Key Instructions
• External supply: 12V DC at least 50 mA. Power terminals do not care
which wire is positive or negative!
• Mount Translator at least 20 feet from Control Panel’s receiver.
• 3 AAA Al aline batteries give 72 hours bac up if external supply fails.
INSTALL BATTERIES ONLY WHEN EXTERNAL SUPPLY IS READY TO CONNECT.
• Enrolling:
 Sensors
1. Place Panel in Learn Sensors mode.
2. Press Translator Enroll switch repeatedly until Device Type LED
matches the type of device you’re enrolling. ENROLLING AS
WRONG DEVICE TYPE CAN CAUSE IMPROPER OPERATION.
3. Activate particular 2GIG (or Honeywell) sensor as follows:
o PIR: Tamper – ENROLL PIRs FIRST
No tamper on Honeywell 5800PIR-RES: Insert battery
(Used for PIRs and Glass Brea sensors)
o Panic: Button
o Key Fob: Lower Right
o DWS: Tamper
No tamper on Honeywell DWS: Insert battery
4. Automatic responses:
o Green LED blin s on receipt of 2GIG (& HW) pac ets.
o Translator beeps on enrollment into Translator.
o Red LED blin s on transmit of GE pac et to panel.
o The Translator transmits pac ets to the panel as soon as
it learns a new sensor.
5. Panel, if in Learn Sensors mode, will generally learn the GE-
compatible pac ets simultaneously
 Main Translator device
1. Place Panel in Learn Sensors mode.
2. Press tamper switch on Translator board. Enroll in Group 10.
Translator itself never alarms, but its health needs to be
monitored li e a regular DWS.
 Delete all sensors:
1. Press enroll button repeatedly until all Device Type LEDs are

IC Notice
This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is
su ject to the following two conditions:
(1)This device may not cause interference, and
(2)This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause
undesired operation of the device.
IC: 8310A-RE124
Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter may only operate using an antenna of a type
and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter y Industry Canada. To reduce potential
radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should e so chosen that the equivalent
isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful communication.
satisfaisante.
This radio transmitter (identify the device y certification num er, or model num er if Category II) has
een approved y Industry Canada to operate with the antenna types listed elow with the maximum
permissi le gain and required antenna impedance for each antenna type indicated. Antenna types not
included in this list, having a gain greater than the maximum gain indicated for that type, are strictly
prohi ited for use with this device.
