Power Your Mixer
Install the Battery
Insert one 9V battery (not
supplied)inthebattery
compartmentmatchingthe
polaritysymbols(+and–)
marked inside.
bBattery Note:
• Replace the battery when the Battery Low indicator
lights.
• Disposeofbatteriespromptlyandproperly.Donot
burn or bury them.
• Useonlyfreshbatteriesoftherequiredsizeandtype.
• Ifyoudonotplantousethemixerforalongtime,
remove the battery. Batteries can leak chemicals that
can damage electronic parts.

Use AC Power (Optional)
Connecta9VACadapter(notsupplied)totheDC 9V
jackaccordingtothemarkedpolarity.Connecttheother
endtothepowersource.
nNote:
• AlwaysconnecttheACadaptertothemixerbefore
youconnectittoACpower.Whenyoufinish,
disconnecttheadapterfromACpowerbeforeyou
disconnect it from
the mixer.
• Usinganadapterthatdoesnotmeetthe
specifications could damage the mixer or adapter.
Setup
Preset the Mixer
Important!
Topreventaccidentalaudiomixingorchanneloverdrive,
set MONO/STEREO to MONO,setPOWER ON/OFF to
OFF,andslideChannels 1–4 to 0beforeyouconnectto
yourpowersupply.
Asuddenhighoutputfromthemixercoulddamage
audiodevicesconnectedtothemixerandcoulddamage
yourhearing,especiallyifyouuseheadphones.
Preset Audio Devices
Turnoffalldevicesbeforeyouconnectthemtothemixer.
Toavoidsuddensoundoutputsfromconnectedaudio
devices,adjustthevolumeoftheconnectedaudio
devicetotheirlowestlevels.

Connect the Mixer
Useshieldedaudiocables(notsupplied)forallinput
connections.Signalsfromconnectedinputsourcesare
routedtothecorrespondingchannelsonthemixer.

Connectthelineleveloutputsfromonedevicetothe
mixer’sAUX 1 INPUT R and Ljacks.Connecttheline
leveloutputsfromtheseconddevicetothemixer’sAUX
2 INPUT R and Ljacks.
Four stereo sources as monaural inputs
UseshieldedY-adapters(notsupplied)ateachsource’s
leftandrightoutputs,andconnectaseparatestereo
sourcetoeachinputjack(AUX 1 R,AUX 1 L,AUX 2 R,
or AUX 2 L)onthemixer.
Four monaural inputs
Connecteachmonauraldevicetoeachinputjack(AUX 1
R,AUX 1 L,AUX 2 R,orAUX 2 L)onthemixer.
Two monaural sources as stereo inputs
UseshieldedY-adapters(notsupplied)ateachsource’s
monauraloutputs,andconnectonesourcetoAUX 1 R
and L.ConnecttheothersourcetoAUX 2 R and L.

Connectuptofourmicrophonestothemixer’sMIC
jacks (1–4).Eachmicrophonesignalisroutedtothe
correspondingchannelonthemixer.
Ifyouconnectamicrophonetoacorrespondingaudio
source,andtheyareoutputtothesamechannel,the
signalsfrombothdevicesaremixedandcontrolledby
themixer.

Output
Toplaythemixer’soutputthroughyourspeakersystem,
useanaudiophonocable(notsupplied)toconnect
themixer’s OUTPUT L and R jacks to your receiver or
amplier’slineinputjacks.
Recording
Torecordthemixer’soutput,useanaudiophonocable
(notsupplied)toconnectthemixer’sOUTPUT L and R
jackstoyourrecordingdevice’slineinputjacks.
Use Your Mixer
1. SetthePOWERswitchtoON. To avoid popping
sounds,alwaysturnonthemixerbeforeyouturnon
youramplier.
2. Turnontheoutputamplierandsetitsvolumetothe
lowestlevel.
3. Settheaudioinputsource’svolumetothelowest
level.Turnonthesource,andpressPlay(or
continuouslytalkintothemicrophone).
4. Adjustthemixer’scorrespondingCHANNEL 1,2,3,
or 4tolevel6–10.Whenmixingmorethanoneaudio
input,adjusteachinput’svolumetoaboutthesame
listeninglevel.
5. Adjusttheinputsource’svolumeandtheoutput
amplier’svolumeasdesired.
6. Whenyouarenishedmixing,turnoffthemixer,the
outputamplier,andallaudioinputsources.

Mixing Mono or Stereo
Tomixmonosignalswithstereosignals,setSTEREO/
MONO to STEREO.
WhenSTEREO/MONO is set to MONO:
• Themixerroutesmonauralinputsignalsofdevices
connected(separately)tothemixer’sAUX 1 L,AUX 1
R,AUX 2 L,AUX 2 Rjackstobothoutputs.
• Themixerchangesstereoinputsignalsofdevices
connectedtothemixer’sAUX 1 L/R and AUX 2 L/R
jackstomonauralsignals.
Formonoampliers(foundinsomePAsystems),set
MODE STEREO/MONO to MONO forbestresults.
Voiceovers
Talkintoamicrophonetomixpre-recordedmusicor
soundfromanaudioinputsourcewithyourvoice.
1. Beforetalking,adjustCHANNEL (corresponding to
theconnectedaudiosource)tothedesiredvolume.
2. Asthemusicplays,talkorsingintothemicrophone.
Adjustthemicrophoneandaudiolevelssoyoucan
hearyourselfoverthepre-recordedsound.
3. Ifyoupauseandstoptalkingorsinging,adjust
CHANNELtoitsoriginalposition(step1).
