General safety instructions
Installera och använd endast orginaldelar som har blivit testade och kontrollerade av tillverkaren.
Tillverkaren fråntar sig allt ansvar för skador som uppkommit vid andvändande av "icke" orginalprodukter,
eller vid oförsiktigt användande.
Detaljer angående tillverkarens produkter som tillverkningsår, tillverkningsnummer och teknisk info
är märkt på ventilen. Kontrollera för säkerhets skull att max och min gränser för temperatur och tryck
efterföljs. (Gå inte under eller överstig dessa värden.)
Den elektriska inkopplingen måste utföras av en behörig elektriker som följer bestämmelserna enligt
EVU, VDE och EN. (Bryt strömmen helt till produkten innan arbete utförs på de elektriska komponenterna).
Produkten levereras med en el-kontakt som endast får sättas in i ett jordat strömuttag.
Allt arbete av obehörig personal på det elektriska systemet är helt förbjudet! Livsfarligt!
Install and use exclusively original spare parts and accessories, which have been tested and released by the
manufacturer. The manufacturer excludes any liability for damages caused by the use of non-original compo-
nents and accessories or by incorrect handling.
Details concerning manufacturer, year of manufacture, serial number and the technical data are provided on
the type plate or the markings on the valve. Make sure to fully comply with the service parameters of tempera-
ture and pressure protection (do not remain under these values and do not exceed them).
The electrical wiring and connection must be performed by a qualified electrician according to the applicable
local EVU, VDE and EN regulations. De-energize the system before working on electrical components.
The device is delivered with a plug (power supply), which shall only be plugged in a grounded safety socket.
Any unauthorised work on the electric system is strictly forbidden, mortal danger!

Konstruktion/Construction
Reflex påfyllningsstation består av ett återsugningsskydd Typ BA som följer bestämmelserna enligt SS EN 1717,
avtappning, smutsfilter, manometeruttag, motorkulvetil, kontrollenhet, tryckgivare, reduceringsventil (DIN EN 1567)
Reduceringsventilen är justerbar mellan 0,5-5,0 bar. Ventilhuset är tillverkat av varmpressad mässing och de.
reflex ’fillcontrol’consists of a shut-off, system separator type BA acc. to DIN EN 1717, tundish, dirt trap, mano-
meter connections, motor-operated ball valve, control unit, pressure sensor, manometer and pressure reducer
(acc. to DIN EN 1567). Adjustment range of the pressure reducing valve between 0.5 and 5 bar. The body is
made of hot pressed brass and the internal components and the tundish of high-quality synthetics and elasto-
mer (EPDM).

Användnings område/Range of application
Reflex påfyllningsstation är konstruerad till att automatiskt fylla och återuppfylla värme eller kylsystem.
Det integrerade återsugningsskyddet BA följer bestämmelserna enligt EN 12729 som hindrar återflödet av
varm eller kallvatten in i vattenledningarna. Reflex påfyllningsstation är tillåtenatt monteras in med en permanent
anslutning till värme eller kyl systemet, enligt bestämmelserna DIN EN 12828.
The reflex ’fillcontrol’ is designed for the fully automatic filling and refilling of heating and cooling water applica-
tions. The integrated system separator BA complying with EN 12729 prevents the backflow of heating
or cooling water into the potable water mains. In this combination the reflex ’fillcontrol’ is admissible
for the direct and permanent connection of the potable water mains to the heating and cooling water
system in accordance with DIN EN 12828.

