ABOUT HDMI
High-Denition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a high-speed digital interface that can
transmit uncompressed high denition video and digital multichannel audio. It delivers
high quality picture and sound quality. HDMI is fully backward compatible with DVI. As
required by the HDMI standard, connecting to HDMI or DVI products without HDCP (High
bandwidth Digital Content Protection) will result in no Video or Audio output.
USING THE AC ADAPTER
Using an AC adapter other than the one supplied with the unit may damage the unit.
Caution:
• Before use, ensure the rated voltage of the adapter matches your local voltage.
• The included AC adapter is for use with this unit only. Do not use it with other equipment.
• If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, disconnect the AC adapter from the wall
outlet.
• Whenever the AC adapter is plugged in to a wall outlet, the AC adapter will draw some
power, even when the Sound Bar is turned off.

USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
• Point the remote control at the REMOTE
SENSOR located on the unit.
• When using this unit in very bright light,
the infrared REMOTE SENSOR may not
work properly.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the batteries become weak, the operating distance of the remote control is greatly
reduced and you will need to replace them.
Notes:
• If the remote control is not going to be used for a long time, remove the batteries to avoid
corrosion damage caused by battery leakage.
• Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix ALKALINE, standard (CARBON-ZINC) or
rechargeable (NICKEL-CADMIUM) batteries.
• Always remove batteries as soon as they become weak.
• Weak batteries can leak and severely damage the remote control.
• WARNING: Do not dispose of batteries in a re. Batteries may explode or leak.
CAUTION:
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or
equivalent type.

This universal remote control can control this DVD Soundbar as well as your other devices
e.g. TV, Cable (Set top box/Satellite box) and Blu-ray/DVD player at home. You need to
program it before use. Follow the instructions of how to program as per the instructions
attached separately.

CONNECTIONS
POSITIONING THE UNIT
HDMI CONNECTION
Connecting to your TV (HDMI)
Connect a HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT
jack on this DVD Soundbar to the HDMI IN
jack on your TV so the video content goes
from the DVD Soundbar to the screen.
Place the DVD Soundbar on a at
surface. For optimal performance,
the soundbar should be centered
underneath the TV or monitor. Be
sure there is nothing blocking the
front of the DVD soundbar, and the
space between the soundbar and the
surface is not obstructed.

B. Connect a COAXIAL Cable (not included) from the COAXIAL IN jack to the COAXIAL OUT
jack of your TV, Set-Top Box or Blu-ray/DVD Player.
Then press DIGITAL IN button twice on the remote control or SOURCE button on the
Soundbar to select COAXIAL IN mode.
When COAXIAL IN is selected, the DIGITAL IN LED indicator located on front of Soundbar
will ash slowly.
CONNECT WITH A TV AND OTHER AUDIO DEVICES
A. Connect an Optical Cable (not included) from the OPTICAL IN jack to the OPTICAL OUT
jack of your TV, Set-Top Box or Blu-ray/DVD Player.
Press DIGITAL IN button once on the remote control or SOURCE button on the
Soundbar to select OPTICAL IN mode.
Note: OPTICAL IN and COAXIAL IN supports PCM signal only. You may need to activate
PCM (Downmix) on your source device, e.g. TV, Set-Top Box or Blu-ray/DVD Player.
When OPTICAL IN is selected, the DIGITAL IN LED indicator located on front of Soundbar
will illuminate.

C. Connect an Audio Cable (not included) from the AUX IN jacks to the AUDIO OUT jacks of
your TV, Set-Top Box or Blu-ray/DVD Player.
Press SOURCE button on the Soundbar or ANALOG IN button once on the remote
control to select AUX IN mode.
PLAY OTHER DEVICES
D. Plug one end of a 3.5mm Audio Cable (not included) into the LINE IN jack and other end
into your MP3 or other audio sources.
Press SOURCE button on the Soundbar or ANALOG IN button on the remote control
twice to select LINE IN mode.
When LINE IN is selected, the AUX IN / LINE IN LED indicator located on front of Soundbar
will ash slowly.
When AUX IN is selected, the AUX IN / LINE IN LED indicator located on front of Soundbar
will illuminate.

