Thank you for purchasing this RC Devil product. This assembly manual contains instructions and tips for building
and maintaining your new PC10H3X. Please take a moment to read through this manual to help familiarize yourself
with these steps. We are continually changing and improving our designs; therefore, actual parts may appear
slightly different than in the illustrations. New parts will be noted on supplementary sheets located in the appropria-
te parts bags. Check each bag for these sheets before you start to build.
Limited warranty:
RC Devil guarantees this model kit to be free from defects in both material and workmanship. The total monetary
value under warranty will in no case exceed the cost of the original kit purchased. This warranty does not cover any
components damaged by use or modifi cation. Part or parts missing from this kit must be reported within 60 days
of purchase. No part or parts will be sent under warranty without proof of purchase. To receive part or parts under
warranty, the service center must receive a proof of purchase and/or the defective part or parts. Should you fi nd a
defective or missing part, contact the authorized RC Devil Service/Distributor nearest you. Under no circumstances
can a dealer or distributor accept return of a kit if assembly has started.

Setup-Tips:
Recommended motor-gearing:
An appropriate motor gearing maximises performance an runtime and reduces the load on motor and esc. This
reduces the danger of overheated esc and motor. The following scedule shows starting values to begin with. Gear
ratios might vary due to changing track-conditions, personell driving-style and needs.
Use the following formula to calculate the rollout of your car:
Tyre-diametre x 3.14 / Toegear x Pinion = Rollout in mm
Always use small steps only (1 Tooth)!

Backlash of teeth:
The backlash of teeth should be set in the way that the Toe gear can only be turned about a maximum of 0,5 mm.
If the backlash is to small or to big, loosen the motor-screws and refi x it. Wrong backlash-adjustments lead into
overheating in electronics and damages in the drive-train.
Maintenance:
All moving parts must be inspected on a regular basis. Suspension-parts must move freely without bending or they
will affect the performance of the model and cause damages to it. Always ceep moving parts cleean and moving!
Setup-Tips:
Caster:
Caster describes the angle of the kingpin from vertical while looking from the side of the car. Positive caster means
the top of the kingpin leans rearward. Negative caster means the kingpin is leaning towards the front of the car.
Since caster is measured at the wheel, it is affected by running any inclination in your inboard arm mount. Kick-up
adds (+) caster, and anti-dive adds (-) caster.
Camber:
A good starting camber setting is –1 degrees (top of the tire leaning in). Positive camber, where the top of the tire is
leaning out, is typically not recommended. Trick: Set your car on a fl at surface, and set a soda can next to your tire
as a reference for vertical, or zero camber. Both sides should be equal in setting.
Front width:
A narrow front axle makes the steering more aggressive and a wide one makes the handling easier.
Ridehight:
The ridehight describes the distance from the chassis to the ground. The minimum rideheight of the PC10H3 is
4 mm.
Wheelbase:
Wheelbase describes the distance from the center of the front-wheels to the center of the rear wheels. It can be
varied up to 6 mm on the PC10H3.
Toe-Out:
Toe-Out stabilizes the car on the straight but reduces steering on the entrance of the corner.

Side-Springs:
If the car handles nervous and aggressive, reduce the load of the side-springs by 1/4-turn. If the car handles
inertialy through chikanes, you should use harder side-springs.
Soft springs: increases cornering grip on the rer axle. The car reacts inertial on resetting and load changes.
hard springs: Less cornering grip on the rear axle enables faster load changes. Can make the handling of the car
nervous.
Side-shocks:
Higher viscosity (thicker oil): increases traction on front axle. The result is more steering and slower load changes.
The car handles smoother in fast chikanes. If the car lifts a wheel inside the corner, the oil is to hard.
Lower viscosity (thinner oil): verringert die Traktion an der Front-suspension und bewirkt lower Lenkung.
Center shock:
The spring/oil-combination effects the grip of the rear axle. The softer the center-shock, the more grip the rear-axle
creates. Spring/Oil-Kombination hat eine große Auswirkung auf den Griff der Rear axle. Je weicher der Center
shock, desto mehr Griff baut die Rear axle auf. When powerfull motors are used, the droop must be set to about 1
mm.
Flat shock: More on-power-steering
Steep shock: Less on-power-steering
Center shock spring:
Soft spring: More grip on the rear axle and better control and driveability on bumpy tracks. More off-power-stee-
ring, less on-power-steering. Less danger of spinning on corner-exit on acceleration.
Hard spring: Less grip on the rear axle, more on-power-steering on the apex of the corner, less off-power-steering.
Viscosity oil:
Controlls the grip balance between front and rear axle dramatically.
Lower viscosity (thin oil): Transfers the weight to the rear and causes more grip on the rear axle.
Higher viscosity (thick oil): Transfers the weight to the front and causes more grip on the front axle and more stee-
ring.
The combination of a soft spring with soft oil is best for the use of soft front tires.
Rear droop:
More rear droop: The car has less steering on corner entry, but more steering at high speeds. It also causes more
grip on bumpy tracks.
Less/no droop: The car is more stable on corner entry.
Roll-Center
V-Links:
Lower position: Raises the roll-center, increases steering.
Higher position: Lowers the roll-center, increases the stability of the rear axle.

Side-left:
Raise: raises the roll-center, increases steering
Lowered: Lowers the roll-center, increases the stability of the rear axle.
Battery-position:
Front: Easier to drive, less steering. Less weight-transfer in corners.
Rear: Less steering due to more weight-transfer. Car can feel a little loose on the rear, especially on initial steering
and release of acceleration. In combination with more droop this battery-position causes harder steering because
of relief of the rear axle.
Front steering arms:
OFFSET: Standard in most situations. Usefull on fast tracks without scharp corners
INLINE: Much more steering. Car responds quicly on steering input.
Front tires:
Less round edges: Makes the car handle notchy. Increases the danger of rolling at high speed. might be usefull on
low grip tracks.

Mount the power-pod with the
help of the mounting helpers
as shown. Adjust the turnbuck-
les that the ball-left can move
freely while the Power-pod
and chassis lay on a plain
surface. For a perfekt function
of the V-Link-System, nothing
is supposed to be bending or
rough. A good starting point is
a turnbuckle lenght of 25 mm.
Remove the V-link-mounting
helpers after adjusting the turn-
buckle lenght and proceed with
the assembly.
Power-Pod & Chassis must be in a straight line!

A perfect running differential is vital for a good
handling of your Pan Car! Some of the must im-
portant parts are the differential washers. They
must be grinded on a plain surface with very fi ne
wet abrasive paper. The washers must lay plain on
the hubs to build up constant pressure on the diff-
balls. Only lube the diff-balls and not the washers
. Pay attention to not get any grease between the
O-rings and the hub. Too much grease will only
attract dust and stones to stick to the differential
parts and will negatively affect the function of your
differential. Tighten the differential only a bit and let
it slip. After having built in the motor and the esc,
let the motor run at low revs and hold the left and
right wheel by turns. This is to run in the washers
appropriately. Tighten the nut by 1/8 turns in bet-
ween and repeaet the procedure until you reach
the suggested function of the differential.