NärduansluterrörettillReflexpåfyllningsstationsedåtillattstagnationäruteslutet.Utloppsröretmåstevara
anpassat (längd/ nominell bredd) så att tryckförlusten i röret är <0,3 bar i varje driftkondition.
Spola noggrant röret innan du installerar Reflex påfyllningsstationen så det inte finns någon risk för att smutsfiltret
täpps igen utan att vattnet lätt kan passera genom rören. För att förenkla vid underhåll och inspektion kan man med
fördel montera påfyllningsstationen lättåtkomligt en bit ifrån väggen, om detta ej är möjligt förmontera då
vattenmätaren.
När du installerar Reflex påfyllningsstation se då till att inspektioner och reperationer kan utföras utan
problem. Kolla att flödesriktningen blir rätt genom ventilen. (märkning finns på ventilen.)
Kontrollera så att placeringen där anordningen är installerad är säkrad ifrån översvämmningar och frostskador,
se till att dräneringsröret är väl dimensionerat så att avloppsröret kan så effektivt som möjligt ta hand om den
genomflödande volymen. När man ansluter avtappningen till avloppssystemet så ska man följa bestämmelserna
enligt DIN EN 12056. För att garantera hållbart resultat rekomenderar vi en installation av vattenfilter enligt
DIN 19632 direkt bakom vattenmätar anordningen.(Observera även underhållsintervallen)
(→ S.17).
When installing the connecting pipe of the reflex ’fillcontrol’ make sure that stagnation is excluded. The down-
stream pipe has to be passed in a way (length/nominal width), that the the loss of pressure in this pipe is < 0,3
bar in every operating condition. Thoroughly flush the pipe prior to installing the reflex ’fillcontrol’ . reflex ’fill-
control’ has to be installed zero potential into the pipeline that the tundish faces vertically downwards, so that
the discharged water can be drained easily. Provide easy access to the device to simplify maintenance and
inspection (keep sufficient distance from wall when demounting and/or installing the covering). If not available,
pre-assemble a water meter.
When installing reflex ’fillcontrol’ , ensure that inspections and maintenance can be carried out troub-
le-free (mount shut-offs). Consider the direction of flow (→ markings on the body of the valve).
Ensure that the location where the device is installed is safe from flooding and freeze and is well ventilated.
The drain pipe must be able to collect the drained volume. When connecting the tundish to the sewage, the
valid norm DIN EN 12056 has to be adhered to. To guarantee lasting and proper mode of operation, we recom-
mend the installation of a potable water filter acc. to DIN 19632 directly behind the water metering device. Also
observe the maintenance intervals of reflex ’fillcontrol’ (→p.17).

Elektrisk anslutning/Electrical connection
Reflex påfyllningsstation kan nu kopplas in till strömförsörjningen. Endast ett 230 V uttag behövs för
anslutning. Alla elektriska anslutningar samt inkoppling av larmfunktion får endast utföras av behörig
elektriker som följer bestämmelserna enligt (EVU) och VDE.
Kopplings schemat här nedanför måste följas noggrant.
Stäng av strömmen innan arbetet med de elektriska komponenterna inleds.
reflex ’fillcontrol’ is ready to be plugged (power supply and plug for jack bush). Only a 230 V safety socket is
required on-site. The electric wiring and, if required, the connection of a dry collective alert contact has to be
carried out by a qualified electrician acc. to the local (EVU) and VDE regulations.
The terminal connection diagram (see below) has to be strctly observed.

Förutsättningar för igångkörning/

• Installationen av Reflex påfyllningsstation är nu klar.
• Inkopplingen på vattensidan av systemet inkl. uppströms och nedströms avstängningsventiler
sitter på plats.
• Elkopplingen enligt bestämmelserna VDE och EVU har blivit utförda.
• Rörledningarna till Reflex påfyllningsstation måste sköljas och rensas från smuts och svetsrester.

• Manometern har blivit installerad på reduceringsventilen. (fabriks monterad från approx 06/06)

Steps to intial start-up

Öppna alla avstängningsventiler för att ställa in kontroll parametrarna.
Parametrarna skall vara inställda efter kundens behov
Kontroll enheten inkluderar tre nivåer, och lösenord för att skydda service menyn (→ S. 11),
Meny för fyllning av systemet (→ S.10), och kundens inställda meny. Igångkörningen kan kräva vissa
justeringar av de fabriksinställda värdena beroende på vilket system den installeras i.
Establish water connection
Open all upstream and downstream shut-off valves prior to setting the control parameters.
System-dependent parameter setting of the customer menu
The control unit includes three control levels, the password protected service menu (→p. 11), the menu for the
initial filling of the system (→p.10), and the customer menu.
The initial start-up possibly requires the adjustment of some factory settings to the respective system-specific con-
ditions.

