3. Light On the QubeStove
3.1 Use the QubeStove Fire Pit Only without Oven:
3.1.1 place the QubeStove Fire Pit on a flat and
solid surface, Keep safe distances away from
the other flammable vapors, liquids or solid
combustibles.
3.1.2 Open the wood pellets hopper lid at the
back of the Qubestove by using the
hook&pick tool, feed a scoop of wood
pellets into the feeding tube. Wood pellets
will fall onto the burn pot/fire grate through
the feeding tube.
3.1.3 Light on a piece of fire starter and put it into
the burning tube.
3.1.4 Waiting for about 5 minutes, the fire starter
will ignite the wood pellets on the burn
pot/fire grate. When the wood pellets start
burning, the flame will burn rushing out of
the tube.
3.1.5 Then use the hook&pick tool holding the
small hole in the hopper lid, open the lid and
fill up the hopper to full. The hopper can
contain about 3lb (1.4kg) wood pellets,
and will keep the fire pit burning about 1
hour. DON’T TOUCH THE SURFACE OF
THE STOVE OR OVEN, AS IT’S EXTREMLY
HOT WHEN OPERATING. ALWAYS USE
THE HOOK&PICK TOOL.

10
3.1.6 When smoke comes out from the small hole
in the hopper lid, that means wood pellets

3.2.2 Light on a piece of fire starter, then throw it
into the hopper. The fire starter will fall into
the burn pot/fire grate through the feeding
tube, and will ignite the wood pellets on the
burn pot/fire grate. When the flame is
roaring, fill up the hopper to full.

11
TIPS:
Maintain Oven Temperature:
Check the pellets hopper by using the hook&pick
tool, add wood pellets when it’s on low level.
When smoke comes out from the small hole in
the hopper lid, that means wood pellets almost
burn out. Fill the hopper again to keep it burning.
Keep the oven lid on if you want to get high
temperature; removing it will drop the oven
temp. quickly.
3.2.3 Close the hopper lid, put on the oven lid.
That will make an air draft from the air inlet
at the bottom of QubeStove to the oven
chimney. After about 10 minutes, the flame
will rush out on the top.

attached on the oven and get the suitable
temperature for the food you cook.

4. Cooling and Disposing of Ash
Wood Pellets burn very efficiently. You can only get very little ash even after hours of
burning. But pay more attention of cooling and disposing of the ash for your safety.
4.1 When you have finished heating or cooking, allow the oven/stove to burn through all
remaining wood pellets. Once your oven/stove has completely cooled down, follow
the steps below to dispose of any residual ash.
4.2 Please note the wood pellets may still be hot even it looks dark or gray. Always use
the Hook & Pick Tool supplied to handle the ash tray. Wear heatproof gloves if
needed. Allow your oven/stove to cool for at least one hour before disposing of ash
or storing. The hook&pick tool can be used as a lever: hold the hole in the ash tray
panel, pull it out and move it with care.
4.3 After a burn and once the oven/stove is completely cooled, clean out any remaining
ashes from on top of the fire grate and in the ash pan. Do not dump an ash pan with hot
embers or pellets into a garbage can or any other combustible area. It will start a fire.
Dump the ash into a metal bucket with water.
5. Storage
5.1 When you are finished using the oven/stove you should make sure that the fire is
completely out. Allow at least 60 minutes for the oven/stove to cool down.
5.2 All unused wood pellets need to be moved out from the hoppers, feeding tunnels and
combustion chamber. Pellets collect moisture when exposed to the air making them less
flammable and will swell and stick to metal surfaces. Store the oven/stove upright in a
sheltered area away from weather such as rain, snow and dust.
5.3 This unit is manufactured as an “Outdoor Unit’’ from steel. If you leave it in the weather
it will accumulate rust, even it’s made of stainless steel, the high temperature will make
its surface decolor or rusty a little bit. This is normal and can be treated by using stainless
steel cleaner on the outer shell.
5.4 A Weather Proof Cover & Traveling Tote in One is supplied as accessory (can be
purchased separately). It can protect your oven/stove from exposing to the weather and
easy to store.

13

following maintenance procedures on a regular basis.

ashes from on top of the fire grate and in the ash pan. Do not dump an ash pan with hot
embers or pellets into a garbage can or any other combustible area. It will start a fire.
Dump the ash into a metal bucket with water.
6.3 Keep exterior surfaces clean. Use warm soapy water for cleaning.
6.4 There’s no need for elbow grease as a run through at top temperature will do most of
the work for you. If you like, just wipe down inside with dry paper towel and use stainless
steel cleaner on the outer shell.
6.5 Never use flammable or corrosive cleaning agents on or near this oven/stove.

Tips:
Wood Pellets: - Safer and More Sustainable
Wood Pellets are made from compressed recycled sawdust, and is considered as
renewable, carbon neutral, eco-friendly biomass fuel, an alternative to fossil fuels
that save our precious forests and reduces air pollution.
Mainly there are 2 kinds of wood pellets: soft wood pellets and hard wood
pellets.
⚫Soft wood pellets are produced with sawdust of pine or douglas fir, which
can produce more heat output; so it’s good to be used as fuel for
heating
;
⚫Hard wood pellets are made from sawdust of wood of Apple, Alder, Cherry,
Hickory, Maple, Mesquite, Oak, Pecan, etc. Hard wood pellets contain less heat
output than soft wood pellets, but have different flavors. So it’s more suitable
for
cooking
. Choose different hard wood pellets for different foods and get
more pleasure with fantastic tastes!
⚫For best results, store your pellets in a warm, dry environment in an air-tight
container or water proof bag.
