SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MASSAGE SYSTEM
General recommendations:
We ask the client to follow the recommendations and suggestions given in these instructions so damage
to the massage system can be prevented and the full use of the system can be enjoyed. These products are
specically made for normal household use. At the same time, we warn that the Ravak Co. does not carry
responsibility for damages and defects caused
USE OF THE MASSAGE SYSTEM
The hydromassage system is composed of a pump driven by an electric motor, water jets, safety drainage
system, pneumatic or electronic controls and distribution pipes. In the system the water is drained from the
tub into the distribution pipes and consequently blown into the jets where it is combined with air and under
pressure ows into the tub. You can manually or electronically regulate the amount of air depending on the
type of hydromassage system you have chosen for your individual use. The pump is equipped with a safety
feature against overheating. In danger of overheating, the pump turns off. It starts working again automatically
in approximately 30 minutes.
Before use:
- Fill the tub with (rst cold and then warm) water, to a minimum of at least 5cm over the upper edge of the highest
water jet;
- with a touch of the button, start the water pump, adjust the direction of the jets and the intensity of the
hydromassage including the amount of air, and if need be, the length of time of the hydromassage.
The airmassage system is composed of a blower which forces air under pressure into the jets located at the
bottom of the tub and blows air into the water. The effect is known as an effervescent bath. With different types of
systems it is possible to regulate the amount of pressure of the forced air. The blower is equipped with a safety
feature against overheating. In danger of overheating, the blower turns off. It starts working again automatically
in approximately 30 minutes.
Before use:
- Run a sufcient amount of water into the tub (rst cold and then warm);
- Turn on the blower and if the system allows, choose the intensity of the airmassage and length of time it will
be used.
- The combined hydro and airmassage systems can be used simultaneously or separately.
PRINCIPLES OF SAFE USE
Please always follow the principles of safe use for the hydromassage and airmassage systems. Damage and
problems occur with the improper use of the hydromassage tub and is not under the control of the guarantee.
1. The temperature of the water bath should not exceed 40°C. This is the maximum limit in respect to the
healthy effects of a bath. A lower water temperature and a shorter bathing time (ten minutes) are recommended,
especially when bathing children. Never leave a small child in the massage tub without supervision. Your rst bath
in the massage tub should not exceed 10 minutes.
2. A high water temperature during the course of a bath can considerably inuence the course of pregnancy,
especially during the rst three months of pregnancy. We therefore recommend that the water temperature not
exceed 38°C, and that the length and intensity of the massage be consulted with a physician.
3. Persons suffering from obesity , who have had a heart attack, have blood pressure disorders or who are diabetic
should consult a physician about any possible risks before using the hydro/airmassage tub. Likewise, persons
taking medicines for blood pressure problems and persons who have heart problems should consult a physician
before using the system.
4. It is very dangerous to consume alcoholic beverages, narcotic drugs or drugs with impairing effects which can
cause unexpected complications and can lead to drowning.
5. You should not ll the tub to the rim. The maximum height of the water level should be to the overow opening.
The minimal water height should be at least 5 cm over the upper edge of the highest placed water jet (picture 1).
Under no circumstances should you turn on the water pump if the water has not reached the minimal level!

- 8 -
6. In the bath, do not use any cosmetics except for those that were produced specially for use in massage bathtubs
and recommended by the manufacturer.
7. For bathers with long hair we recommend the use of a bathing cap because of the possibility of hair entering
or blocking some parts of the hydromassage system. It is also important to remove small objects (beads, earrings,
etc.), which may block or damage some parts of the system. The suction system is equipped with a safety feature.
If some strange object should cover the front of the suction straining, the system starts to intake water at the sides
and thus prevents full blocking of the system. However, always make sure you avoid any possible suction strainer
blockages to protect the water pump as well as other parts f the system from getting damaged.
8. It is possible to change the action of the hydromassage on chosen parts of the body by changing the direction
of ow of the corresponding jets (picture 4). The intensity of the ow can be regulated by opening or turning down
the hydromassage jets (picture 5 only on certain models of jets). It is possible to inuence the whole massaging
effect by regulating the amount of air intake into the hydromassage jets with the help of a dial regulator. (pictures 2
and 3). First, set the regulating dial to the minimum and then it can be raised to the maximum output.
9. If you want a refreshing massage use a cooler water bath, and if you want to relax or relieve pain and tension,
use a warm water bath.
10. At the end of your bath, turn off the hydromassage or airmassage system rst. If the system has a timer for
the length of the hydromassage cycle, it will automatically turn off. Before draining the tub, choose a suitable cycle
for cleaning and disinfecting the massage system. (page 9). Now, as with a normal tub, you can open the drain
and let out the water.
