1. Locate latch plate at the desired handle height and
3/4” from edge of door (as shown). Confirm that the
plate is oriented correctly with the pivot hole up.
2. Mark all hole locations.
3. Drill a 1” hole at the shaft location. Drill 5/16” holes at
the 4-bolt hole loations and the pivot hole location.
1. Place latch plate on outside of door and align holes.
2. Install bushing, latch bar, flat washer and 1/4” x 3” hex
bolt.
3. Install shaft weldment as shown.

1. Install the cover plate and the four 1/4” x 3” carriage
bolts as shown.

1. On the inside of the door, install the flat washer and
five nylon lock nuts. Tighten all five lock nuts.
2. Install handle on shaft and secure with set screw.
3. Install handle on outside of door and secure with set

1. With door closed, use a straight edge to line up
the bottom of the latch with the latch hook and
position it 3/4” from the edge of the opening.
Mark the two holes.
2. Drill two 1/8” x 3/4” pilot holes at these loca-
tions.

1. Install the two #14 x 1-1/2” wood screws as
shown.
2. Test latch operation and make adjustments
accordingly.

To install optional lock plate:
Insert tab on bottom of lock plate into slot in latch
hook. Rotate upward to line up padlock holes.
Loop padlock (not included in kit) through both
padlock holes and secure.
