Getting Started
Refit Cam is a portable home health camera to view various body parts like
sides of ear, nose, mouth, scalp and skin which are difficult to see with naked
eye.
To use Refit Cam, you need to install a dedicated application program
(RefitCam) on your smartphone.

Installing Refit Cam App Program
In order to use Refit Cam, you need to install ‘RefitCam’ application program on
your smartphone. Search ‘RefitCam’ or ‘Solmitech’ in the Google Play store and
install the application program.
Searching Refit Cam App
1. Click Play store ( ) icon on your smartphone screen to run Play store
application program.
2. Select APPS & GAMES tap on the screen.
3. Enter ‘RefitCam’ or ‘Solmitech’ in the edit field and click Search ( )
icon.

4. Select RefitCam application program from the list.

Installing and Running RefitCam App
You need to find RefitCam application program in Play store and install it on
your smartphone.
1. Select RefitCam application program and click INSTALL.
2. Once a pop-up window appears asking whether install or not, click
ACCEPT.

3. RefitCam application program will be downloaded and installed
automatically.

4. Select OPEN on your screen after the installation is done or click
RefitCam icon on your smartphone to run RefitCam app.
5. Once you run RefitCam app, the initial splash window appears for 2
seconds and disappears.

6. Now, the main window appears and you are ready to connect Refit Cam
with your smartphone.
Refit Cam Connection
1. Connect Refit Cam to the USB terminal of your smartphone while
RefitCam application program is running.

2. When a pop-up window appears saying ‘Open RefitCam when this USB
device is connected?’, check the box and click ‘OK’. Then, whenever
you connect Refit Cam to your smartphone in the next time, RefitCam
application program will automatically run.
3. A window appears again asking you to open RefitCam when Refit Cam
device is connected. Check the box and click ‘OK’.

4. If Refit Cam is connected to your smartphone properly, the main window
appears ready to take images and videos.
5. If the connection fails and you see the window saying ‘Connection with
RefitCam failed. Please reconnect.’, then simply disconnect Refit Cam
and reconnect it to your smartphone.

NOTE: Refit Cam is linked to your smartphone via USB OTG. Some
smartphones (earlier than June 2013) may not be linked with Refit Cam
and its app. will not support the functioning. See the list of available
mobile devices.

Using Refit Cam
Refit Cam Outlines
Two types of Refit Cam, straight and bent type, are available.
Due to the 50 times of magnification rate, the straight type Refit Cam (SHC-
CM1S) can show the conditions of your scalp or skins and the particles or bugs
in your clothes very effectively. It can also be used to observe leaves or insects
and even to check printing qualities.
The bent type Refit Cam (SHC-CM1R) has 10 times of magnification rate, so it
is suitable for observing small letters, some stuff between your teeth, skin
troubles on your back, etc.
Once you place your Refit Cam on an object wearing the silicon cap on it, you
can easily view clean images on your smartphone.
When you connect Refit Cam to your smartphone, LED lights of Refit Cam turn
on. This feature enables you to observe tiny particles or bugs in dark sides.
How to Use
You can easily observe various body parts like sides of ear, nose, mouth, scalp
and skin which are difficult to see with naked eye by using Refit Cam.

Adjusting Focus
1. Hold your smartphone with one hand and gently hold Refit Cam with the
other.
2. Place Refit Cam close to an object which you want to observe.
3. See magnified parts of the object on your smartphone.
4. When the image on your screen is not clear, move your Refit Cam up
and down to fit the focus of Refit Cam.
5. If you use a straight type Refit Cam, you can see very clear images
when your Refit Cam is placed on 5mm apart from a surface of an
object. For bent type Refit Cam, the focal length is 20mm.
NOTE: Since the focal length of the straight type Refit Cam is very short
(5mm), even a slight hand movement can make the image on the
screen be blurred. We highly recommend you to wear the silicon cap on
your Refit Cam while you use the straight type Refit Cam.
Using Silicon Cap
Whenever you are to observe a tiny particles or bugs using the straight type

Refit Cam, it is very convenient to use the silicon cap.
Once you place the capped Refit Cam on the surface of an object, you can
easily see very clear images on your screen.

For the bent type Refit Cam, you can simply view small letters or parts without
wearing the silicon cap.
But if you want to see the inner side of your ears or such kind of small dark
narrow area, you’d better use the long silicon cap.
NOTE: When you use the silicon cap with your Refit Cam, placing your Refit
Cam on the surface of an object slightly gives the best quality of images
on your screen.

Controlling Screen Brightness

Set the brightness of your smartphone as high as possible. It helps you take
clear and crisp image and video recordings comfortably.
Problem Solving
If Refit Cam app does not work, check if the USB cable is connected properly
to the smartphone. Since Refit Cam uses smartphone battery for its operation,
it will not work when the battery of the smartphone is discharged. Charge your
smartphone and re-use it.
Refit Cam can be operated in the smartphones having the USB OTG function.
Check your smartphone is equipped with USB OTG function or see the table of
‘List of Available Smart Devices’ in advance.
