Applicaleproducts
ThisdocumentisapplicabletotheRV-200,RV-212(P/S),andRV-220(P/S)RealVision™3Dbronze
thru-hulltransducers.
Thesetransducersarecapableofproducing3DsonarimageswhenconnectedtoRealVision™3D
variantMFDsrunningLightHouse™3software.FivetransducersareavailableintheRV-2xxseries,
eachhavingthesameexternalshapeanddimensions.
Thetransducersdifferinternally,andcontaindifferentnumbersandtypesoftransmitandreceive
elements.Y ourinstallationshouldcompriseeitherasingleRV-200transducer,orasplit-pairof
RV-212(P/S)orRV-220(P/S)transducers.
Thehullgeometryofyourvesseldeterminesthemostappropriatetransducerstouse.Y oushould
fittransducerswhoseinternalelementsarematchedtowithin±6°ofyourhull’sdeadriseangle,as
showninthefollowingtable:

Testingthetransducer
Transduceroperationshouldbecheckedbeforeinstallation.
1.onnectthetransducertothemultifunctiondisplay’stransducerconnection.
2.Fullysubmergethetransducerinwater.
3.Powerupthedisplay.
4.OpenaFishfinderapplicationonyourdisplay.
5.Ifrequired,selecttherelevanttransducer/channelfromthehannelselectionpage(Menu>
Channel).
6.heckthataccuratedepthandtemperaturereadingsaredisplayed.
7.IfyouexperiencedifficultiesobtainingreadingsthencontactRaymarineTechnicalSupport.
Warning:Transduceroperation
Onlytestandoperatethetransducerinthewater.DoNOToperateoutofwater
asoverheatingmayoccur.
Caution:Transducercale
•DoNOTusethetransducercabletoliftorsuspendthetransducer;always
supportthetransducerbodydirectlyduringinstallation.
•DoNOTcut,shorten,orsplicethetransducercable.
•DoNOTremovetheconnector.
Ifthecableiscut,itcannotberepaired.uttingthecablewillalsovoidthe
warranty.
Multipletransducers
Note:Ifyouareinstallingasplit-pairoftransducers(forexample,anRV-212PunitwithanRV-212S
unit),ensurethatyoutestbothtransducerstogetherbyconnectingthemtothemultifunction
displayusingaY-cableandextensioncable.
Refertothecolored“Port”and“Starboard”labelsonthecablestoensurethatyouconnectthe
transducercablestothecorrectY-cabletails.
Locationrequirements
Followtheguidelinesbelowwhenselectingalocationforyoursingletransducerorsplit-pair
transducers.
Forbestperformance,transducersshouldbeinstalledinalocationwiththeleastturbulenceand
aeration.
Important:DoNOTinstalltransducersin-linewithtrailerrollers,yourvessel’sengineintakeor
dischargeopenings.
•Transducersshouldbeinstalledasclosetothecenterlineofthevesselaspossible.
•Themountingsurfaceforthetransducersshouldbeflatsothatthesuppliedrubberwashersits
firmlyagainstthehull.
•Wheninstallingsplit-pairtransducerswithangledelements,youmustensurethatthehull’s
deadriseangleatthechosenmountinglocationisappropriatefortheselectedtransducers.Refer
tothetableinApplicaleproducts.

•Transducersshouldbeinstalledinalocationwherenoloadwillbeappliedtothetransducers
during,launching,lifting,traileringandstorageoftheboat.
•Transducersmustbeinstalledinthecorrectorientation,withtheanti-rotationboltclosestto
thesternofthevessel.Additionally,adirectionarrowpointingtothebowisembossedonthe
anti-rotationboltcap.RefertothetheillustrationinMounting—RV-2xxronzethru-hull,which
includesa“bow”directionarrow.
•Wheninstallingsplit-pairtransducers:
–thecorrecttransducer(portorstarboard)mustbeinstalledinthematching(portorstarboard)
sideofthehull;eachtransducerinasplitpairhasalabelontheattachedcable,andmarkings
andlabelsonthetransducerbodytohelpyouidentifythetransducer:
