please read this user guide carefully, and

Before using your Stick Snack Maker for the rst time make sure that it is
thoroughly clean and dry. Please follow the cleaning instructions on page 6 of
this user guide.

Before using your Stick Snack Maker for the rst time make sure that you:
• Remove the Stick Snack Maker from its packaging.
• Completely unwind the mains cable.
• Place the Stick Snack Maker on a dry, level heat-resistant surface
away from any other appliances or objects.
Your Stick Snack Maker is now ready to use.

1. Make sure that your Stick Snack Maker is clean and dry.
2. Position your Stick Snack Maker on a at surface or table close to a plug
socket.
3. Plug the power lead into a suitable plug socket.
4. Close your Stick Snack Maker and pre-heat it for a few minutes. The
green and red light will be illuminated to show that the machine is pre-
heating, when the green Indicator light switches off, the machine is hot
enough to use.
5. Once ready to use make sure that each cavity of your Stick Snack Maker
has been coated with an oil spray.
6. REMEMBER that the baking plates are very hot; do not touch these with
your hands.
7. Add a little of your chosen batter or mixture to each cavity on the
bottom baking plate.
8. Then place a wooden skewer into each groove making sure to sink it into
the mixture in its cavity.
9. Add more of your chosen batter or mixture to each cavity covering the
wooden skewers.
10. Do not overll each cavity; remember that your mixture will expand with
cooking.
11. Carefully close the lid, clip shut the lid latch and allow the Stick Snacks to
bake for 4-5 minutes.
12. Steam will come out of the machine as your food cooks, this is normal.
13. During cooking, the temperature regulating thermostat maintains an
even temperature. You may therefore notice the indicator light ickering.
14. After 4-5 minutes you can test that the Stick Snacks are ready by inserting
a toothpick into the middle of one; if it comes out clean they are ready.
If not simply close the lid for another 1-3 minutes.
15. Once your Stick Snacks are ready switch off the machine and leave to
cool for a few minutes before removing with a wooden, silicone or plastic
utensil.
16. Serve your Stick Snacks immediately with your choice of sauces.

Follow these simple steps to clean and maintain your Stick Snack Maker after
every use:
1. Turn your Stick Snack Maker OFF and then un-plug it from the mains.
2. Allow the machine to completely cool down.
3. Clean the top and bottom casing with a soft damp cloth and then dry
with a kitchen/paper towel.
4. Open the Stick Snack Maker and wipe away any excess mixture with
a soft damp cloth and then dry with a kitchen/paper towel. Make sure
that each cavity on the top and bottom baking plates are thoroughly
cleaned and dried.
5. Once your Stick Snack Maker is clean and dry it is ready to be packed
back in its box ready for the next use.
NEVER immerse the Stick Snack Maker in water, other liquids, or use in a dish-
washer. There is danger to life due to a risk of electric shock.
NEVER use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (e.g. scrubbing brush or
a knife) for cleaning.

Hot Dogs on a Stick
These are fun for parties, or a nice tasty snack
to share with friends and family, a delicious
alternative to traditional hot dogs!
Ingredients
• 250g of self raising our
• 250g milk
• 2 medium eggs
• 1 teaspoon salt
• A pinch of pepper to taste
• 6 x frankfurter sausages
This recipe will make 12 Hot Dogs on a Stick with
the Retro Diner Stick Snack Maker
Instructions
1. Beat the eggs and milk together in a large
mixing bowl.
2. Sift in the our to the bowl, add the salt and
pepper, and mix until a smooth batter has
formed.
3. Next cut each of the frankfurter sausages in
half and thread half a sausage onto each
skewer, leaving 1cm of skewer sticking out at
the end that will sit towards the middle of the
machine.
4. Once your Stick Snack Maker has
pre-heated coat each cavity with an oil spray.
5. Add a dessert spoon sized amount of batter to
each cavity on the bottom baking plate.
6. Quickly place one stick (with the half
frankfurter) into each cavity, you have to move
fast as the base of the hot dog will begin to
cook immediately.
7. Finally add another dessert spoon sized amount
of batter over each sausage before closing the
machine.
8. Check the hot dogs after 5 minutes, you can
test to see if the batter is ready by inserting a
toothpick into the middle of one, if it comes out
clean they are ready. If not simply close the
machine and leave them to bake for up to an
additional 3 minutes.
9. Once the hot dogs are ready, switch off the
machine, and leave them for a minute before
carefully removing and starting the process
again with the rest of the mixture.
10. Serve warm with a selection of ketchups and
mustard and enjoy!
Jalapeño Poppers on a Stick
These poppers can be as spicy as you dare by
simply adding extra jalapeños and cayenne
pepper, they are a far more healthier alternative
to deep fried versions!
Ingredients
• 250g of self raising our
• 200g milk
• 2 medium eggs
• 100g of grated cheddar cheese
• 100g soft cream cheese
• 50g of chopped green jalapeño peppers
• 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
• 1 teaspoon of cumin
• 1 teaspoon of salt
This recipe will make 12 Jalapeño Poppers on a
Stick with the Retro Diner Stick Snack Maker
Instructions
1. Beat the eggs and milk together in a large

pepper, cumin and salt and mix until a smooth

of batter over each stick before closing the
machine.
8. Check the poppers after 5 minutes, you can
test to see if the batter is ready by inserting a
toothpick into the middle of one, if it comes out
clean they are ready. If not simply close the
machine and leave them to bake for up to an
additional 3 minutes.
9. Once the poppers are ready, switch off the
machine, and leave them for a minute before
carefully removing and starting the process
again with the rest of the mixture.
10. Serve warm with a dipping bowl of sour cream
and enjoy!
