I. Overview
1.1 What is the Reach Bee3 PLUS?
The reach Bee3 PLUS recording processor is integrated with recording, live play and
sharing, dual recording of two screens, automatic switching between pictures (single
picture, picture-in-picture and picture-out-picture) and lectures, and the ability to
upload recorded content to platforms such as Wowza, Youtube, Facebook, etc. It is a
favored product by many people for its convenient and simple ease of use.

Play.
3: Zone for controlling: the buttons from left to right are Lock screen, 5 different layout
options and the Setting Menu.

III. Quickstart
3.1 Recording
Start recording: Click the “Record” button on the main interface to start
recording.
Stop recording: Click the “Stop” button on the main interface to stop recording.
Recording time: Keep track of the length of recording with the feature at
upper right corner of the screen.

3.2 Layout Switching
Layout and channel switching:
Click the preferred layout option on the main
interface to switch the layout.
Click or to choose one video layout (single picture, only A or B
channel),
and Click to switch between screens A and B.
3.3 Streaming
Click the button on the main interface to stream a recorded broadcasting
(the streaming parameters must be set in Setting Menu before uploading.)
3.4 Pause and Replay
Click the button on the main interface to open Files and click to select the video
you want to Play.
(A video must be selected in order for this feature to work.)

Click the forwards or backwards buttons, , in the bottom-right hand corner to
choose the preferred file from the video list.
Select a file from the list, , to choose the
video file.
Click to delete the video file.
Click to download the video file to USB.
Click to return to the Main Menu.
Click to play the video file.

Controls for Video-playing mode are as follows:
Click or to switch videos during replay.
Click to pause the video.
Click to adjust the volume, currently just support 3.5mm audio output
port for volume adjustment.
Click to stop replay and turn back to Files screen.
3.5 Lock
After clicking the button on the main interface, the screen will lock to the settings
currently in place. To unlock again, the user will need to login by password, (as shown
in below figure).
the default password is admin.

The lock password can be changed in the Settings Menu .
3.6 Setting Menu

Click the button on the main screen to go to the settings menu.

4.1 Input setting
Click in the setting menu to enter the Audio and Video settings as shown
above.
1) Audio
Of the 3 choices, , click the corresponding button for the audio port being
used to record and stream. Then click the OK button to save the setting.
2) Video
This function will be coming soon.

4.2 Output setting
Click in the settings menu to find the Save, RTMP, RTSP and FTP features
as shown above.
1) Save
Click the save button to store recorded videos.

2) RTMP
With the standard RTMP protocol, it is sent to the stream media server that is installed
with RTMP protocol (taking LAN as example)
If a machine is installed with FlashMediaServer3.5 with an IP address of 192.168.1.195,
the standard IP address under the main stream address or sub stream address could
be set as rtmp://192.168.195/live/main or rtmp://192.168.195/live/sub .
If it is required to start main stream and sub stream at the same time, drag the bar to
the state of .
Please click OK button to save the setting at last.
Watching Live:
Input “rtmp://192.168.195/live/main” in the network steaming of the player.
If the live fails, please check if the address is correct and the network is good with a
viable ping value.
If the main stream is selected, the live broadcasting parameter is same as the main
stream under Encoding setting.
If the sub stream is selected, the live broadcasting parameter is same as the sub
stream under Encoding setting.
3) RTSP

Choose the Type of unicast or multicast first, and then turn on the RTSP streaming by
.
Please click OK button to save the setting at last.
Watching Live:
From the setting interface, you can get the RTSP link address, such as , input
“rtsp://192.168.0.1:8557/main” in the network steaming of the player (such as VLC
Player).
If the live fails, please check if the input address of player is correct and the network is
good with a viable ping value.
If the main stream is selected, the live broadcasting parameter is same as the main
stream under Encoding setting.
If the sub stream is selected, the live broadcasting parameter is same as the sub
stream under Encoding setting.
4) FTP

Type in the FTP services information to enable the FTP upload function, and then click
OK to save the setting.
4.3 Encoding Setting
1) Audio

Set the Sample and Bitrate of audio, as seen in the figure and click the OK button to
save the setting.
2) Video
Click Main-stream or Sub-stream to choose a Streaming and Video Quality option for
streaming and recording.
1080P, 720P, 480P and 270P are the four choices for Image Quality and set the
resolution ratio for Streaming and Recording as well as the Stream Type and Bitrate
as the figure.

Stream Type:
CBR: Constant Bit Rate
VBR: Variable Bit Rate
CVBR: Constrained Variable Bit Rate
Click OK button to save the setting.
4.4 Advanced
1) Layout
Choose between the EqualRatio and Stretch options for the layout, and click OK to
save the setting.

Here you can set the IP address, Gateway, DNS, etc. for the network settings.
Reference the picture above for the following - .
When is OFF:
Click to input the IP address, Gateway and DNS
manually and then click OK to save the setting.
Slide the bar to ON to obtain an IP address automatically.
2) Date Time

Click the "Up" and "Down" buttons to set the time or date and then click OK button to
save the setting.
3) Screen Lock
Type in the old and new passwords, and then click OK button to change the lock
password.
4) Serial Port of RS232 and RS485

It is recommended to set them in default.
5) General
System Upgrade
Downloading updates by USB can be done here, but is currently unavailable.
Instead, you can upgrade the newest version by Web. Type in the Web address to the
Browser, and then choose the upgrading file to download it.
