Power Your Mixer
Install the Battery
Insert one 9V battery (not
supplied)inthebattery
compartmentmatchingthe
polaritysymbols(+and–)
marked inside.
bBattery Note:
• Replace the battery when the Battery Low indicator
lights.
• Disposeofbatteriespromptlyandproperly.Donot
burn or bury them.
• Useonlyfreshbatteriesoftherequiredsizeandtype.
• Ifyoudonotplantousethemixerforalongtime,
remove the battery. Batteries can leak chemicals that
can damage electronic parts.

Use AC Power (Optional)
Connecta9VACadapter(notsupplied)totheDC 9V
jackaccordingtothemarkedpolarity.Connecttheother
endtothepowersource.
nNote:
• AlwaysconnecttheACadaptertothemixerbefore
youconnectittoACpower.Whenyoufinish,
disconnecttheadapterfromACpowerbeforeyou
disconnect it from
the mixer.
• Usinganadapterthatdoesnotmeetthe
specifications could damage the mixer or adapter.
Setup
Preset the Mixer
Important!
Topreventaccidentalaudiomixingorchanneloverdrive,
set MONO/STEREO to MONO,setPOWER ON/OFF to
OFF,andslideChannels 1–4 to 0beforeyouconnectto
yourpowersupply.
Asuddenhighoutputfromthemixercoulddamage
audiodevicesconnectedtothemixerandcoulddamage
yourhearing,especiallyifyouuseheadphones.
Preset Audio Devices
Turnoffalldevicesbeforeyouconnectthemtothemixer.
Toavoidsuddensoundoutputsfromconnectedaudio
devices,adjustthevolumeoftheconnectedaudio
devicetotheirlowestlevels.

Connect the Mixer
Useshieldedaudiocables(notsupplied)forallinput
connections.Signalsfromconnectedinputsourcesare
routedtothecorrespondingchannelsonthemixer.
Two stereo inputs
Connectthelineleveloutputsfromonedevicetothe
mixer’sAUX 1 INPUT R and Ljacks.Connecttheline
leveloutputsfromtheseconddevicetothemixer’sAUX
2 INPUT R and Ljacks.
Four stereo sources as monaural inputs
UseshieldedY-adapters(notsupplied)ateachsource’s
leftandrightoutputs,andconnectaseparatestereo
sourcetoeachinputjack(AUX 1 R,AUX 1 L,AUX 2 R,
or AUX 2 L)onthemixer.
Four monaural inputs
Connecteachmonauraldevicetoeachinputjack(AUX 1
R,AUX 1 L,AUX 2 R,orAUX 2 L)onthemixer.
Two monaural sources as stereo inputs
UseshieldedY-adapters(notsupplied)ateachsource’s
monauraloutputs,andconnectonesourcetoAUX 1 R
and L.ConnecttheothersourcetoAUX 2 R and L.
Four microphones
Connectuptofourmicrophonestothemixer’sMIC
jacks (1–4).Eachmicrophonesignalisroutedtothe
correspondingchannelonthemixer.
Ifyouconnectamicrophonetoacorrespondingaudio
source,andtheyareoutputtothesamechannel,the
signalsfrombothdevicesaremixedandcontrolledby
themixer.

Output
Toplaythemixer’soutputthroughyourspeakersystem,
useanaudiophonocable(notsupplied)toconnect
themixer’s OUTPUT L and R jacks to your receiver or
amplier’slineinputjacks.
Recording
Torecordthemixer’soutput,useanaudiophonocable
(notsupplied)toconnectthemixer’sOUTPUT L and R
jackstoyourrecordingdevice’slineinputjacks.
Use Your Mixer
1. SetthePOWERswitchtoON. To avoid popping
sounds,alwaysturnonthemixerbeforeyouturnon
youramplier.
2. Turnontheoutputamplierandsetitsvolumetothe
lowestlevel.
3. Settheaudioinputsource’svolumetothelowest
level.Turnonthesource,andpressPlay(or
continuouslytalkintothemicrophone).
4. Adjustthemixer’scorrespondingCHANNEL 1,2,3,
or 4tolevel6–10.Whenmixingmorethanoneaudio
input,adjusteachinput’svolumetoaboutthesame
listeninglevel.
5. Adjusttheinputsource’svolumeandtheoutput
amplier’svolumeasdesired.
6. Whenyouarenishedmixing,turnoffthemixer,the
outputamplier,andallaudioinputsources.

Mixing Mono or Stereo
Tomixmonosignalswithstereosignals,setSTEREO/
MONO to STEREO.
WhenSTEREO/MONO is set to MONO:
• Themixerroutesmonauralinputsignalsofdevices
connected(separately)tothemixer’sAUX 1 L,AUX 1
R,AUX 2 L,AUX 2 Rjackstobothoutputs.
• Themixerchangesstereoinputsignalsofdevices
connectedtothemixer’sAUX 1 L/R and AUX 2 L/R
jackstomonauralsignals.
Formonoampliers(foundinsomePAsystems),set
MODE STEREO/MONO to MONO forbestresults.
Voiceovers
Talkintoamicrophonetomixpre-recordedmusicor
soundfromanaudioinputsourcewithyourvoice.
1. Beforetalking,adjustCHANNEL (corresponding to
theconnectedaudiosource)tothedesiredvolume.
2. Asthemusicplays,talkorsingintothemicrophone.
Adjustthemicrophoneandaudiolevelssoyoucan
hearyourselfoverthepre-recordedsound.
3. Ifyoupauseandstoptalkingorsinging,adjust
CHANNELtoitsoriginalposition(step1).
