Introduction
Thank you for becoming a RCMADE Co., Ltd. customer. This manual provides
users with directions and technical details on installing and configuring the
NET009 Digital Signage Player. All information included in this manual is to be
considered confidential and may not be duplicated or given to third parties
without written permission from RCMADE Co., Ltd. .
Product Overview:
NET009network digital signage player is a digital media player typically used
in advertising and multi-media display. The main benefit of the product is that the
contents can be updated remotely through network for multiple users. Based on
embedded design solution, NET009is more reliable and easy to use. It
supports different audio and video format, and any combination of video, audio,
image and scrolling text. With our powerful administration software, you can
remotely configure and control thousands of NET009terminals distributed in
any public spaces such as airport, stations, community centre, bank and
building.

•Play contents (files) stored on CF card, without scheduling.
If you expect to play contents repeatedly (without scheduling), do not
need to install any software, and simply copy video/picture files to the CF
card. Play time duration for a day can be set (see setting the player).
•Play contents based on playlist scheduling file. Edit playlist by using
software AdListEditor.
A playlist is a list of play contents (movies, images, text marquee and
etc.). You can easily use AdListEditor to make playlist table for your
NET009 player. You can also determine the play duration, play mode
(full screen or multi-zone screen), user-defined files play order, marquee
or scrolling text and etc.

•Update playlist files and monitor the player status remotely by using
network administration software – AdServer. (See AdServer operation).

NET009 users can get latest upgraded version of the firmware.
Upgrade procedure:
2.6.1 Press menu to open main menu window
2.6.2 Copy new firmware bank30.rom into a USB drive and Plug it in
2.6.3 Upgrade is in process – Reading, Erase, Writing, … until done

3.1 Setup time to boot up or shut down remotely
You can run AdServer to remotely setup the time to boot up or shut down the
NET009 network digital signage player. Please see AdServer operation
instruction
3.2 Setup time to boot up or shut down the player by configuring playlist table
You can configure 128 time schedule for booting up or shutting down the player
through playlist table, with precision in minute. The time for starting first file is
the booting up time, and the time for the end of last file is the shutting down time.

Please follow installation instructions below.

then double click on the icon dotnetfx35.exe.

The next step is to install software AdListEditor.
Note: If the old version of AdListEditor has been installed in your computer, you
should uninstall it first.

This section describes how to use AdListEditor to create/edit a Playlist for
your player.
Double click AdlistEditor icon on your computer, and the main application
window appears, see figure 5.1

From File View window, select file folder where the video/image/text files
located, and then select file(s) to be loaded in upright pane. Click Add button to
load these files into the output window. If you want to remove file(s) from output
window, select them and click delete button.

Click Edit View tab to switch to Edit View Window. The files listed in the left of
the window. A screen template is on the top, and below is the list files to be
displayed. The right side window enables you to select display type and
schedule your playlist time duration. See Figure 5.2 below.

5.3.1 Select “Content Type”, for example, Video and picture, or Marquee.
5.3.2 Set date and time duration; Select “Screen Type” (Single or multiple zone);
Drag files into the screen template.

There are two display types: Video/picture, and Marquee.
You can click “Content Type” dropdown list menu to select
which type to be used for playlist editing.

A playlist file can be edited to include up to maximum of 30 day’s contents, and
up to 128 scheduled time duration in minute for each day.
5.5.1 Set date
Input date (format: yyyy-mm-dd) into the date
box. If the time box below is empty, input time
duration into the time box. Then click “Add”
button beside date box.
If you want to delete or change the date, select
that date, and then click “Delete” button; Or
change it in the date box, and click “Modify”
5.5.2 Set time duration (Period of Time)
Input time duration (hh:mm-hh:mm), and then
click “Add” button.
If you want to delete or change the time
duration, select that time duration, and then
click “Delete” button; Or change it in the time
box, and click “Modify” button.

NET009 screen type is defined as single/full screen type and multi-zone type.
There are 4 zones in multi-zone screen mode. One main zone is for video and
picture display, while other three zones are for picture only. The aspect ratio for

picture-zone 1 and picture zone 2 is 240*180, and for picture-zone 3 is 640*120.
To change screen display type, simply click “Screen Type”
dropdown list menu and select “Single Screen” or “Multiple
Zone”

To add file to the screen template window, select file and drag it to one zone of
the template.
All dragged files will appear in the window of content of current period
Press Delete button to remove the selected (highlight) item from the
content pane if you want.
When you drag a picture in Single Screen mode, a dialog window will be
popped up for you to set transition mode. See figure 5.4

From transition mode configuration window (figure 5.5), you need to input a
pause time (range from 5 to 3600 seconds), and click dropdown list menu to
select one of transition mode. Press OK button to confirm it.
There are 14 transition modes available for the selection.

5.9.1 Copy One Day’s Playlist
Select a date from figure 5.3, and
then click “Copy Days” button to
pop up a window as in figure 5.7
The left dropdown menu is the
source day with the playlist to be
copied, and the right dropdown
menus are start and end date of
target days to be copied to.
Press OK to confirm copy days.

5.9.2 Copy Example:
Copy contents from one day to up to 30 days
a) After editing playlist for 2009-01-01, select this day as a source day.
b) In pop up copy window, select start date to 2009-01-02, and end date to
2009-01-31. Press OK button so that the content of Jan1 is copied to Jan2 to
Jan31 which means in January, everyday will play same content.
5.9.3 Copy Content from an item of Time Duration
As in figure 5.3, select an item of time duration as a source to be copied, and
check the “Copy” box. Input new time duration (hh:mm-hh:mm) in the time box
and press “Add” button so that the content of the new duration will have same
content as the source time duration.

Marquee scrolling message is the text displayed on the bottom of a screen. User
is able to set and edit this message for up to 30 days and 128 durations per day
based on playlist table.
