Building instructions for the R700 Roundnose Classic Hydro
Glueing is done with Ca and white glue.
Start by taking out all formers and clean up the edges .
Do not use glue yet
The hull is a egg crate consrtuction , use main formers F4 to start, then place F8, F7,F6.
Place F5 left and right side.
Place formers F3. Place Former F2.

Place formers F1,F9,F10,F11,F12,F13,F15
Now take place the hull on a flat workplate and support the mainformers with a piece of wood to asure a straight
hull. Glue all formers with ca glue
Formers F14 needs to be chamfered.

Make sure for a good fit of F14 to the mainformer and glue with ca.or white glue
Turn hull upside down and support the hull with some wood.
Place spruce stringers onto middle bottom. And balsa stringers on sides(not on picture)

Place balsa side stringers to outside of the main floats, sand to form and sheet , Sides first with the pre cut 0,6mm
plywood, note : the nose is different from the kit version..
Use white glue for planking the underside of the hull with the pre cut 0,6mm plywood.

Smooth the sheeting sides to take the balsa top sheeting
Start sheeting with 3x25mm strip

You have to sand th esheeting strip for a tight fit
Cut the top curve into the sheeting and sand hull smooth. Brush white glue on the hull top and let dry.

Wet the outside mahogany with a bit of water and ad white glue to the other side, let dry.
When dry cut strips of 33m mahogany and use a household iron to iron on the mahogany strip use high temp
setting.
It is possible to steer the mahogany along the sides of allready placed srips, be carful for splintereing.

Carefull sheeting gives best results.
Cut the cowl to size along the inscribed lines best is to take some oversize to avoid cutting of too much.
Place a small strip of plywood to couple the 2 parts, use the hull as reference.

Make the cowl frame acording the drawing, and chamfer the top of the frame to take the cowl.
You can use a press fit to secure the cowl onto the hull.
