Safety Warnings
GB
• Read all the instructions carefully before using the unit and keep them for future
reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a third party make sure to include
this manual.
• Check that the voltage marked on the rating label matches your mains voltage.
Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the unit if you are in any doubt about it working
normally, or if it is damaged in any way - switch o, withdraw the mains adapter
and consult your dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable surface and not subjected to vibrations.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable surfaces as the unit may fall o or
tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily accessible.
• This unit is designed for indoor use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either hot or cold. Place the unit well away
from heat sources such as radiators or gas / electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked ame on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or product damage, do not expose this unit
to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No objects lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause serious damage. Switch it o at the
mains immediately. Withdraw the mains plug and consult your dealer.
Ventilation
• To prevent the risk of electric shock or re hazard due to overheating, ensure that
curtains and other materials do not obstruct the ventilation vents.
• A minimum distance of 5cm around the unit should be maintained to allow for
sucient ventilation.
• Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another
conned space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.
Safety
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains supply before connecting /
disconnecting other devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket during a lightning storm.
• In the interests of safety and to avoid unnecessary energy consumption, never
leave the unit switched on while unattended for long periods of time, e.g.
overnight, while on holiday or while out of the house. Switch it o and disconnect
the mains plug from the mains socket.
Mains Cable
• Make sure the unit or unit stand is not resting on top of the mains cable, as the
weight of the unit may damage the mains cable and create a safety hazard.
• If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent, or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Interference
• Do not place the unit on or near appliances which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely aect the working of the unit, and cause
a distorted sound.
Earphones
• Listening to loud sounds for prolonged periods of time may permanently damage
your hearing.
• Before putting on earphones, turn the volume down then put the earphones on
and slowly increase the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.
Batteries
• Batteries used in the unit are easily swallowed by young children and this is
dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young children and make sure that the battery
holder tray is secure in the unit. Seek medical advice if you believe
a cell has been swallowed.
• Please dispose of batteries correctly by following the guidance in this manual.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or sources of excessive heat.
Supervision
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.
• Never let anyone especially children push anything into the holes, slots or any
other openings in the case - this could result in a fatal electric shock.

The lightning ash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle,
is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated“dangerous
voltage”within the unit’s enclosure that may be of sucient magnitude to
constitute a risk of electric shock.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert
the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance
(servicing) instructions in the manual accompanying the unit.
Service
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove screws. The unit does not
contain any user-serviceable parts. Please leave all maintenance work to qualied
personnel.
• Do not open any xed covers as this may expose dangerous voltages.
Maintenance
• Ensure to unplug the unit from the power supply before cleaning.
• Do not use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as these may
damage the unit’s surface.
• Do not use liquids to clean the unit.

Batterier

2. Insert two AAA size batteries. Make sure the (+) and
( – ) ends of the batteries match the (+) and ( – ) ends
indicated in the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
Installing Batteries in the Remote Control
1. Press and slide the back cover to open the battery
compartment of the remote control.
Handling the Batteries
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could
cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• When the batteries are exhausted, the remote will not function. Replace both batteries at
the same time with new ones.
• Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix dierent types of batteries.
• Do not dispose of used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance with
local regulations.
Handling the Remote Control
• Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control.
• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time, as it
could cause corrosion or battery leakage and may result in physical injury and/or property
damage including re.
Remote Control Operation Range
• The remote control sensor on the front unit is sensitive
to the remote control’s commands up to a maximum of
5 metres away and within a maximum of a 60° arc.
• Please note that the operating distance may vary
depending on the brightness of the room.

Using Earphones
Turn down the volume before
connecting the earphones. Slowly raise
the volume with the earphones on
until you reach your desired volume.

2. When your radio is connected to power, the unit will be in Standby mode.
3. Always unclip and extend the aerial when listening to
DAB or FM radio. The aerial has a swivel base so can be
set to dierent angles for best reception.

Extend the aerial before switching to DAB mode
for the rst time. This will ensure that the initial scan
captures all stations in your area.
Turning the Radio On for the First Time
1. Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the mains plug to a mains socket.
Make sure the mains plug is fully inserted into the mains socket.
4. Press on the unit or on the remote control to switch
the unit between the ON and STANDBY modes.
5. The unit will automatically enter into DAB mode and
perform the auto scan function. During the scan the
display will show“Scanning …”together with a slide
bar that indicates the progress of the scan and the
amount of stations that have been found so far.
Once the scan has nished, the unit will broadcast the
rst alphanumerically found station. To explore the
found stations, turn SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit
or press on the remote control. When you nd a
station that you would like to listen to, press SCROLL &
SELECT on the unit or OK on the remote control.
6. Turn SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit or press on
the remote control to select YES to start setup or NO to
skip setup. Press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or OK
on the remote control to conrm.

