Introduction
Air Quality in the Home
On average, a person may spend up to 90 percent of his or her time indoors. While
most are aware that outdoor air pollution can aect health, many do not realize that
indoor air pollutants can do the same.
Studies of human exposure to air pollutants by the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency indicate that indoor levels of pollutants may be 2 to 5 times higher
than outdoor pollutant levels, making indoor air pollution one of the top ve
environmental health risks.
The best way to address this risk is to control or eliminate sources of pollutants and
ventilate a home with clean outdoor air. However, opportunities for ventilation may
be limited by weather conditions or by contaminants in the outdoor air. If the usual
methods of addressing indoor air pollution are not sucient, air-cleaning devices may
be useful. 1, 2

remove pollutants from indoor air in your home!
Safety Precautions
• Do not operate the unit in a bathroom or any room with high levels of humidity.
• Avoid placing anything on top of the unit as the ow of air may be restricted and
smaller items may fall inside and damage it.
• Do not introduce any foreign object into the vents.
• Do not handle the cord with wet hands.
• Do not let children operate or play with the unit; improper use may cause electric shock.
• Do not remove the cartridge when the unit is operating.
• For household use only, do not use outdoors.
Getting Started
Remove the unit from the carton and remove all packing materials.
Make sure that the Filter Cartridge is already inserted in the unit and it is free of any
packing material before operating (see“How to remove the Cartridge” section p 8-9).
Place the unit on a at, dry surface where air can circulate freely around and into the
side vents and out the top vents. For peak cirulation, the unit should be at least 30 cm
(12”) away from the wall or any other obstruction.
Avoid placing anything on top of the unit, because the air ow can be restricted and
small items can fall inside of the unit and damage it. Do not use an extension cord and
keep the unit in a dry area.

How the AERO ✓
TM QUATTRO+works
Your AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+has a multi-stage ltering system; this means as air passes
through the purier, it is cleaned multiple times. The multi-stage ltration system
incorporates the following stages, eectively ltering dust, pollen, mold, smoke, pet
dander, odors and bacteria.
Stage 1 – Nano Silver Coated Pre-Filter
An open cell of Polyurethane (PU) foam layer blocks larger particles. This layer is treated
with nano silver particles to prevent the further growth of any microorganisms trapped
on the surface. The front of the cartridge can be carefully vacuumed if necessary.
Stage 2 – Antimicrobial Layer
A ne mesh captures microorganisms preventing them from reaching, and clogging
the HEPA layer
Stage 3 –True HEPA Filter
A High Eciency Particulate Air (HEPA) layer, lters particles as small as 0.3 microns,
it means, more than 200 times smaller than a human hair. True HEPA lters create a
“torturous path”meaning a path with so many twists and turns, the particles eventually
nd themselves on the outside of the airstream and are trapped by one of the bers of
the lter.
Stage 4 – High Capacity Activated Carbon Layer
The nal stage is a High Capacity Activated Carbon Filter that acts like a sponge absorbing
a wide range of gases, chemicals, and odors, giving the air a fresh smell.
Ionizer
The Ionizer on the AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+generates a steady stream of negatively charged
ions that bond with positively charged contaminants making them easier for the lter
to capture. It also helps to freshen stale room air. You can turn this feature on or o.
Operation
Your AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+is easy to operate. Plug the air purier into a properly
grounded power source; then press the Power button on either the remote control
or the unit panel. The fan speed will automatically start at the “Low” setting. Press the
“Speed “ button to switch between High, Medium, and Low. Press the “Ionizer” button
to turn on the Ionizer function.
WARNING: Do not use an extension cord.

Features
Your AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+ has several features to make the use of it even easier:
Timer
The timer lets you set your AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+ so that it
automatically shuts o after a set amount of time has passed – 2,
4, or 8 hours from the time you set it.
To set the timer, press the timer button on the Control Panel or
the Remote Control once for 2 hours, twice for 4 hours, three
times for 8 hours and four times to turn o the function. The
timer function overrides the Sleep Mode. The unit will beep when
the unit turns o.
Sleep Mode
Sleep mode is a low power operation mode for your AERO ✓TM
QUATTRO+. This mode switches the fan to the lowest speed and
turns o the lights in the panel, except the one for the Sleep
Mode, allowing you have a quieter rest. The Sleep Mode does not
override the timer.

same functions as the control panel.

