ACTIVATION AND SELF-TEST PROCDURES
Activating the Unit/LED Light Sequence:
Before inserting the strap into the unit, press the Activation button on the face of the unit
The PWR LED light will turn on
A red PWR LED light indicates a low battery, the unit should be charged before placing it
on an offender
A green PWR LED light indicates a good battery charge
Make a clean cut on one side of the strap
Insert one side of the strap into the unit using the pin tray and locking clip
Measure the strap around the offenders ankle and cut the strap length as needed
Place the pin tray on the end of the strap and insert the locking clip into the unit, then place the
unit on the offender
Press and hold the Activation button for two seconds
The unit will vibrate
The PWR LED light will begin flashing
During the activation process, if the PWR LED light is blinking red this does not indicate a
low battery. This means that the unit is waiting to receive the IP address from the server
The GPS and ZONE LED lights will begin flashing green. These two LED lights will flash together
during the activation process. Initially, they will blink once every second
A Download can be sent to the unit at this time (the download should not be sent before this
sequence) - but within 5 minutes.

Shortly after the download is sent, the GPS and ZONE LED lights will begin flashing twice every
second (If the PWR LED light was flashing red, it will now be flashing green)
This indicates that the unit has received a call from the server and is in the process of
calling the server back
The unit will need to acquire a good GPS signal, if this can’t be done inside, the offender may
need to go outside
Once a good GPS signal is acquired, the unit will vibrate
The PWR LED light will continue flashing green, the GPS and ZONE LEDs will discontinue flashing
This indicates that the unit has been activated. This can be confirmed by looking in the
current status for a successful download
NOTE: DO NOT CONNECT THE POWER DURING THE ACTIVATION PROCESS
Self – Test Mode:
Make sure that the 1 Track is in a good wireless and GPS location
1 Track Straps are opened / out
Make sure that the unit is not activated in the back end. No active offender attached to the unit.
(The unit is not assigned)
1 Track unit is NOT connected to power
Press and Hold the Activation Button until the unit vibrates (about 5 seconds)
The PWR / ZONE / GPS LEDs will begin to blink green, verifying the test is in progress
Only the ZONE and GPS LEDs will be utilized for the test
The results will be displayed on the ZONE / GPS LEDs within 10 minutes
To stop the test, press and hold the Activation Button until the unit vibrates
Test Results:
ZONE / GPS LEDs solid GREEN = Passed all tests
ZONE / GPS LEDs blinking Red ONE time = Modem Failure
ZONE / GPS LEDs blinking Red TWICE = GPS Failure
ZONE / GPS LEDs blinking Red THREE times = Tamper Failure
The test results will be displayed on the ZONE / GPS LEDs for 1 hour
One hour after displaying the results, the unit will turn off by itself