11. No individual may be in the bathtub when you carry out disinfection. HEALTH DAMAGE RISK!!!
12. WARNING: to the dangers of electrical shock! Do not install or place any electrical appliance (such as a lamp,
telephone, hairdryer, radio, television, etc.) within 1,5 meters of the massage system!
13. DANGER: to lower the risk of injury and accidents do not remove the safety cover installed on the system.
14. If the bathtub is disconnected from the power supply for a long period of time, we recommend observing the
tips in the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
15. WARNING: Do not look directly into the underwater light xture when it is turned on.

General description of systems YOU PLUS Hydro/Air and YOU DUO Hydro/Air
Two systems are designed for YOU bathtub. The system YOU PLUS Hydro/Air is, based on the location
of nozzles, a combined classic system. There are hydro massage nozzles installed on the bathtub walls and there
are air massage nozzles installed on the bathtub bottom. The second system YOU DUO Hydro/Air has the hydro
massage nozzles installed both in the bathtub walls and the bottom; the nozzles on the bottom are alongside the
air nozzles. This nozzle allocation enables a hydro massage of lower body parts also. Other bottom nozzles have
the air function. The hydro and air massage systems can operate independently or simultaneously.
Among other items for increasing the bath comfort, both systems are by default assembled with sub-level LED
lighting in color of your choice, heating of the owing water, and heating of the air massage run air.
The sub-level LED lighting is powered by a safe low voltage power supply. The system safety is ensured by other
elements too. Mainly, the sufcient water level is controlled (Figure 1). The installed water level switch enables
switching on some of the system functions, or switches the lighting and the system off. The water level switch with
the electromagnetic valve ensures lling of the bathtub by water and switches the water supply off at the preset
water level.
The heating element with the thermoregulator prevents overheating. It maintains the temperature of the water lled
in the bathtub during the hydro massage. It is set so that the water
temperature does not exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
The control unit is programmed to switch of the system functions
after 20 minutes of operation. The switched-off system functions
may be switched back on by pressing the respective function
buttons.
OPERATION AND USING YOU PLUS Hydro/Air
and YOU DUO Hydro/Air SYSTEMS
Set the water temperature prior to lling of the bathtub and open
the tap on the respective faucet. The button No. 1 on the combined
control unit on the inner bathtub wall activates lling the water to
the bathtub by means of the WARM FLOW element. The respective
button LED lights up the button No. 5 LED starts to ash. Pressing
the button opens up the electromagnetic valve, which pumps the water to the WARM FLOW element, integrated
bellow the headrest.
When the water reaches the preset level (approximately 5 cm above the top nozzle), the button No. 1 LED goes
out and the water supply is automatically closed. At the same time, the control unit enables switching on individual
massage system functions, or the sub-level lighting. The water may be relled, if needed, by pressing the button
No. 1, provided the hydro massage is turned off. Further pressing of the button No. 1 closes the water supply.
When relling the water, take into account the fact that the water sensor no more regulates the water level and the
water supply must be closed manually.
The hydro massage system is controlled by button No. 4 on the combined controller. Pressing the button once
starts the massage (pump) and the LED lights up. Pressing the button twice starts the massage pulse, when the
pump goes on/off. Pressing the button for the third time turns off the hydro massage system (pump operation) and
the LED goes out.
The button No. 5 with ashing LED on the combined control unit controls the air massage system. Pressing the
button once turns on the air massage (blower). The LED goes on at the same time. Pressing the button twice turns
on the blower operation oscillation, when the blower repeatedly increases and decreases its output. Pressing the
button for the third time turns off the air massage system and the LED light starts to ash again. Buttons No. 6 and
7 on the control unit (+ and -) regulate the air massage intensity (the blower speed).
Flashing LED on the button No. 5 alerts on the powered massage system!

- 10 -
Long pressing of the button No. 2 on the combined control unit (until the LED permanently lights up) initiates air
massage system drying out. This activates delayed start of the system drying-out. The delayed start may be
cancelled after activation by short pressing of the respective button. Twenty minutes after the button has been
pressed the air blower turns on for about 3 minutes, which blows air to the nozzles installed on the bathtub
bottom and thus forcing out the water from the mains. Long pressing of the button is a protection element against
accidental pressing of the button. This function may be activated only provided the bathtub is empty.
The sublevel air massage system lighting is activated by long pressing of the button No. 3 on the combined
control unit (until the LED permanently lights up). Pressing the button twice activates lighting pulsation. The light
regularly goes on and out in preset time intervals in this regime. Pressing the button for the third time turns off the
light. The button LED goes out.