PAIRING AND CONNECTION
Before Bluetooth pairing, turn on the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth enabled device.
1. Turn on the Soundbar.
2. Press button on the remote control, the (Bluetooth) indicator on the soundbar will
ash.
3. On your Bluetooth enabled device, select “Bluetooth” from the list of available bluetooth
connections. It will take a few seconds to pair.
4. If the Bluetooth pairing is
successful
, the (Bluetooth) indicator lights up. Soundbar and
your bluetooth enabled device are now paired and connected. You can now enjoy audio
from this Soundbar.
5. If the Bluetooth pairing is
unsuccessful
, the (Bluetooth) indicator will keep ashing at
slow speed. Follow the pairing and connection instructions above and try again.
Notes:
1. If your Bluetooth enabled device requires a password while pairing, please enter 4-digit
number: 0000.
2. Bluetooth enabled devices must be reconnected when the device has been turned off or
this Soundbar has been turned off. Follow the pairing and connection instructions above.
PAIR AND CONNECT WITH ANOTHER NEW DEVICE
In order to pair the Soundbar to a new device, you must rst disconnect the currently paired
and connected Bluetooth device from the list.
1. On the currently paired and connected Bluetooth device, select “Bluetooth” from the list of
currently paired and connected devices, and disconnect it. Please refer to your Bluetooth
enabled device User’s Guide for direction on how to disconnect a device or turn off the
Bluetooth device.
2. Follow the pairing and connection instructions above.
PLAYBACK VIA BLUETOOTH®ENABLED DEVICES
BASIC OPERATION
1. Press button on the unit or SOUNDBAR button on the remote control to turn on the
unit.
2. Press the SOUNDBAR button once on the remote control.
3. Press DVD, ANALOG IN or DIGITAL IN buttons on the remote control to select DVD, AUX
IN, LINE IN, OPTICAL IN or COAXIAL IN source (input). The LEDs located on front of
Soundbar will indicate the currently-selected source, for COAXIAL IN and LINE IN the LED
indicator will ash slowly when selected.
4. Press VOL / buttons to adjust Volume.
5. Press STANDARD/MUSIC/TALK/MOVIE buttons on the remote control to obtain your
desired sound effect.
Notes:
• When mute is enabled, the 4 LED indicators will ash. Press the MUTE button on the
remote control to disable the mute function and LED ashing stop.

USING THE DVD/CD PLAYER
Note: Most DVDs and your player have region codes that help control illegal distribution of
DVDs. The region code of your player is 1. You can only play DVDs with a region code of 1or
ALL. The region code for a DVD is printed on the DVD or the DVD packaging.
1. Press DVD button on the remote control to select DVD mode.
2. Gently open the disc door by pulling up the edge of the door.
3. Hold the disc by its edge and gently push it onto the spindle, with the label side facing up,
until you hear a “click”.
4. Push the disc door gently to close it. It takes a short while for your unit to load the disc. After
loading, for most DVDs, the unit will automatically take you to the main menu of the DVD
or start playing the DVD.
5. If the unit does not automatically start playing the DVD, press the PLAY button on the
remote control or button on your player.
TIP: Press the STOP button once before turning off the unit. This will allow you to resume
DVD playback at the same place the next time the unit is turned on.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The unit does not switch on.
• Make sure it is plugged in.
• Press button on the unit or SOUNDBAR
button on the remote control to turn on
the Soundbar.
I have no sound.
• Press the VOLUME / button on
the top of the Soundbar or VOL /
button on the remote.
• Ensure the source you’ve selected is
outputting audio. If you’re using “audio
out” from your TV, ensure your TV is
congured to output audio (see TV’s
menu settings).
• Ensure your AV connections are properly
made (ensure you don’t have any loose
connections).
• Ensure you’ve selected the correct source
(input) - the LEDs located on the top of
the Soundbar will indicate the currently-
selected source (input).
• Mute is activated (the 4 LEDs on top of the
Soundbar ashes). Press the mute button
on the remote control.
Cannot setup Bluetooth pairing
• Reset the bluetooth connection by turning
off and on your connected device, or this
Soundbar, or select other SOURCE on
this Soundbar then back to Bluetooth
mode again.
The remote control doesn’t work
• If battery is weak, replace the batteries
and ensure the new batteries are installed
correctly.
• Please ensure there is nothing blocking
the remote sensor on the front of the
Soundbar.