Remove the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit o completely.
If the unit is idle for 15 minutes in Auxiliary Input mode, it will automatically switch to power
saving mode. Press the button to resume.
Basic Operation
Switching ON/OFF
Press on the unit or on the remote control to switch the unit between the ON and
STANDBY modes.
Selecting Modes
Press MODE on the unit or on the remote control to switch between DAB radio, FM radio,
Auxiliary Input and Bluetooth.
Adjusting the Volume
Turn VOLUME + / –dial on the unit or press VOL + / –on the remote control to increase/
decrease the volume.
If you want to mute the sound, turn VOLUME – dial on the unit or press MUTE on the
remote control. Turn VOLUME + / –dial on the unit or VOL + / –on the remote control to
resume audio listening.
Automatically Setting the Clock
The clock can be set and updated automatically if you can receive DAB / FM signals in your
location. In order for the clock to synchronise to the current local time you must leave it on
one DAB / FM station for a short period of time.
Alarm
Ensure the time and date is set before you can activate the alarm function, please refer the
section “Setting the Time and Date”for details.
Setting the Daily Timer
1. Ensure the unit is turned ON (not in STANDBY mode), press ALARM repeatedly on the
unit to select Alarm 1 Setup or Alarm 2 Setup, 1and 2will ash on the display. Press
SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or press OK on the remote control to conrm.
2. Turn the SCROLL & SELECT dial to select Alarm On, then press SCROLL & SELECT on
the unit or press OK on the remote control to conrm. Otherwise select Alarm O to
disable the alarm.
3. Turn the SCROLL & SELECT dial to adjust the alarm time, then press SCROLL & SELECT
on the unit or press OK on the remote control to conrm.
4. Turn the SCROLL & SELECT dial to select alarm duration (15/30/45/60/90 minutes),
then press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or press OK on the remote control to conrm.

5. Turn the SCROLL & SELECT dial to select DAB, FM or Buzz mode, then press
SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or press OK on the remote control to conrm.
If the wake-up mode is DAB and the DAB signal strength is low, the buzz alarm will be
triggered.
6. Turn the SCROLL & SELECT dial to select alarm active day (Daily / Once / Weekends
/ Weekdays), then press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or press OK on the remote
control to conrm.
7. Turn the SCROLL & SELECT dial to select alarm volume, then press SCROLL & SELECT
on the unit or press OK on the remote control to conrm. 1and 2will illuminate on
the display.
Cancel Alarm
The alarm will automatically repeat at the selected time as long as the alarm icon is
displayed.
To cancel this function, press ALARM on the unit repeatedly in STANDBY mode, then press
SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or press OK on the remote control to conrm. 1and 2will
disappear from the display.
Alternatively, please refer to the section“Setting the Daily Timer”for details to select Alarm
OFF.
Turn O Alarm
When the alarm sounds, press ALARM or on the unit or on the remote control to
switch o the alarm.
Snooze Function
• When the alarm sounds, press SNOOZE on the unit or on the remote control to
temporarily switch o the alarm. The alarm switch o time will vary according to the
selected alarm duration. Press SNOOZE on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly
to select the alarm switch o time.

Alternatively press SLEEP on the unit or on the remote control to select this function.
General Settings
1. Ensure the unit is turned ON (not in STANDBY mode), press MENU on the unit or on
the remote control to display the menu.
2. Turn SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit or press on the remote control repeatedly
to scroll through the options and then press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or OK on
the remote control to conrm.
3. Press MENU/EXIT on the unit or MENU on the remote control to return to the previous
menu.
Sleep
This function allows you to programme the unit to switch to standby mode by itself after a
set sleep time.
1. When the“Set Sleep Time”shows on the display, turn SCROLL & SELECT dial or press
SLEEP repeatedly on the unit or press SLEEP or on the remote control to select your
desired sleep time cycle through Sleep O / 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 90 minutes.
2. Press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or OK on the remote control to conrm. “ ” will
show on the display.
3. When the sleep timer counts down to zero, the unit will switch to standby mode. To
turn the sleep function o while the sleep timer is still counting down, press on the
unit or on the remote control to standby mode.“ ”will disappear from the display.
Equaliser
In Equaliser screen, turn SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit or press on the remote
control to select the option below, then press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or OK on the
remote control to conrm.
Treble Controls the relative intensity of higher pitched sounds between -5 and +5
level.
Bass Controls the relative intensity of lower pitched sounds between -5 and +5
level.
Setting the Time and Date

Factory Reset
In the Factory reset screen, turn SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit or press on the
remote control to select YES or NO then press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or press OK
on the remote control to conrm.
After factory reset, all tuned stations, preset stations and alarm settings will be erased and
return to standby mode.
Software Version
In the SW version screen, the software version will show on the display.

2. Once the scan has nished, the unit will display a list of the found stations. Explore the
found stations by turning SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit or press on the remote
control. And then press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or OK on the remote control to
conrm selected station. All stations that have been found will be automatically stored.
In DAB mode, press MENU on the unit or the remote control to display the DAB menu. Turn
SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit or press on the remote control to scroll through the
options then press SCROLL & SELECT on the unit or press OK on the remote control to
conrm.
Station list Select from a list of DAB stations.
Full scan Perform auto scan.
Manual tune This can help you when aligning your aerial or when adding
stations that were missed while auto tuning.
DRC (Dynamic
Range
Compression)
If you are listening to music with high dynamic range in a noisy
environment, you may wish to compress the audio dynamic
range.
Select DRC high, low or off.
Prune Select YES or NO to remove all invalid stations.
Secondary Services
You may see a“ ”symbol after the name of the station, this indicates that there are
secondary services available to that station. These secondary services contain extra
services that are related to the primary station. e.g. a sports station may want to add extra
commentaries. The secondary services are inserted directly after the primary station in the
station list.
To select the secondary station, turn SCROLL & SELECT dial on the unit or press on
the remote control until you nd the secondary service you want, then press SCROLL &
SELECT on the unit or press OK on the remote control to select it.
When the secondary service ends, the unit will automatically switch back to the primary
station.
DAB Operation
1. Press MODE on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to select DAB radio.
The unit will automatically perform auto scan function while the unit is connected to the
mains power and switched on from standby for the rst time. If it’s not function, press SCROLL
& SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to start auto scan in Station list or Full
scan menu. Please refer the section “Turning the Radio On for the First Time”for details.
