8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
To ensure proper efficiency, the egg sterilizer interior
must be kept clean. Always unplug the appliance from
the wall outlet before cleaning the appliance.
Both the internal and external surfaces should be cle-
aned with soapy water and a soft, damp cloth. After
washing the appliance, wipe the lamp with a clean, dry
cloth and then set the sterilizer aside for about 1 hour
to dry.
Do not clean the sterilizer with a water jet or using
pressure washers.
• The drawer is dishwasher safe.
• Wipe the housing with a damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive powders for cleaning smooth
surfaces.
• When cleaning the sterilizer interior use only cle-
aning agents intended for this type of application.
9. UV LAMP REPLACEMENT
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet be-
fore lamp replacement.
• Remove the drawer from the sterilizer.
• Holding carefully the glass lamp envelope (use
cotton gloves), rotate it about 90° around the axis
and remove it from the socket.
• Insert the new lamp pins into the socket slots and
rotate the lamp about 90º around the axis.
Due to the deteriorating bactericidal performance,
the lamps must be replaced after every 7,500 hours
of lamp operation.
10. REPAIR
If the power switch [4] does not light up upon turning on,
there is no power supply. This may be caused by a blown
fuse.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains and then re-
move the base head [6] and replace the fuse with a new
one.
The sterilizer lamps are connected in a series. This me-
ans that failure of one lamp results in both lamps failing.
To check whether the failure is caused by a lamp failure,
proceed as follows: Remove the non-operating lamps
from the sockets. Replace them with a pair of operating
lamps. If the lamps do not light up upon switching on the
sterilizer, contact the service center.
Any repairs can only be performed by Hendi Polska or
an authorized service center. For repair options or deta-
iled inquiries, please contact our Sales Department or
our service centers.
11. WARRANTY
Any defect affecting the functionality of the appliance
which becomes apparent within one year after purchase
will be repaired by free repair or replacement provided
the appliance has been used and maintained in accor-
dance with the instructions and has not been abused or
misused in any way. Your statutory rights are not affec-
ted. If the appliance is claimed under warranty, state
where and when it was purchased and include proof of
purchase (e.g. receipt). In line with our policy of conti-
nuous product development we reserve the right to
change the product, packaging and documentation spe-
cifications without notice.