Care and Maintenance
Be sure to unplug the unit before cleaning
To clean the exterior of your unit:
• Use a clean, damp cloth with water; do not use any abrasive detergent.
To clean the air inlet and outlet:
• Clean the dust on or around the air inlet with a dry cloth.
• Clean the dust on or around the air outlet with the nozzle of a vacuum
(refer to the Product Diagram, Figure 1-2).
To clean the Filter Cartridge:
• For eective ltering clean the dust on and around the cartridge with the nozzle of a
vacuum at least every 2 weeks.
• The Nano Silver Coated Pre-lter attaches to the Filter Cartridge with velcro and can
be removed for cleaning. This portion can be cleaned under running water but must
be dried throughly before reattaching it to the Filter Cartridge. This means it must air
dry for at least 4 hours after the excess water as been shaken o.
• Never use water or any cleaning solution to clean the cartridge.
Replacing the Filter Cartridge
The Filter Cartridge will lter for approximately 4,000 hours before needing replacement.
Excessive contaminants in the air will shorten this lifespan, so if you notice that your
ltering is no longer eective, you should replace the Filter Cartridge.The Filter Cartridge
is easy to replace and completely disposable.
You may purchase replacement Filter Cartridges from your Rena Ware representative or
the Customer Service Center near to you. You may also visit Rena Ware on the web at
the www.renware.com for information on our Service Centers. See the Customer Service
Center listing on separate enclosed sheet.
When requesting a replacement Filter Cartridge, refer to item #4002.
How to remove the Filter Cartridge
A. Turn o the unit and unplug it from the outlet.
B. Remove the front cover by grasping the lower left and right corners of the front panel
and pull it up and out (Figure 5).

C. Rotate the cartridge retaining latch
to the left or right 45° and pull
the cartridge out by the bottom.

to hold the cartridge in place.
E. Reattach the front cover, by
aligning the two top tabs and
pushing the bottom of the panel
to reattach the two bottom posts.
F. Plug the unit in and turn it on. Hold
the“Sleep” button for ve seconds
to reset the Filter Replacement

Replacing the Remote Control Battery
The remote control is powered by a long-life CR2025 3V lithium battery.
A. Place the remote control facedown in your hand.
B. Locate the battery drawer at the bottom of the remote.
C. Use your ngernail to push (compress) the latch on the left side of the drawer, while
at the same time you pull the drawer out. (See Figure 10).
D. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new CR2025 3V lithium battery
E. Insert the battery with the positive side (the surface with the printing on it) facing up
as you hold the drawer. This side will be facing up when the drawer is reinserted and
the remote is held face-up.
F. Push the drawer in gently, until the drawer latches holding the drawer shut.

Tips For Cleaner Indoor Air
Here are some important guidelines you can follow to help minimize indoor air pollution
in your home.
Ventilate to prevent mold. Molds are living organisms that grow on wet or damp
surfaces. Prolonged exposure to high levels of mold can result in reduced lung function.
To help prevent mold: Vent bathrooms, clothes dryer, and kitchen fan to the outside. Run
bathroom and kitchen fans when bathing and cooking.
Don’t idle your car in the garage. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas produced
by burning carbon-based fuels. Exposure to CO can cause sudden serious illness. To help
prevent exposure to CO: Never idle your car in the garage, even with the garage door
open. Never use charcoal grills, portable generators or kerosene heaters indoors, on
balconies, near doors or next to vents or windows.
Minimize asthma triggers. Asthma is a disease that aects the lungs and makes it hard
for people to breathe. Allergy triggers can include mold, smoke, dust mites, and pet hair.
Dust furnishings with a damp cloth and vacuum carpets and oors often. Wash bedding
and blankets weekly in hot water.
Don’t allow smoking indoors. Second hand smoke is an asthma trigger and can
contribute to breathing problems. Smokers should smoke only outdoors in areas where
children and other adults are not present.
Avoid overexposure to toxic products. Organic vapors (VOCs) are a health concern
because they can trigger asthma, eye nose and throat irritation, and other symptoms.
Use low VOC paints, carpets and other materials. Provide plenty of fresh air when using
products with strong vapors and always dispose of unused products in a safe manner.
Be careful with pesticides. Exposure to some household chemicals like pesticides may
cause harm to humans, pets, and the environment if not used properly. Limit the use of
pesticides and strong household chemicals in your home, and always dispose of unused
pesticides and chemicals according to the product label