The chromotherapy feature is controlled by the button No. 3. Pressing the button switches on smooth blending
of the light spectrum and a red LED diode will come on. Pressing this button one more time switches on the white
light. Pressing the button for the third time switches off the chromotherapy and the LED diode will switch off as well.
Pressing and holding the button No. 3 when the light xture is on switches on step colour blending. By releasing
the button the step colour blending stops at the present colour.
LED lights by the button symbols (diodes) signal the operation of the respective elements and functions.
If the water level is not sufcient, the system cannot be turn on due to the water-level sensor. If the water falls
below the level required or after 20 minutes of operation, the system automatically switches itself off.
The YOU DUO Hydro/Air and YOU PLUS Hydro/Air systems are equipped with a water-level sensor (capacity
sensor), so the system cannot be switched off if the water is bellow the level. This sensor is also connected
to the water lling function and the delayed-start system drying-out function. The water-level sensor may
be activated also if the massage system is not used, e.g. when bathing children, when cleaning and washing the
bathtub, or when the sensor is covered by a towel or a bathrobe. The sensor is activated by the above-mentioned
manners provided the bathtub (system) is powered. Accidental situation of non-standard sensor activation may
be anticipated by disconnecting the system from the power supply by the two-phase switch, when the massage
system is not used. The respective switch must be used in accordance to the document “Construction readiness
for YOU acrylate bathtub with massage system YOU PLUS, YOU DUO” in each electrical installation connection
for the massage bathtub.
If the bathtub is disconnected from the power supply for a long period of time, we recommend observing the tips
in the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE section.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
If you want your bathtub to serve you reliably for a long time, please obey the following instructions and recom-mendations:
- Clean your bathtub after every use. We recommend you to use the proven Ravak Cleaner.
- Fill the tub always with cold water rst, then with hot.
- Protect the tub from any contact with solvents, varnish and thinners, as well as with nail polish or nail polish remover since they would
damage its surface too. Just as dangerous are hot things such as lit cigarettes or a hot curling iron.
Do not use any concentrated detergents or abrasive preparations to clean the bathtub. We recommend the Ravak Disinfectant and Ravak
Cleaner products that have been developed especially for gentle yet effective cleaning and disinfecting of bathtubs and hydro-massage
systems.
THE HYDRO-MASSAGE SYSTEM:
We recommend to ll the bathtub with warm water once in 3 weeks, or to use the water after the bath, to rell the bathtub to the level
required, to add disinfectant (recommended by the manufacturer), and to switch the system on for approximately 10 - 15 minutes. Then,
empty the bathtub and ll it again with clean water, so the system is washed out. The wash out is to be performed for about 10 - 15 minutes.
The bathtub needs to be surface dried out.
AIR MASSAGE SYSTEM
We recommend to ll the bathtub with warm water once in 3 weeks, or to use the water after the bath, to rell the bathtub to the level
required, to add disinfectant (recommended by the manufacturer), and to switch the system on for approximately 0.5 minutes so the
disinfectant mixes with the water. Then leave the disinfectant to function for 10 - 15 minutes. Empty the bathtub and ll it with clean water,
and turn on and off the air massage system for couple of times.
Empty the bathtub and activate air massage system drying out according to the respective paragraph o of this manual. Finally, dry the
bathtub by soft cloth.
Combine both procedures for the Hydro/Air system.
We recommend the drying out to be activated after each bath.
The above-mentioned procedure prevents mineral, organic parts and soap remains sedimentation in the system.
RAVAK DESINFECTANT dosing:
Add 40 - 120 ml of the disinfectant (40 ml for each 100 l of water).
If there is mechanical dirt on the bathtub surface (e.g. after installing the bathtub or after painting the bathroom), proceed as follows:
- Remove the dirt mechanically, by a wooden spatula for example; never use metal spatulas, wire wool, knifes, etc;
- Oil, fat and grease stains are to be removed by industrial alcohol. Do not use strong solvents, such as acetone, paint solvents, toluene
or benzene, ammonia or chloride substances;
- Power cleaning emulsions are to be used only on bathtub metal parts; however, we recommend using a paste or polishing emulsion. The
parts must be washed out by water and dried by a soft cloth immediately after application of such cleaning preparations.
- Finally, always wash the bathtub by clean water and dry by a soft cloth.
It is strictly forbidden to disassembly or to modify technological equipment installed bellow the bathtub and to modify in any respect the
electrical parts or to manipulate with the system electrical elements. Remember this regulation during bathtub maintenance and adhere
to it.

- 12 -
WARNING!
It is strictly forbidden to take apart or replace any of the technical equipment installed under the bathtub,
or to manipulate any of the electrical components and elements
