1 –WARRANTY POLICY:

2 –SECURITY PRECAUTIONS:
Make sure the monitor bracket is fixed to the vehicle’s chassis and the monitor LCD is fitted
and screwed to it. An inappropriate tighten screw makes the device unsteady.
Never remove the monitor LCD when it is ON.
Do not touch, press or rub the LCD screen with sharp pointed objects.
When the LCD screen is dusty, wipe it carefully using a soft cloth or a dust cloth. DO NOT
USE acetone, toluene or alcohol to clean the display. Doing so may damage the screen.
Remove water splashes from the screen if necessary. They may damage the screen when
exposed for some periods of time.
Cares must be taken when temperature changes happen. Condensation may damage the
LCD screen and electrical components.
3 –RECYCLING PROCEDURE:
REI of Brazil, respecting the environment, uses materials that can be recycled. To minimize
the quantity of electronic waste, verify if there are in your region electronic recycling
collection companies or contact the monitor retailer to get recycling information.
Discard the box and packaging through the local waste material program in your region.

4 –INSTALLATION:
4 –INSTALACIÓN:
4.1
Caution:
Refer all installation and servicing of your monitor system to authorized service personnel.
The manufacturer does not take responsibility for installations made by unauthorized and
unqualified service personnel.
4.2 Warning:
Read all instructions carefully before mounting the system.
It is essential that your mount is properly grounded for user’s safety and preserving device
durability.
Use only parts, accessories and original cables supplied by REI of Brazil.
The screws and mounting brackets for 10.2” and 15.4” ceiling mounted monitors are suitable
for solid metal structures.
The 23” wall mounted monitor must be installed on flat and solid surfaces. This monitor is
provided without mounting bracket and it is a service personnel criteria where and how the
mounting system will be used.
The mounting level surface must be flat and bigger than the mounting brackets that will be
fixed in the vehicle’s ceiling or vehicle’s chassis.
4.3 Fastening:
10.2” Ceiling-Mounted = 2 M6 Screws (Screws and mounting bracket included)
15.4” Ceiling-Mounted = 2 M6 Screws (Screws and mounting bracket included)
23” Wall-Mounted = 8 M4 Screws (Screws and mounting bracket are not included)
For 23” Wall-mounted monitors, do no use screws where the thread exceeds 20mm
penetration in the monitor (There is a short-circuit risk and electronic board damage).

5 –MOUNTING:
5.1 Fixing the 10.2” and 15.4” Ceiling-mounted monitors:
5.1.1 Unpacking:
Remove the system from its box carefully and its plastic protection.
Remove the plastic bag from the monitor and
place the monitor over a safe surface to avoid
falls.
Remove the screen protector film only when
the installation is finished.
5.1.2 Preparing the installation:
Take the monitor bracket that will be installed in the vehicle’s ceiling. This bracket is fitted in
rack located in the top of the monitor.
Fix the monitor bracket in the vehicle’s ceiling using screw pins or M6 screws
Connect the power cord (Faston 2 pins) and then connect the video signal cable (BNC).
Cover this connector to prevent short-circuit with the vehicle’s chassis. This would produce
image distortion.
Note: Some monitors have JPT connectors. Whenever the case, use the table 01 to
assist you with these connections. (See table 01)
Fit the monitor into the bracket fixed in the vehicle’s ceiling, tighten the screws located at the
monitor side (This screw can be changed from side, inverting the rack mounting direction.
Thus, the installation can done using the left side or right side of the monitor.
Place the finishes over the screw holes.
Stick the reflective stickers in the bottom of the monitor, to the aisle side. These stickers help
to stand out the monitor and getting the passengers attention that are walking through the
aisle preventing possible accidents.
Remove the screen protector film.
The monitor cover has rounded corners to prevent cutting edges.

5.2 Fixing the 23” Wall-mounted monitor:
5.2.1 Unpacking:
Remove the system from its box carefully and its plastic protection.
Remove the plastic bag from the monitor and
place the monitor over a safe surface to avoid
falls.
Remove the screen protector film only when
the installation is finished.
5.2.2 Preparing the installation:
The mounting bracket for this monitor is not included within the packaging. Define the best
way to fix it, and remember to not use
screws where the thread exceeds 20mm penetration
in the monitor.
Connect the power cord / Video. This monitor has a connector
Tyco JPT of 4 pins.
Table 01:
Fit the monitor to the mounting bracket and tighten the screws.
Remove the screen protector film.
The monitor cover has rounded corners and made of soft rubber to prevent cutting edges.

7 –TROUBLESHOOTING:
7.1
No power ON
:
Verify if the power cord is connected to the monitor.
Make sure that power cord is getting 24Vdc. Verify if the system fuse or the monitor fuse is
blown.
7.2 No Image:
Verify the video inputs cables are connected correctly.
In most of the cases, there is a video signal distributor that receives the image from the DVD
(or other video source) and retransmits the image to the monitors. Verify the video
connections and make sure the power cord is getting 24Vdc.
8 –OPERATION SPECIFICATIONS:
The monitor has an ON/OFF automatic system in presence/absence of video signal. When
having signal absence, the system returns to standby mode.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
:
9.1 Application:
This product was developed using Embedded Technology principles, guaranteeing all its
components can work in environments with constant vibrations without affect the image
quality or causing damage the device.
The screens have polycarbonate protection acting as an antiglare agent and allowing best
image visualization during the sunlight.
9.2 Technology:
The monitors manufactured by REI of Brazil use TFT technology, allowing best image
quality of the LCD monitors.
Backlight LED technology guarantees less power consumption, high contrast, more
brightness, and thin screens reducing the weight and improving the heat dissipation.

9.3 Identification:
All the devices have an identification label with: Product code, serial number, manufacturing
lot, manufacturing week and manufacturing year. This information is useful to track the
device, the year and manufacturing model and identify the components in case of requiring
replacement parts.
