good condition. If the box or the contents (the product and

show signs of mishandling, notify the carrier immediately,

Safety Notes
Read all the following Safety Notes before working with this product. These
notes include important information about the installation, usage, and
maintenance of this product. This product contains no user-serviceable
parts. Any reference to servicing in this User Manual will only apply to
properly trained Rasha certied technicians. Do not open the housing or
attempt any repairs. All applicable local codes and regulations apply to
proper installation of this product.
Personal
Safety
Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while the product is on. Always
disconnect this product from its power source before servicing. Always
connect this product to a grounded circuit to avoid the risk of electrocution.
Do not touch this product’s housing during operation because it may be
very hot.
Rigging
This product is for indoor use only! To prevent risk of re or shock, do
not expose this product to rain or moisture. (IP20) CAUTION: When
transferring product from extreme temperature environments, (e.g. cold
truck to warm humid ballroom) condensation may form on the internal
electronics of the product. To avoid causing a failure, allow product
to fully acclimate to the surrounding environment before connecting it
to power. Mount this product in a location with adequate ventilation,
at least 20 in (50 cm) from adjacent surfaces. Make sure there are
n o a m m a b l e m a t e r i a l s c l o s e t o t h i s p r o d u c t w h i l e i t i s o p e r a t i n g .
Always carry this product by the handles. Do not carry from the head.
When hanging this product, always secure to a fastening device using a
safety cable.
Power And
Wiring
Always make sure you are connecting this product to the proper voltage
in accordance with the specications in this manual or on the product’s
specication label. Never connect this product to a dimmer pack or
rheostat. Never disconnect this product by pulling or tugging on the power
cable.
Operation
Do not operate this product if you see damage to the housing, lenses,
or cables. Have the damaged parts replaced by an authorized technician
at once. To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during
periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via
breaker or by unplugging it. Do not cover the ventilation slots when
operating to avoid internal overheating. Do not aim this product toward
the Sun. The lenses could concentrate the solar energy and cause internal
overheating. The maximum ambient temperature is 113 °F (45 °C). Do
not operate this product at a higher temperature. In case of a serious
operating problem, stop using this product immediately!

Description
The Kryos™ features the revolutionary Philips® Platinum 7R discharge
lamp technology (8500°K, 2,000 hr). The Kryos™ produces a perfectly
parallel, laser-like beam, mid-air effects with an incredible output. It also
offers a at, even spot eld and even more saturation of colours. Kryos™
has adopted the compact form, impressive speed, superior light quality
and beautiful colors.it is much lighter in weight and more compact than
other moving heads in its class. It’s very tight; 3-degree beam with extreme
output makes it ideal for applications where a small beam is necessary.
Kryos™ available in a shiny mirror-nish chrome version, adding glamour
to sets while making lights a less invasive presence.

SETUP
Power Supply
Each Kryos™ has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an
input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. To determine the power
requirements for each Kryos™ refer to the label afxed to the product.
You can also refer to the Technical Specications chart in this manual.
The listed current rating indicates the maximum current draw during
normal operation. For more information, you may download Sizing Circuit
Breakers from the Rasha website: www.rashaprofessional.com
Always connect this product to a protected circuit with an appropriate
electrical ground to avoid the risk of electrocution or re. To eliminate
unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-
use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by
unplugging it.
Never connect this product to a rheostat (variable resistor) or dimmer
circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel serves only as a 0 to 100%
switch.
AC Plug
The Kryos™ comes with a power input cord terminated with a Neutrik®
powerCON®A connector on one end and an Edison plug on the other end
(U.S. market). If the power input cord that came with your product has no
plug, or if you need to change the Edison plug, use the table below to wire
the new plug.
Fuse
Replacement
1. Disconnect this product from the power outlet.
2. Using a at-head screwdriver, lift the fuse holder cap from the housing.
3. Remove the blown fuse and replace with a another fuse of the same
type and rating (T 5 A).
4. press the fuse holder cap back in place and reconnect power.
Make sure to disconnect the product’s power cord before replacing a
blown fuse. Always replace the blown fuse with another of the same type
and rating
Power Linking
You can link 22 Fixtures @ 110V and 33 xtures @ 220V.
DMX
Personalities
• The Kryos™ uses a 3- or 5-pin DMX data connection for the 7 or 12
channel DMX personalities.
• Refer to the Introduction chapter for a brief description of each DMX
personality.
• Refer to the Operation chapter to learn how to congure the Kryos™ to
work in these personalities.
• The DMX Values section provides you with detailed information regarding
the DMX personalities