Tryckreduceringsventils inställning/
Pressure reducer setting
Reduceringsventilen är fabriksinställd på 3,0 bar.
System specifikation mellan trycket:
Minst:p0+ 0.5 bar
och
Max: 0.5 bar under säkerhetsventilens öppningstryck
Reduceringsventilen regleras enligt följande:
-Ta bort isoleringen på påfyllningsstationen.
- Kontrollera så att inloppstrycket är minst 1,3bar högre än utloppstrycket p0.
-För att ändra inställningen, dra då justeringsknappen neråt för att låsa upp systemet.
-Förattändrautloppstrycket,vridpåjusteringsknappenmedsolsellermotsolsföratt
reducera trycket.
-Det valda trycket kan man läsa av på manometern (→ S.3 Nr. 6).
-Efter att det önskade trycket är inställt, tryck då upp justeringsknappen igen för att låsa
systemet.
-Montera bort test manometern.
Ta bort det svarta plasthöljet på påfyllningsstationen (tryck på låsknapparna på båda sidorna + ),
och sätt i kontakten (→ S.7), Sätt på plasthöljet igen och anslut strömkontakten i vägguttaget. Efter
ca. 4 sekunder kommer displayen att visa det aktuella system trycket och lysdioden "Auto" lyser grönt.
Den automatiska vattenpåfyllningen är avaktiverad men kan bli aktiverad genom att trycka på "Mode"
knappen i 3 sekunder. (Lysdioden "Auto" lyser konstant grönt). Tryck på "Mode" knappen igen i 4sekunder
så kommer lysdiod „I“ (Tryck) blinka var 0.5 sekund. Det inställda trycket visas nu i displayen, för att ställa in
rätt värde p0så får man justera det genom att trycka på - ner eller - upp knapparna tills det önskade
värdet är inställt. Tryck på "Mode" knappen igen för att bekräfta inställningen.
Remove black plastics cover of reflex ’fillcontrol’ (press interlocks on both sides + ), put the plug
into the jack bush (→ p.7), put on plastics cover, plug power supply, after ca. 4 seconds the display shows
the upcoming system pressure and the LED display „Auto“ lights up green. The automatic water make-up
operation is deactivated. It can be activated by pressing the „Mode“ key for 3 seconds (LED „Auto“ emits
permanently green light).
Press the „Mode“ key for 4 seconds. The LED „I“ (pressure) flashes every 0.5 s. The preset value p0ap-
pears on the display. To alterate the pressure, press the key or the key, until the desired value is
reached. Press again the „Mode“ key to conclude.

The pressure reducer of reflex ’fillcontrol’is factory-set to 3.0 bar.
System-specific setting pressure between:
At least: p0+ 0.5 bar
and
at most: Final pressure of the system (Pick-up pressure of the safety valve – 0.5 bar)
The pressure reducer can be set as follows:
- Remove insulation of reflex ’fillcontrol’.
- Ensure that the inlet pressure is at least 1.3 bar higher than the desired outlet pressure p0.
- To change the pressure setting, pull the adjustment knob downwards and unlock it.
- To increase the outlet pressure, turn the pressure adjustment knob clockwise and counterclockwi-
se to reduce it.
- The selected pressure can be read on the manometer (→ p.3 No. 6).
- After the desired pressure is set, push the pressure adjustment knob upwards to lock it into place
again.
- Disassemble the test manometer.

Initial filling of the system
För att fylla systemet håll in - ner knappen samtidigt som du trycker på - upp knappen 3 gånger inom två
sekunder. Lysdiod "III" lyser nu grönt och påfyllningen har startats. Det ska vara klart inom 2 timmar eller när
"Mode" knappen har blivit tryckt på 2 gånger. (observera: Efter första trycket kommer E2 meddelandet upp)
Lysdiod "Auto" är grön, om fyllningstiden överstiger två timmar tror systemet att det finns ett läckage och ett
felmeddelande kommer fram i displayen (→ S.12).
Under systemets fyllningstid skall trycket kvarstå (→ S.8).
(Driftövervakningen/Larmet är avaktiverat under tiden).
Viktigt!:Uppfyllningen av systemet kan endast startas om det aktuella trycket är satt
lägre än p0!värdet.
For the initial filling of the system, press and hold the key and press the key three times within two
seconds. The LED „III“ (filling time) lights up and the filling starts. It is completed either after 2 hours, or
when the „Mode“ key is pressed for two times (Attention: After the first pressing the message E2 occurs).
The LED „Auto“ is green. If the filling time exceeds 2 hours, the system considers that there is a leakage
and an error message appears (→ p.12).
Throughout system filling time the set pressure is maintained (→ p.8).
(The operation time surveillance and the cyle monitoring are deactivated during this time).
Important!: The filling of the system can only be started, if the actual pressure set is lower
than the p0value!

Rengörning av smutsfiltret/

Smutsfiltret (→ S.3, Nr. 7) måste rengöras! (→ Underhålls instruktionen). sätt tillbaka isoleringen
efter rengörningen.

