the menu.
1. Random play: In the state where random play is on, the system will
not play in the backup sequence, but play through random selection.
2. Repeat play: In the repeat play menu, there are respectively Repeat
Play O, Single Repeat and All Repeat for your option. Press the MENU
key and you can select the play mode.
3. Startup volume: For start up volume there are such two modes as
memory and custom.

2. File Upload & Download
Under Windows system, this device will show the disk drive number.
3.Disconnecting A Computer
After the le transfer ends, please close
MY Computer or Explorer and
then pull out the cable as follows:
For users with operating systems such as WINDOWS 2000 and
WINDOWS 2000, please proceed in the operating steps shown below:
• Click the green arrowhead at the lower right corner of the computer.
• Click the Stop USB Disk – Driver.
• Click OK and pull out the USB cable, after the dialog box Safely
Remove Hardware appears.
Reference: The image tips for dierent operating systems are slightly
dierent. The above photo is for reference only.
4. Battery & Charging
This device has the built-in lithium battery. It can be charged via
connecting this device with USB cable. The battery icon during
charging will move circularly. After the battery is fully charged , the
corresponding icon ( ) will appear. Battery can be fully charged for
about 2.5 hours.
Note: You can charge using an adapter or by using a 5V and 1A
maximum output charger.
4. Shutdown Timer
Shutdown Timer means the forced shutdown in the playback state.
Press the or key to select or set the shutdown time. The
shutdown time is selectable among 1-99 minutes. Selection can be
determined by pressing the MENU key.
5. Information
Information: There is such information for inquiry as software version
of player and disk space.
6. Auto Upgrading
This device supports local upgrading. When a new rmware is released
ocially, it can be copied to the disk system for auto upgrading.
7. Equipment Formatting
Equipment Formatting: Pressing the MENU key to enter the interface
rst, and then press the or key to select whether to format the
equipment. After that, you can conrm it and quit by pressing the
MENU key (Note: All the data can’t be recovered after formatting).
8. Factory Setting
Factory Setting: Restore the device to factory setting
CHAPTER V: CONNECTING A COMPUTER
1. Connecting A Computer
To download and upload les, please
connect the USB socket to a PC and this
device with supporting USB cable, after
which this device will start up automatically.
For the rst connection, the computer will
prompt you to create the driver information
base and nd new hardware and then it will
automatically detect this device. At this time,
the screen will show image that means
successful connection.

6. Troubleshooting
• Files from the player can’t be deleted through the management
software? Or “Delete Fail or Delete Error” prompted during le delete
from the player?
Please check through My Computer whether the les in the player
are read-only. Modify the read-only attribute to the archive
attribute rst, then delete them.
• As a mobile hard disk, is it necessary to install drive in WINDOWS
XP/VISTA/WINDOWS 7?
No need. It doesn’t support WINDOWS98 operating system.

5. Fault Diagnosis
• No display appears in the player after the Start key is pressed.
Fault Cause and Correction: when the lithium battery is out of
power, please charge it without delay.
If the player crashes, press the "RESET" key to reset the system to
restart the device; if you still cannot start the player, please conrm
whether the battery is dead
• The player can’t play sound during le playback.
Fault Cause and Correction: Check if f the volume is too low and
adjust it; if no music les are found in the player, please download
them.
• Music les can’t be downloaded after connection.
Fault Cause and Correction: Your mainboard may not be supported
by the USB interface. You must upgrade your mainboard driver
program.
• The computer abnormality sometimes arise out of inserting or pulling
out the cable of the player?
Fault Cause and Correction: It mainly results from inserting or
pulling out the USB during le transfer. Users are recommended not
to disconnect the transfer process.
• Total memory capacity in the player is dierent from the actual
capacity
Cause: it mainly comes from the storage program of the needed
memory space and the shown font library. Therefore, the total
memory capacity is smaller than the actual one.
• Some MP3 songs can’t be played in the player?
Fault Cause and Correction: MP3 refers to the music le compressed
according to MPEG I Layer3 standard. When you encounter MP3 song
format incompatible with your player, you can solve it in one of the
two methods as follows:
1. Cancel the incompatible songs from the player to ensure the normal
operation of the player
2. Use software for auto compression. Please select the coding scheme
of MPEG I Layer 3.
