1.1 Handling Precautions
Please read this manual carefully before operating the document camera and keep it for
reference.
PRECAUTIONS
NOTICES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USE

Use the document camera under the rated electric conditions.

Do not place the document camera on any unstable surface. It may fall, causing
injury or damage.

Do not place this device in direct sunlight or near heaters.
·
Do not place this device near water.
·
Keep the camera away from acids or alkalis.
·
Do not place this document camera in humid, dusty, windy, or vibrant locations.

2.1 Installing the Document Camera Software
The
Qwizdom Video Capture Program
allows you to record in .AVI format and with
annotations directly over the video feed, but not full-screen. A site license of the
Qwizdom
Video Capture Program
is included with your document camera.
Installing Qwizdom Video Capture Program from CD
1.
Insert the
Qwizdom Video Capture Program
disc
into the CD-ROM drive. Click
Document Camera Install
.

Qwizdom Video Capture Setup Wizard
will appear. Click Next.

Click Next in the Select Additional Tasks window.

2.2 Installing Qwizdom WizTeach
The
Qwizdom
WizTeach
software allows you access to a complete set of tools that can be
used with any application and your document camera purchase includes a single user
license. It allows you to record in flash video formats, complete with full-screen
annotations.

Installing Qwizdom WizTeach from CD

Insert the
Qwizdom WizTeach
disc

activates VGA output terminal, providing the image from camera
turns on/off the LED light
freezes/unfreeze the image
switches the output image between text mode and picture mode
splits screen, enables the comparison between the frozen image and live image

Light
The document camera is an environmentally friendly, RoHS compliant product, which
means it meets the European Union's rigorous requirements for restriction of the use of
certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The light on the
document camera adopts eco-friendly, low power consumption and long lasting LED
lamps, which stay cool to the touch and are mercury-free.
Zoom In and Zoom Out
With 9x optical zoom combined with 8x digital zoom, the document camera enables you
to view the finest details of any objects that are impossible to see with the naked eye. The
document camera's advanced optical system features high speed autofocus capability that
ensures instant autofocus when you quickly zoom in and out of any object. You can also
manually adjust the zoom by pressing

Focus Adjustment
When the document camera is turned on, the focus automatically adjusts to the image. It is
not necessary to readjust the focus if you are only working with flat materials (text, photos,
etc.). 3-D objects may require a focus adjustment. Press the
AUTO
button to autofocus or
press the
FOCUS+
or
FOCUS-
button to focus manually.
Brightness Adjustment
Use the
BRIGHT +
or
BRIGHT -
button to adjust the brightness. To increase the brightness,
press the
BRIGHT +
button. To decrease it, press the
BRIGHT -
button.
White Balance Adjustment
Each time the lighting condition changes, the user should adjust the white balance of the
CMOS. Press the
AUTO
button to adjust the white balance automatically.
Text/Picture Mode
The text enhancement feature provides the option to improve the readability of the text by
improving the contrast of the text image by pressing the T/P button.
Image Freeze
The freeze function allows you to discreetly prepare the next image without interrupting
the current presentation. Use
FREEZE
to freeze and unfreeze the image.
Image Mirror
The mirror function gives you a different perspective of an object.
Split Screen
The split screen offers the capability of comparing two images or comparing two different
views of one object side-by-side.
Image Save
The document camera offers the option of storing 12 images on board. You can recall
them by just pressing one of the numerical buttons on the front panel or remote control.
Image Recall
Pressing the Recall button will display all the saved images in thumbnail index mode for
easy selection.

Multiple Inputs and Outputs
The VGA and USB connections allow a computer to be connected and the computer signal
to be input. The document camera also has C-Video and S-Video connectors, which can
output the document camera image. The output can be determined by the color of the
power light as follows:
Yellow= S-Video (projector should be set to S-Video input)
Red = Direct image from document camera
Blue
= VGA image from PC
White = Standby mode
USB 2.0 Port
The USB port can be used to store still images from the document camera on a computer,
or to record live video from the document camera. No additional computer hardware is
required. The document camera can, in effect, be used as a 3-D scanner for your computer.
Connect the document camera to your computer with the supplied USB cable. The
document camera software is available on the supplied CD-ROM.
USB Image Capture and Video Recording
The document camera is equipped with a USB 2.0 image capture and video recording
system. Simply connect the document camera to a computer, with the software provided,
and you can easily preview, capture, and save images and video on your PC.
RS232 Control
The RS232 terminal allows you to integrate the document camera into any central control
system, like in a lecture hall. RS232 also enables you to control the document camera via
computer.

: switches the output image between text mode and picture mode

: image chroma control (red)

SXGA/XGA
: switches the output signal between XGA and SXGA

: activates VGA output terminal, providing the image from camera

: controls image sharpness

: carries out autofocus, color adjustment, and white balance