Automatic mode
Lysdiod „Auto“ är grön och det aktuella trycket visas i displayen, påfyllningsstationen fyller upp systemet
automatiskt när trycket sjunker under det önskade värdet. Om max värdet för påfyllningen uppfylls så stängs
Reflex påfyllningsstation av. (→ S.8).
Under uppfyllningstiden är lysdioden "Auto" grön och lysdiod "IV" röd. Påfyllningstiden och cyklerna
övervakas, om de larm-värdena överskrids då stängs påfyllningsstationen av och ett felmeddelande visas
i displayen.
The LED „Auto“ is green. The actusl pressure is shown on the display. During automatic mode reflex 'fillcon-
trol' refills the system when the pressure falls below the setting value, if the second value is exeeded, reflex
'fillcontrol' is turned off(→ p.8).
During the LED "Auto" is green and at the same time the LED "IV" is red. The operation time and
the number of cycles are monitored. If the corresponding values are exeeded, reflex 'fillcontrol' disconnects
and an accordant error message is activated.

Ifall ett strömbortfall skulle ske under tiden kulventilen är öppen träder ett integrerat batteri in och stänger av kulventilen
Efter att kulventilen har stängts så försörjer inte längre batteriet det elektriska systemet.
Följdaktligen kan ingenting hända.
In case of a voltage breakdown when the ball valve is opened, an integral battery closes the ball valve.
After closing the ball valve the battery does no longer supply the power to the electronic system. Consequently
no further action can be taken.

Maintenance instruction
Återsugningsskydd:
De europeiska bestämmelserna EN 1717 förklarar hur underhållet av återsugningsskyddet TYP BA skall
skötas, med jämna mellanrum. Funktionen måste kontrolleras med jämna intervall, minst 1 gång per år.
Beroende på varje systems kondition. I och med att avstängningsventilerna är installerade så kan man göra
ett funktionstest med en testmanometer.
Smutsfiltret:
Stäng kulventilerna mot inkommande och utgående system. Skruva avlocket på återsugningsskyddet BA,
använd underhållsnyckeln (SW 27).
Lyft ur smutsfiltret och rengör båda sidorna under rinnande vatten. Kolla så att O-ringen och tätningarna är
intakta, rengör eller byt ut dem om det är nödvändigt.
Patron:
Stäng kulventilerna mot inkommande och utgående system. Skruva av toppen på återsugningsskyddet BA,
använd underhållsnyckeln (SW 27). Ta sedan ur BA-patronen och stödet. Patronens spänningsaggregat
är skyddat inne i patronshuset. Rengör under rinnande vatten, Kolla så att O-ringen och tätningarna är intakta,
rengör eller byt ut om det är nödvändigt.
Underhåll reduceringsventil:
Reduceringsventilen måste testas med jämna mellanrum, minst en gång per år.
Underhåll Batteri:
Batteriet måste bli testat minst en gång per år. Ifall det är urladdat var då god och byt ut det
(Standard 9 V-Block).

Överskriden påfyllningstid
"Auto" lysdioden blinkar rött och displayen visar "E1" och en varnings signal ljuder (om den är aktiverad).
• I slutet av på fyllningstiden har inte det önskade/inställda trycket uppnåtts. Kontroll enheten misstänker
då läckage i värmesystemet.
• Lokalisera läckaget och laga det.
• Tryck in "Mode" knappen i 3 sekunder för att kvittera felet.
Refill time exceeded
The LED „Auto“ flashes red. „E1“ appears on the display, an acoustic alert
signal is emitted (if activated).
• At the end of the refill time, the set filling pressure has not been reached. The control unit considers that the
heating system is leaking.
• Search the leakage and obturate.
• Press the „Mode“-key for at least 3 seconds to acknowledge receipt of the error message.

Maintenance system separator
The European Standard EN 1717 prescribes maintenance of the system separator type BA on a regular
basis. The correct functionality of the valve has to be tested by a qualified technician after the first year of
service and then periodically, depending on the respective operating conditions, but after one year at the
latest.
The connections available for ball valves allow a functionality test of the device to be carried out with an
adequate pressure gauge.
Dirt trap
Isolate the system and the potable water mains by means of the shut-off valves upstream and downstream
of reflex ’fillcontrol’. Unscrew the top of the BA cartridge by using the maintenance key (SW 27). Remove
the dirt trap and the support and clean both parts with clear, running water. Check that the O-rings and
seals are intact and clean and exchange them if required.
Cartridge
Isolate the system and the potable water mains by means of the shut-off valves upstream and downstream