Orientation Always mount this product in a safe position and make sure there is
adequate room for ventilation, conguration, and maintenance
Rigging
Rasha recommends using the following general guidelines when mounting
this product.
• When selecting an installation location, consider easy access to
this product for operation, programming adjustments, and routine
maintenance.
• Make sure to mount this product away from any ammable material as
indicated in the Safety Notes.
• Never mount in places where rain, high humidity, extreme temperature
changes, or restricted ventilation may affect the product.
• If hanging this product, make sure that the mounting location can
support the product’s weight. See the Technical Specications for the
weight-bearing requirements of this product.
• When hanging this product, always secure to a fastening device using
a safety cable.
Procedures
The Kryos™ comes with a preinstalled mounting surface to which you will
be able to attach most of our clamps found at www.rashaprofessional.com/
en/accesories. Make sure the clamps are capable of supporting the weight
of this product. Use at least 1 mounting point per product. In addition, use
a safety cable to link the product to the structure.

Chapter 1 Installation and attention
1. MAINTENANCE
To reduce the risk of electrical shock or re, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture.
Intermittently using will extend this item’s service life.
Please clear the fan, fan net and optical lens in order to keep good work state.
Do not use the alcohol or any other organic solvent to wipe the shell.
2. STATEMENT
The product has perfect performance and integrity packing. All users should be strictly
complying with the warning and operating instructions as stated. Or we aren’t in charge
of any result by misusing. Any damage resulting by misuse is not within the Company’s
warranty. Any fault or problem caused by neglecting the manual is also not in the
charge of dealers.
Note: All information is subject to change without prior notice.
3. SAFETY PRECAUTION
• In order to guarantee the product’s life, please don’t put it in the damp places or
even the environment over 60º.
• Always mount this unit in safe and stable matter.
• Install or dismantle should operate by professional engineer.
• Using lamp, the change rate of power voltage should be within±10%, If the
voltage is too high, it will shorten the light’s life; If it’s not enough, will inuence
the effect.
• Please restart it 20 minutes later after turning off light , until full-cooling. Frequent
switching will reduce the life span of lamps and bulbs; intermittent using will
improve the life of bulbs and lamps. In order to make sure the product is
used well, please read the Manual carefully.

5. CABLE CONNECTION (DMX)
Use a cable conforming to specications EIA RS-485: 2-pole twisted, shielded, 120Ohm
characteristic impedance, 22-24 AWG, low capacity. Do not use microphone cable or
other cable with characteristics differing from those specied. The end connections
must be made using XLR type 3 or 5-pin male/female connectors. A terminating plug
must be inserted into the last projector with a resistance of 120Ohm (minimum 1/4 W)
between terminals 2 and 3.
IMPORTANT: The wires must not make contact with each other or with the metal
casing of the connectors. The casing itself must be connected to the shield braid
and to pin 1 of the connectors.

6. RIGGING (OPTIONAL)
This equipment can be positioned and xed by clamps in various direction of the stage.
Locking system makes it easy to fasten to the bracket.
Attention! Two clamps is needed to x the equipment. Every clamp is locked by
fastener of 1/4 kind. Fastener can only be locked clockwise.
Attention! Fasten a safety cable to the additional hole of side aluminum piece.
The secondary accessory cannot hang on the delivery handle.
Check if rigging clamp (not including the one inside) damaged or not? If stand ten times
weight as the equipment. Make sure the architecture can stand ten times weight as all
the equipments, clamps, wirings and other additional xtures.
• Screws for clamping must be xed rmly. Take one M12 screw (Grade 8.8 or
higher) to clamp bracket, and then screw the nuts.
• Level the two hanging points at the bottom of clamp. Insert fastener to the bottom,
lock the two levers by 1/4 rotating clockwise; then install another clamp.
• Install on safety string which stands at least ten times weight as equipment.
Terminal of the accessory is designed for clamps.
• Make sure pan/tilt lock unlocked or not. Keep the distance more than 1M from
equipment to ammable material or lighting source.

CHAPTER 2 PANEL OPERATION
The light panel diagram is shown below
The Left area is TFT Display, this display supports touch as well as the encoder button
to the right.the tough operation is just like ANY Touch Screen on the market, touching
the item will set or modify your setting.
Note: Prevent damage the touch or TFT displayer, Can not use sharp objects
chick displayer.