AVC MULTIMEDIA (“AVC”) makes the following limited warranty. This limited warranty extend to
the original consumer purchaser and is limited to non-commercial use of the product.
One Year Parts & Labor Warranty
AVC products purchased in the United States are warranted to be free from defects in materials or
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of their original retail purchase. If the unit fails
to conform to this warranty, we will service the product using new or refurbished parts and products,
at AVC’s sole discretion.
During a period of one year from the effective warranty date, AVC will provide, when needed, service
labor to repair a manufacturing defect at its designated Service Center. To obtain warranty service
in the United States, you must rst contact our Customer Support Center at support.RCAAV.com.
The determination of service will be made by AVC Customer Support. PLEASE DO NOT RETURN
YOUR UNIT TO AVC WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION. New or remanufactured replacements
for defective parts or products will be used for repairs by AVC at its designated Service Center for
one year from the effective warranty date. Such replacement parts or products are warranted for
an additional one year from the date of repair or replacement. The Customer will be required to
ship the unit to the Service Center indicated at the time Customer Support is contacted to make the
necessary repairs. The customer is responsible for all transportation charges to the service facility.
Packaging and Shipping Instruction
When you send the product to the AVC service facility you must use the original carton box and
packing material or an equivalent as designated by AVC.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Your Responsibility
(1) You must retain the original sale receipt to provide proof of purchase.
(2) These warranties are effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the U.S.A. or
Canada.
(3) Warranties extend only to defects in material or workmanship, and do not extend to any product
or parts which have been lost or discarded, or damage to product or parts caused by misuse,
accident, improper operation or maintenance, or use in violation of instructions provided with
the product, or to product which has been altered or modied without authorization of AVC, or to
products or parts thereof which have had the serial number removed or changed.

In the event your product requires repair after the limited warranty period has expired, please

Important: You are responsible for any transportation, shipping or insurance relative to the return
of product to our Product Returns Center.
All warranties implied by state law, including the implied warranties of merchantability and tness for
a particular purpose, are expressly limited to the duration of the limited warranties set forth above.
With the exception of any warranties implied by state law as hereby limited, the foregoing warranty
is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, guarantees, agreements and similar obligations of
manufacturer or seller with respect to the repair or replacement of any parts. In no event shall AVC
be liable for consequential or incidental damages.
No person, agent, distributor, dealer or company is authorized to change, modify or extend the
terms of these warranties in any manner whatsoever. The time within action must be commenced to
enforce any obligation of AVC arising under the warranty or under any statute, or law of the United
States or any state thereof, is hereby limited to one year from the date of purchase. This limitation
does not apply to implied warranties arising under state law.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you may also have other rights, which may vary,
from state to state. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, when
an action may be brought, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so
the above provisions may not apply to you.

CONEXIÓN HDMI
Conexión a su TV (HDMI)
Conecte un cable HDMI a una toma HDMI
de salida en este Soundbar DVD, a una
toma HDMI de entrada en su televisor,
para que el contenido de vídeo vaya del
Soundbar DVD a la pantalla
Ponga el Soundbar DVD en una
supercie recta. Para un rendimiento
óptimo, el soundbar deberá estar
centrado debajo de la pantalla o
televisor. Asegúrese de que no hay
nada que bloquee la parte delantera
del soundbar DVD, y el espacio entre
el soundbar y la supercie no está
obstruida.

B. Conecte un cable coaxial (no incluido) de la toma de entrada COAXIAL (OPTICAL IN) a
la toma de salida COAXIAL (COAXIAL OUT) de su televisor, codicador o reproductor
Blu-ray/DVD
Pulse el botón de COAXIAL IN una vez en el control remoto o botón SOURCE en el
Soundbar para seleccionar el modo COAXIAL IN.
Cuando se selecciona COAXIAL IN, el indicador LED de DIGITAL IN, situado en la parte
delantera del Soundbar, parpadeará lentamente.
CONECTAR CON UN TV Y OTROS DISPOSITIOVS DE AUDIO
A. Conecte un cable óptico (no incluido) de la toma de entrada OPTICA (OPTICAL IN) a la
toma de salida OPTICA (OPTICAL OUT) de su televisor, codicador o reproductor Blu-
ray/DVD
Pulse el botón de DIGITAL IN una vez en el control remoto o botón SOURCE en el
Soundbar para seleccionar el modo OPTICAL IN.
Cuando se selecciona OPTICAL IN, el indicador LED de DIGITAL IN, situado en la parte
delantera del Soundbar, se iluminará.
Nota: OPTICAL IN / COAXIAL IN es solo compatible con señal PCM. Puede que necesite
activar PCM (Downmix) en su dispositivo fuente, p. ej, el televisor, decodicador o reproductor
Blu-ray/DVD.
