MAINTENANCE
GENERAL CARE
The WPF‑QR2 is finished with a protective anodized plating that protects the
aluminum from corrosion and mild abrasion. It will not protect against scraping
against or dropping on rocks/concrete/etc. DO NOT USE THE WPF-QR2 AS A
HANDLE FOR PICKING UP YOUR GEAR.
CLEANING
If any component is fouled, dry dust and dirt can be blown off and/or wiped off
with a soft cloth. Mud or salt water should be lightly rinsed off with fresh water
and then thoroughly dried. Do not direct a high‑pressure stream of water at any
component. The clamp knob is captive, meaning it cannot come off without
damaging it so do not attempt to remove the knob.
LUBRICATION
Most parts require no lubrication. Just keep the components free from
contamination to maintain smooth action. Over time, Release Buttons may trap
grit and feel sticky. Wipe Release Buttons clean, then press to expose backside
of Release Button; apply lubrication and work the Release Button back and forth
to distribute. We recommend using a water resistant silicon grease.
