wire. Neverconnectthiswiretoother

120-volt circuit andhasagrounding
plugthatresemblesthe plug illustrated
infigurebelow. Makesurethatthe
machine isconnectedtoan outlet
havingthe sameconfiguration asthe
plug. Noadaptershouldbeused with

1)Using ahoseorbucket, filltank
withamaximumof 10 gallonsof
hot water.
2)Add distributorrecommended
cleaning solution

3)Connect thesupplied extension
powercabletothemachine. Plug
cordintoagroundedwalloutlet.

4)Drop the brushhead tothe floor
withthe footreleasepedalon the
back of themachine.

MACHINEOPERATION
PRIORTO EXTRACTING CARPETS
1)Inspect powercableand extension
cablefordamage. Replacecableif
damage isfound.
2)Vacuumcarpet toremovedebris
priortoextracting carpet.
CARPETEXTRACTING
1)Turnon vacuum/ pumpswitch.
NOTE: Solution will onlyspray
when the brush/ spraybutton is
pushed.
2)Tostart cleaning, pushthe brush/
spraybutton andbegintopullthe
machine backwards.
NOTE: Forbest cleaning results,
pull back on the machine at apace
of approx. 10 feet in15 seconds.
3)Releasebrush/ spraybutton at the
end of thepath, and continue topull
machine back foranother12 inches
topick up excess solution.
4)Tipmachine back ontothe
transport wheelsand pushforward
tobeginnext path.
OPERATING HINTS
1)Overlap cleaning pathbyapprox. 2
inches
2)Workawayfrompoweroutlet and
powercableinordertoavoid
damage tothe powercable.

3)Continuallycheck forfoambuildup in
recoverytank. Useadistributor
recommended foamcontrolsolution.
NOTE: Excessivefoambuildup will not
activatethe float shut-off and maycause
damage tothe vacuummotor.
4)Repeat extraction pathonheavily
soiled areas.
5)If brushstopsspinning, theremaybe
an obstruction inthe brush. Unplug
the powercable,raisethebrushoff
the floorand check foranobstruction.
Check &reset thebrushcircuit
breakerlocatedon thecontrol
housing.
6)Whenrecoverof the dirtysolution
ends, orthe solution tankisempty,
you must drainthe recoverytank.

USE OFACCESSORYTOOLS
NOTE: Priortocleaning upholstery, be
suretoread cleaning instructions
provided bythe manufacturer.
1)Disconnect black vacuumhoseoff
the back right side of the machine.
Connect (optional)accessory
vacuumhosetoarea wherethe
standardvacuumhosewasremoved.
2)Connect (optional)accessory
solutionhosetobrass quick connect
couplerlocated onthe back of the
machine.
3)Connect (optional)accessorytoolto
solutionand vacuumhoses.
4)Turnon vacuum/ pumpswitch.
5)Operateaccessorytoolsasneeded.
6)Whencleaning iscompleted, relieve
waterpressurefromsolution linesby
turning off vacuum/ pumpswitchand
then squeezetriggerfor4seconds.
DRAINING TANKS
DRAINING SOLUTIONTANK
1)Disconnect vacuumhosefromback
of machine and connect the “bleeder”
vacuumhose(included withmachine)
tothe machine back.
2)Removethe solution tankfilterat the
fillarea andplaceend of “bleeder”
hoseintothe bottomof the tank.
3)Turnon vacuum/ pumpswitch&
vacuumout the remaining solution.
DRAINING RECOVERYTANK
1)Turnoff machine, unplug andremove
powercable.
2)Unhookdrainhoseoff theback ofthe
machine and removedrainhose
stopper.
3)Draindirtysolution intofloordrain.
4)Replacedrainhosestopperand
reattachhosetoback ofmachine.
MACHINEMAINTENANCE
Tokeep the machine performing well
formanyyears, pleasefollowthe
followingmaintenanceprocedures.

machineisunpluggedpriorto
performinganymaintenance or

DAILYMAINTENANCE
1)Whencleaning operation iscomplete
forthe day, drainandrinsethe
recoverytankthoroughlywithclean
water.
2)Removeremainingsolution from
solutiontank.
3)Removefloatshut-off (ping pong ballin
cage)fromrecoverytankand clean
withwater.
4)Removeand inspectbrass sprayjets.
If necessary, clean jetsinaceticacid
solution.
NOTE: Donot cleanbrass jetswitha
pointed object, asit will damage the jets.
5)Check brushassembly&removeany
debrisorcarpet fibers.
6)Check pick up head andremoveany
debrisorcarpet fibers.
7)Check condition of the stainless steel
pickupshoeson the pickup head.The
shoesmust contact the floorforthe
wholelengthof the pickup head.
Replaceasnecessary.
8)Clean machinewithanonabrasive
cleaner.
9)Inspect powercableforanydamage.
Replaceif necessary.
MONTHLYMAINTENANCE
1)Flushpump&plumbing withanacetic
acidsolution todissolveanychemical
buildup.
Mixing Instructions:
a)Premix16 oz. oan aceticacid
solutionwith2gallonsof waterand
pourintosolution tank.
b)Turnvacuum/ pumpswitchon
c)Put machine headoverfloor
drainandoperatemachine for50
seconds.
d)Shut machine downand allow
remainingsolution tositinmachine
overnight.
e)Thefollowing day, sprayout
remainingsolution and flushsystem
againwith3gallonsof clean water.
2)Inspectmachine forwaterleaks.
3)Lubricatewheelswithawater
resistancelubricant.
4)Check machine forlooseormissing
nuts, screwand boltsand replaceas
necessary.
MACHINESTORAGE
1)Priortostoring themachine, ensure
the solution and recoverytanks are
cleanand emptyof anysolution.
2)Storemachine inupright position ina
dryarea, withthebrushheadoff the
floor.
3)Removerecoverytankclearlidtoallow
foraircirculation.
NOTE: If you arestoring the machine in
an areawhichcan freeze, be sureboth
tanks and the solution plumbing areempty
of all waterand dry!