Warranty
The AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+Limited Warranty
Rena Ware warrants its AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+ to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.
This Product is designed for residential use only. This Warranty does not cover normal
wear and tear or blocking of cartridge due to operation in extreme condition.
ThisWarranty does not cover defects resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accident,
use of the Product in a manner other than as described in the instructions and on the
specications label, repair or alteration outside a Rena Ware facility, or lack of maintenance.
Use of replacement parts other than genuine Rena Ware replacement parts or removal
of the specications label will void this Warranty.
Remedy in the Event of Warranty Claim
At its option, Rena Ware will repair or replace a Product, or any part thereof, which
is determined to be defective. If a replacement is made, the Product for which the
replacement is made becomes the property of Rena Ware. This remedy shall be the
exclusive remedy available.
To Obtain Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service, send a detailed written description of the claimed defect to
the closest Rena Ware Service Center. You may be required to return the Product, at your
expense, to the nearest Rena Ware Service Center in order to obtain warranty service.
You may also be required to provide proof of purchase. If, after inspection, Rena Ware
determines that a covered defect exists, Rena Ware will bear the cost of return delivery.
Other Warranty Limitations
This Warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Any implied warranty shall
be equal in duration to the above express Warranty.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, or do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above
limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.ThisWarranty gives you specic legal rights.
You may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Introducción

Una persona puede pasar, en promedio, hasta un 90% de su tiempo en interiores.
Aunque la mayoría está consciente de que la contaminación del aire en exteriores
puede afectar la salud, muchas personas no se dan cuenta de que el aire en interiores
contiene sustancias contaminantes que pueden tener los mismos efectos.

Primeros pasos
Retire la unidad de la caja y retire todo el material de embalaje.
Asegúrese de que el cartucho ya esté insertado en el puricador y no contenga
material de embalaje antes de encenderlo (revise la sección “Cómo quitar el cartucho”
pp. 8-9).
Coloque la unidad en una supercie plana y seca que permita que el aire circule

Funcionamiento del AERO ✓
TM QUATTRO+
Su AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+posee un sistema de ltración en varias etapas, lo que implica
que el aire que pasa a través del puricador se limpia varias veces. El sistema de ltración
en varias etapas incluye las etapas enumeradas a continuación, que ltran efectivamente
polvo, polen, moho, humo, caspa de mascotas, olores y bacterias.
Etapa 1 – Preltro con cubierta Nano Silver
Capa de espuma de poliuretano (PU) reticulado que bloquea las partículas de mayor
tamaño. Esta capa fue tratada con partículas Nano Silver para evitar el desarrollo de

humano. Los puricadors “true HEPA” dicultan el paso de las partículas, es decir, crean
una vía con tantas uctuaciones que eventualmente quedarán fuera del ujo de aire y
atrapadas en una de las bras del puricador.
Etapa 4 – Capa de carbón activado de alta capacidad
Es la última etapa que consiste en un puricador de carbón activado de alta capacidad
que actúa como una esponja que absorbe una amplia variedad de gases, químicos y
olores, dando al aire un olor a fresco.
Ionizador
El ionizador del AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+genera una corriente regular de iones de carga
negativa que se unen a contaminantes de carga positiva para permitir que el puricador
los absorba. También ayuda a refrescar el aire viciado en el ambiente. Esta función puede
apagarse o encenderse.
Manejo
Su AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+es de fácil manejo. Conecte la unidad a una fuente de electricidad
con la conexión a tierra adecuada y oprima el botón de encendido en el control remoto
o la unidad. La velocidad del ventilador comenzará automáticamente en el nivel bajo.
Oprima el botón de velocidad para alternar entre las velocidades (alta, mediana y baja).
Oprima el botón del ionizador para encender la función de ionización. ADVERTENCIA:
No utilice extensiones eléctricas.

Su AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+ tiene varias funciones para facilitar su uso:
Temporizador
El temporizador permite programar la unidad para que se apague
automáticamente después de cierto tiempo (2, 4, u 8 horas).
Para activarlo, presione el botón del temporizador que se encuentra
en el panel de control o en el control remoto: una vez para 2 horas;
dos veces para 4 horas; tres veces para 8 horas; cuatro veces para
desactivar el temporizador. Esta función anula el modo descanso. La
unidad emitirá un sonido cuando se apague.
Descanso (Sleep)
Este es un modo de funcionamiento del AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+de
bajo consumo, en el cual se el puricador baja a la velocidad más
baja y se apagan las luces del panel, salvo la luz indicadora de
descanso, para brindar un mejor reposo. Esta función no anula el
temporizador.

