Thank you for purchasing a RALE Industries ST120 snow bike
conversion kit!
RALE Industries delivers a patented snowbike conversion kit
oering unrivaled performance. By utilizing a single-shock design,
the RALE snowbike provides typical dirt bike handling and agility
through dirt bike rear suspension geometry, tune-ability and pivot
points. The RALE ST120 translates the dirt bike riding experience
directly to the snow.
Please retain this User's Manual for usability and safety information.

Read and follow all warning Labels on the RALE Track Kit and in this
User’s Manual
Snow Safety: Riding in snow and cold temperatures is fun and
thrilling if riders take the time to become educated, know what to
expect beforehand as well as exercise safety precautions while
riding. This list is not comprehensive it is the sole responsibility of
the operator to be educated.
• Learn about avalanche awareness. Check for safety courses in
your area
• Wear an avalanche beacon, avalanche bag, carry a shovel,
and probes
• Frequently practice avalanche safety, and make sure everyone
in your riding group is educated about snow safety
• Check weather and snow conditions, and dress appropriately
• Know your route; tell someone your plan and when to call for
help if contact is not made
• Utilize on-line resources for cold weather safety information and
training; https://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/snow/ ; weather.gov/ ;
avalanche.org
Gear / Tool Packing: It is recommended to pack the following gear.
These lists are not comprehensive, and the rider may need to
pack more or less depending on current and changing conditions,
routes, duration, distance, proximity to help, and any other potential
dangers.

Riding:
• Reference the host bike OEM user's/owner's manual to fully
understand the safe operation and control functions of the
host bike
• Whenever possible, ride in groups
• Traction can be lost at high speeds. In deep, soft powder the
track can spin and get stuck
• Be cautious of potential obstacles hidden under the snow
• In remote areas or unfamiliar terrain, always carry a
comprehensive survival kit
• Ride the RALE Track Kit as you would ride a normal dirt bike,
stay forward, ride light on the seat, and don't hesitate to stand
up for better control
Riding disclaimer: A vehicle equipped with the RALE Track Kit is
similar to riding a dirt bike, but with obvious handling dierences.
Familiarity with the kit, its operation and an understanding of how
snow conditions, obstacles, and terrain aect ride-ability is crucial
to mitigate risk.
DANGER
To avoid serious injury or death: prevent objects, clothing, or
extremities from becoming entangled or jammed in and around
moving parts. IMMEDIATELY STOP THE ENGINE AND ENGAGE
THE BRAKE IF THIS CAN OR DOES OCCUR.

• The RALE Track Kit has moving parts and pinch points
• Use extreme caution while operating the RALE Track Kit to
avoid contacting any moving or power transmitting parts, such
as drive chains, sprockets, drive cogs, disc brakes, and track
• If any object can be, or does become entangled or jammed
into the kit, stop and remove it to avoid serious injury or
product failure
• Lack of awareness when riding or with situations can result in
falling, rolling, or flipping over, and may result in serious injury
or death.
• Installation of the RALE Track Kit changes the center of gravity,
increases the overall weight of the vehicle
• The RALE Track Kit will make an OEM speedometer/odometer
inoperative
• Carrying a passenger or towing is EXTREMELY dangerous
(See warning label on RALE Track Kit)
• Always respect laws and regulations when riding
DANGER
Users assume all risk while operating a vehicle equipped with
a RALE Track Kit equipped vehicle, including, but not limited
to, stunts, jumps, wheelies, competitive hill climbing, race
competition, or performance expositions of any kind.

Before riding, perform all of the following tasks as outlined on
page 15:
• Visual and physical check
• Bolt Re-torque
• Brake check
• Upper Link check
• Primary Chain and Secondary Chain tension
• Track tension
• Front ski nut and bolt check
• Air intake check
Initial Setup:
1. Setup the shock as you would for a two wheel dirt bike.
2. The upper link comes adjusted to the correct length to set the
forks at 62°. NOTE: the seat height may be higher than the dirt
bike setup.
3. Set the static sag to rider preference using the spring pre-load
adjustments as you would on a two wheel dirt bike.
4. Test ride the bike on dierent types of terrain before making
additional adjustments.

Host Bike: Follow all maintenance tasks and schedules in the OEM
user’s/owner’s manual.
RALE Track Kit: Read and follow all maintenance requirements as
outlined in the following section.
CAUTION
Failure to perform scheduled maintenance tasks can result in
excessive wear and damage to the RALE Track Kit that are not
covered under warranty.
DANGER
To prevent serious injury or death, never allow any part of a
person's body, or clothing, or any tools or devices into the RALE
Track Kit without first turning o the host bike power.

Break-in:
The RALE Track Kit will have a break-in period where everything will
settle in. After one hour of riding check the following, and perform
tasks as listed in the maintenance schedule on page 14 and as
described on page 15.
Re-torque all bolts (shown below) repeat on opposite side of RALE
Track Kit. See the parts diagrams for torque specs.
Re-torque (4) nuts on the brake hub (shown below). See the parts
diagram for torque spec. NOTE: Because the hub is threaded, it is
not necessary to hold onto the bolt-head when re-torquing.

Maintenance Chart
Clean - wash with a mild soap and rinse.
Check - tension, for cracks, abnormal or excessive wear;
replace broken, damaged or worn parts.
Adjust - Make adjustments as may be nesseccary.
Lubricate.
Replacement parts can be ordered from your RALE dealer. Please
have your serial number available, and use the part numbers for
reference.
Keep a record of parts changed and dates of maintenance
performed.

Visual and Physical Inspection – After cleaning the RALE Track Kit,
inspect for the following; cracks, loose, damaged or missing parts,
and abnormal or excessive wear.
Bolt Torque – Re-torque all bolts as specified on page 13. Refer
to the part diagrams for torque specifications.
Primary Chain – Verify that the chain guide is aligned and does not
have excessive wear. Check the chain tension, wear and master
link; clean and lubricate as needed. Refer to the installation manual
to properly set or check the chain tension.
Secondary Chain – Check the chain slider for excessive wear;
adjust to the tighter hole if necessary. Check the chain wear and
master link; clean and lubricate as needed.
Sprockets – Check for abnormal or excessive wear due to
improper alignment or improper chain tension.
Track Tension – Refer to the installation manual to properly set or
check the track tension / alignment.
Track – Check for damage, wear on the lugs. Examine the metal
clips for excessive wear or missing clips.
Hyfax – Check for abnormal or excessive wear; the sides should
not be less than 17 mm tall.
Bogie Wheels – Check for side to side movement; indicating
bearing wear. Check the running surface for wear.
Rail Pivot Axle – Lubricate using Lucas®Marine Grease.
RALE recommends WPS PN 58-5297
Ski Skag – Check for broken or excessive wear of the carbide
edge.
Ski Saddle Bushing – Check for cracks or wear; the bushing
should provide support for the ski tower, preventing the ski from
being loose or floppy.
Brake System – Check the hydraulic fluid level, check the pads for
excessive wear, and check the brake rotor for warping.
Side Link Rod Ends – Use Motorex®Silicone Spray on the (4) rod
ends on the Side Links. RALE recommends WPS PN 580-0414
Upper Link Rod Ends – Use Motorex®Silicone Spray, RALE
recommends WPS PN 580-0414, the rod end located at the top
of the upper link. Lubricate the lower joint using Lucas®Marine
Grease. RALE recommends WPS PN 58-5297