2. OPERATION
1. Operate light with touch or encoder button
The left area is TFT Displayer and touch, Pess to select or set item and its value with
your nger to complete the operation of seting the light parameters.
The area on the right hand side is rotary encoder with button, As an auxiliary input
interface, if the touch function is disable, the encoder can been used to set or view
the item, and then press the encoder button to conrm the selection, rotary encoder
again set the parameter value, nally, Press encoder button one again to save value or
setting.
2. Parameter value setting
When the selected item is value need to been modied, the dialog shown in Figure will
popup.

Modify values: You can quickly modify a value via the Quick Adjust slider (1) at the top
of the menu, or click the button of ‘up’ or ‘down’ whit nger on the right side to set the
exact desired value, another way is roll encoder on the right hand side of panel.
Apply value: When Value had been modied, Then press the bottom of ‘apply’ in the
left corner to apply to the light, but haven’t saved
Save Value: Any time, click on the lower right corner of the “OK” button, the setting will
been saved into internal memory.
3. Parameter setting
When the selected parameters is a Boolean value (such as ON or OFF), can directly
modify setting by chick corresponding item, the setting will been saved right now.
When the parameter is a key item, chick corresponding item, a dialog shown in Figure
will been popup ask for the conrm. Chick ‘sure’ to conrm.

4. Sub Menu (Parameter)
Select or press the item of main menu, enter corresponding sub menu, shown in the
image below, total 6 sub menu, includes class of parameter and status:

• ADDRESS: Set light DMX address.
• WORKMOD: Set light work mode, master or slave mode when in auto run mode.

• TEST: Used for test light, modify DMX channel data to test function, the
corrsponding function of reference channel function table.
• ADVANCE: Set light running parameter.
• STATUS: view light current status.
3. Operation and parameter instruction
To enter the sub menu (parameter menu) shown in below
In main menu, select 1 of the 6 function button into corresponding parameter menu.
In the sub menu screen, select main item on the left side of display.
1. Set DMX Address
Click and select the “Address” , you can enter the page of DMX address setting, select
the range from 1 to 512, the address code should not be greater than 512 (channels
quantity), otherwise the light will not been controlled.
Enter the DMX address, as shown in below, click the blank area in right side of display
will pop-up dig log as in Figure below, modify value, then Press ‘ENTER’ to conrm and
save DMX address code.

2. Set Light work mode
Enter “WORK MODE” as shown in the gure on the following Page, and modify your
settings.
DMX Mode: The light receive data from the DMX controller.
AUTO RUN: The light will run with Preset code (data),
Note* this will ignore data from the DMX controller.

SOUND Ctrl: The light responds to loud sound, the light will run a scene, otherwise it
will keep the last scene.
M/S Choose: “M/S Choose” is available when light in “AUTO RUN” or “SOUND Ctrl”
mode. If this item is set as ‘“OFF”, the light will not send data to the other lights via
DMX Cable. When ‘ON’, the data will send to other lights slave light immediately.
Lamp control: Turn on lamp when this item is set to “ON”, otherwise this will turn off
lamp. The gap between operation is limited to 30 second.
Channel mode: Light support 2 DMX Channel mode: sample or extend.
Work mode
3. SET DISPLAY
Light support 2 language, rotation display,
Language: Select display as English.
Screen Saver: when panel is idle(these is no operation in 10 second), displayer will
enter saver status. When set as ‘mode 1’saver status is close display, as ‘mode 2’
saver status will display DMX address code(DMX MODE) or display LOGO(AUTO RUN
or SOUND CTRL). As ‘OFF’, keep light up displayer and show main menu
Screen Rotation: rotate displayer.
Touch enable: Disable or enable touch function, when disable, use encoder to operate
light and set parameter.
Touch Rectify: Adjust touch function (Do not enter this item unless instructed by
RASAH Professional)

4. TEST LIGHT
This will put the Fixture into test mode.
The light does not receive the data for DMX controller if placed in test mode
PAN: range for 0 to 255;
TILT: range for 0 to 255;
FOCUS: range for 0 to 255;
COLOR: range for 0 to 255;
GOBO: range for 0 to 255;
PRISM: range for 0 to 255;
FROST: range for 0 to 255;
STROBE: range for 0 to 255;

5. SET LIGHT RUN PARAMETER (ADVANCE)
To set the parameter of Fixture:
Pan Invert: Reverse PAN move.
Tilt Invert: Reverse TILT mover.
P/T rEC: when this is set as “OFF” PAN or TILT will disable Rectify function.