Uso y mantenimiento
Asegúrese de desconectar la unidad antes de limpiarla
Cómo limpiar el exterior:
• Use un paño limpio y humedecido con agua; no use detergentes abrasivos.
Cómo limpiar la entrada y salida de aire:
• Retire el polvo acumulado en la entrada de aire con un paño seco.
• Aspire el polvo acumulado en la salida de aire con la boquilla de la aspiradora
(consulte el diagrama del producto, Figura 1-2).
Limpieza del cartucho del puricador:
• Para que la ltración sea óptima, retire el polvo acumulado en el cartucho con una
aspiradora, use la boquilla, al menos cada dos semanas.
• La malla del preltro recubierto Nano Silver se sujeta al cartucho con velcro, y se puede
remover para limpiarse. Esta pieza se puede lavar bajo el chorro de agua, pero se debe
secar bien antes de volver a sujetarlo al cartucho del puricador, es decir, se debe dejar
secar al aire durante al menos 4 horas después de haber eliminado el exceso de agua.
• Nunca limpie el cartucho con agua ni productos de limpieza.
Reeemplazo del cartucho
El cartucho del ltro ltrará 4000 horas aproximadamente antes de que se deba reemplazar.
Cuando haya una gran cantidad de contaminantes en el aire, se acortará este tiempo, por lo
que deberá reemplazar el cartucho del puricador cuando sienta que el ltro no es efectivo.
Es muy fácil reemplazar el cartucho, y es totalmente desechable.
Puede comprar cartuchos del ltro de repuesto a su representante Rena Ware o en el Centro
de Servicio al Cliente más cercano. En el sitio web de Rena Ware (www.renaware.com)
encontrará información de nuestros Centros de Servicio. En la hoja adjunta a este Uso y
Mantenimiento, encontrará un listado de los Centros de Servicio al Cliente.
Cuando ordene un cartucho, hágalo por el artículo Nro. 4002.
Cómo remover el cartucho
A. Apague la unidad y desconéctela.
B. Retire la cubierta frontal sujetándola por ambas esquinas inferiores y halándola hacia
arriba y afuera (Figura 5).

C. Gire el pestillo sujetador 45 grados
hacia la izquierda o derecha y hale
el cartucho hacia afuera por su parte
inferior. Saque el nuevo cartucho de
su envoltorio.
D. Presione ligeramente la parte superior
del nuevo cartucho en la unidad hasta
que llegue al fondo; presiónelo hacia
abajo. Gire la presilla sujetadora para
sostener el cartucho en posición.
E. Coloque la cubierta frontal en posición
alineando los dos pestillos superiores
y empujando la parte inferior de la
cubierta para insertar las dos clavijas
inferiores.
F. Conecte la unidad al tomacorriente y
enciéndalo. Presione el botón “Sleep”
durante cinco segundos para reajustar
la luz indicadora de reemplazo del
puricador.

Reemplazo de la batería del control remoto
El control remoto usa una batería de larga duración CR2025 3V de litio.
A. Coloque el control remoto boca abajo sobre su mano.
B. La tapa del compartimiento de la batería está en la parte inferior.
C. Empuje con su uña el pestillo ubicado a la izquierda de la tapa del compartimiento
de la batería, halando la tapa al mismo tiempo (vea la Figura 10).
D. Retire la batería vieja y coloque una batería CR2025 3V de litio nueva.
E. Inserte la batería con el polo positivo (el lado con texto impreso) hacia arriba. Este
polo estará visible en la parte superior cuando coloque nuevamente la tapa del
compartimiento de la batería y el control remoto esté mirando hacia arriba.
F. Presione ligeramente la tapa del compartimiento de la batería, hasta que el pestillo
encaje.

