1. Product information
1.1 modeX system
modeX is a wireless communication system, which is suitable for many different situa-
tions such as when teaching hard-of-hearing students. The system comprises different
types of radio transmitters and receivers, which can be combined in different ways.
modeX is compatible with our earlier school system (the 904 system) and corresponding
products from other manufacturers. It is therefore easy to add just what you need to an
existing system.
The modeX system can be used both with a fixed inductive loop and together with
hearing instruments with FM receivers.
1.2 modeX Transmitter
modeX Transmitter is a stationary transmitter which, when connected to other sound
sources (for example other modeX products), relays this information wirelessly to, for
example, a hearing instrument with FM receiver.

2. Installation
2.1 Location
modeX Transmitter can either be placed on a level surface or screwed onto the wall.
Place modeX Transmitter approximately 2-3 metres away from the receivers to minimise
the risk of interference. If more than one modeX Transmitter/Receiver is used, they can
be mounted one above the other (3 Rec./Tra. max.) both when placed on a table and
when mounted on a wall. In this case use our dipole antenna fitted to a 10 metre coaxial
cable to minimise the risk of interference. Remove the rubber feet so that the Transmitter/
Receiver units lie flush against one another.

3.2 Programming modes
There are five different programming modes: Channel, Deviation, Line Level, On/Off
key and Power.
Channel
Select channel: There are 106 pre-programmed channels to choose from. These are
channels 20-99 which correspond to other channels in the modeX system. In addition,
there are 19 H, J and N channels specifically for Phonak frequencies and 7 S channels
specifically for Solaris frequencies. All channels can be received by modeX Receiver even
if the frequency does not match precisely. Channels 00-19 do not have a pre-programmed
frequency and can be adjusted as required, see below.
Change frequency: You can change channels 00-19 to any frequency. These channels
do not work if no frequency value is selected. Hold in the button to step through more
rapidly. The frequency steps through 25 kHz for each rapid press of the Up or Down
button.
IMPORTANT When you have selected a setting, you must press Set to save it.

1. Produktinformation
1.1 modeX-systemet

Placer modeX Transmitter min. 2-3 meter fra modtagerne for at minimere risikoen for
interferens (forstyrrelser).
at minimere risikoen for interferens (forstyrrelser). Fjern gummifødderne, så Transmitter/
Receiver-enhederne ligger fladt mod hinanden.

3.2 Programmeringstilstande
Der findes fem forskellige programmeringstilstande: Channel (kanal), Deviation, Line
Level, On/Off key og Power (sendeeffekt).
Channel (kanal)
Hold knappen inde for at skifte
frekvens hurtigere.
