Removing the Battery Insulation Strip
To prevent battery drainage during shipping, your
recorder is shipped with aninsulation strip that you
must remove before use.
1. Press and rotate the battery compartment
cover counterclockwise to remove it.
2. Remove the insulation strip.
3. Replace the cover and rotate itclockwise to
secure it.
Recording a Message
Youcan record a message up to 10 seconds long.
The message remains saved even if the recorder
loses battery power.
1. Turn the recorder over and hold the
microphoneabouttwoinches(5cm)away from
your mouth.
2. Hold down REC. The indicator lights and
recording begins.
3. Speak into the microphone and releaseREC
after you finish. The indicator flashes every
three seconds to indicate a new message is
recorded.
Note: If you do not release REC, the recording
stops automatically after 10 seconds.
Playing a Message
Press the top cover of the recorder to play the
message. The REC indicator turns off.
Using the Magnet
The magnet on the bottom of the recorder holds it
against any metal surface, such as a refrigerator,
oven or file cabinet. Simply place the recorder on a
metal surface to mount it.
Your voice recorder comes with
four 357A button-cell batteries
installed. When the recording
sound weakens, replace the
batteries with the positive side up.
Notes:
• Use only fresh batteries of the
required size and recommended
type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly
and properly. Do not burn or bury
them.
• If you do not plan to use the recorder for a month or more, remove the
batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals thatmay destroy electronic parts.

• Keep the recorder dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry
immediately.
• Use and store the recorder only in room
temperature environments.
• Handle the recorder carefully; do not drop it.
• Keep the recorder away from dust and dirt.
• Wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it
looking new.

or similar design; or (c) refund the purchase price. All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund
