1. Description / Applications
Klettfix is a trimmer disc for grinding plaster models in dental
laboratories and, depending on the model, is designed solely
for use with the MT1, MT2, and MTplus (only for wet trimming)
trimmers.
The maximum permissible rotation of 3,400 1/min. must not
be exceeded.
The disc system consists of a support disc with a hooked
back and a silicon carbide coated trimmer disc with a fleece
backing. The grinding disc can be easily removed and
replaced from the support disc without the need for tools.
2. Installing the Klettfix disc
Switch off the unit, unplug, and shut off the water supply.
Open the front cover by opening and folding back the quick
release locks.
Installing the support disc (scaffolding)
•if necessary, remove the old trimmer disc from the support
flange.
•clean the flange removing any plaster residue.
•fasten the support disc onto the flange using the central
screw supplied with the set. Mount the enclosed washer
when having a MT2 (see ill. 1 on the last page).
•screw the central screw hand tight using an Allen key.
•by turning the flange manually test the rotation of the disc. If
mounted correctly then the support disc will be seen to
rotate correctly and without hindrance. If this is not the case
repeat the support disc installation process.
Installing the grinding disc
•using the hole in the centre as an aid place the trimmer disc
on the support disc and press down by hand all over the
disc.
•turn the disc manually to check its rotation and any contact
points with the trimmer casing. By incorrect rotation or
grinding marks on the trimmer casing repeat the trimmer
disc installation process.
•close the front cover by closing the quick release locks.
•reconnect power and water supply and test the discs and
trimmer before using on models.
•Do not reach into the trimmer when the trimmer disc is
rotating!
3. Areas of Caution
When trimming you must observe the instructions and
safety tips supplied with your trimmer as well as the
regulations of your trade association.
•do not reach into the trimmer when the trimmer is live.
Sudden activation of the trimmer could cause injury.
•when grinding always wear suitable protective clothing
(safety goggles, ear defenders etc.,).
•never touch the rotating trimmer disc.
•never open the front cover when the unit is activated.
•maximal permissible rotation 3,400 1/min.
•before changing the disc always unplug the unit from
the power supply!
•never grind in the vicinity of flammable materials or in
rooms where danger of explosion is present.

temperature of between 18°C and 22°C and by relative
humidity of between 45 and 65%.
Protect grinding discs from direct sunlight.
Whenever possible, store the grinding utensils in their original
packaging up to the point of use. Once out of the packaging
store the grinding utensils so that deformation is avoided.