Consejos para tener aire más limpio en interiores
Además de utilizar su AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+, asegurese de seguir estos importantes
consejos importantes para reducir la contaminación del aire en interiores en su hogar.
Ventile para prevenir el moho. El moho es un microorganismo que crece en supercies
mojadas o húmedas. La exposición prolongada a altos niveles de moho puede ocasionar
problemas respiratorios. Para ayudar a prevenir el moho: Ventile baños, secadora de ropa
y ventilador de cocina en el exterior. Encienda los ventiladores de baño y cocina cuando
se bañe o cocine.
No deje el automóvil encendido en el garaje. El monóxido de carbono es un gas incoloro
e inodoro que se produce al cuando se queman combustibles de carbono. La exposición
al CO puede provocar enfermedades graves de inicio brusco. Para ayudar a prevenir la
exposición al CO: Nunca deje su automóvil encendido en el garaje, incluso si la puerta
está abierta. Nunca use parrillas de carbón, generadores portátiles ni calentadores a base
de keroseno en interiores, balcones ni cerca de ventiladores o ventanas.
Reduzca los factores desencadenantes del asma. El asma es una enfermedad que
afecta los pulmones y diculta la respiración. Los factores desencadenantes de las alergias
incluyen moho, humo, ácaros y pelo de animales domésticos. Limpie los muebles con
un paño húmedo y aspire alfombras y pisos regularmente. Lave las sábanas y cobijas
semanalmente con agua caliente.
No permita que se fume en interiores. El humo de segunda mano es un desencadenante
del asma y puede causar problemas respiratorios. Los fumadores deberían fumar en
exteriores, donde no haya niños ni otros adultos.
Evite la exposición a productos tóxicos. Los vapores orgánicos (VOC) son un problema
de salud porque causan asma, irritación ocular, nasal y de garganta y otros síntomas. Use
pinturas, alfombras y materiales con bajo contenido en VOC. Cuando use productos con
vapores fuertes asegúrese de ventilar bien el área y deseche los productos no utilizados
de forma segura.
Tenga cuidado con los pesticidas. La exposición a sustancias químicas de uso doméstico
como pesticidas puede ser dañina para los humanos, las mascotas y el medioambiente
si no se usan adecuadamente. Limite el uso de pesticidas y sustancias químicas fuertes
de uso doméstico en su hogar, y deseche siempre los pesticidas y sustancias químicas
no utilizadas según lo indicado en la etiqueta.

Garantía limitada del AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+
Rena Ware garantiza que su AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+está libre de defectos de material y de
fabricaciónpor un año a partir de la fecha de compra.
Este producto está diseñado para uso residencial solamente. Esta garantía no cubre el
desgaste normal o bloqueo del cartucho debido a su operación en condiciones extremas
Esta Garantía no cubre los defectos que resulten del uso inadecuado, abuso, negligencia,
accidentes, uso del producto de un modo diferente al que se describe en las instrucciones
y en la etiqueta de especicaciones, reparaciones o alteraciones efectuadas fuera de los
locales de Rena Ware o por falta de mantenimiento. El uso de repuestos que no sean
repuestos originales Rena Ware o retiro de la etiqueta de especicaciones cancelará
esta Garantía.
Alcance de la garantía
Según lo estime conveniente, RenaWare reparará o reemplazará el producto, o cualquier
parte de este, que se considere defectuoso. Si se efectúa el reemplazo, el producto por
el que se hizo el reemplazo pasará a ser propiedad de Rena Ware. Este recurso será el
único disponible.
Modo de efectuar la Garantía
Para obtener servicio bajo garantía, debe enviar una descripción detallada, por escrito,
del defecto alegado al Centro de Servicio Rena Ware más cercano. Quizás le solicitemos
devolver el producto, por su cuenta, al Centro de Servicio de Rena Ware más cercano
a su localidad para brindarle el servicio bajo garantía. También le podríamos solicitar
que proporcione una constancia de su compra. Si después de la revisión, Rena Ware
determina que existe un defecto cubierto por la garantía, Rena Ware asumirá el costo
de la devolución del producto.
Otras limitaciones de la Garantía
Esta Garantía se ofrece en lugar de toda otra garantía explícita. Toda garantía
implícita tendrá el mismo período de duración que la garantía explícita indicada
arriba.
Algunas jurisdicciones no permiten la exclusión o limitación de daños incidentales o
consecuentes o no permiten limitaciones en la duración de una garantía implícita, por lo
que las limitaciones o exclusiones anteriores pueden no concernirle a usted. Esta garantía
le otorga derechos legales especícos. Usted también podrá tener otros derechos que
varían de una jurisdicción a otra.
Esta garantía se aplica solamente al AERO ✓TM QUATTRO+. Otras garantías se aplican a los
