The plug is equipped with an ALCI safety feature.
Press the Test Button, you will hear a click, and the
Reset Button will pop out. Press the Reset Button,
and you are ready to insert the plug into a wall outlet.
The Green Light on the Reset Button will illuminate,
conrming the plug and outlet are properly
functioning.
Only insert into a 120V/60hz 15amp outlet.
Place the Base Unit on a counter, table, or bench. Once the Base Unit is plugged in, the device is now
ready to be powered on.
Locate the Main Power On/Off Switch at the rear/top
of the Base Unit.
Once switched to the ON ( I ) position, the LED Power
Display on the device’s front will illuminate and cycle
through a “HELLO” message.
Following this message, you will see a steady numeric
number. This number indicates the current Tension
Setting Level.
Reverse-Air provides the tension needed to stretch and straighten hair. Different hair types require different
levels of Reverse-Air tension. If the tension level is too high for your hair, it could slightly tangle; therefore, it is
important to experiment to nd personalized settings that work best for you.
Generally, healthy and thicker hair (thick strands) tend to work well with higher tension levels. Those same
levels may not suit damaged or ne hair (thin strands). Also, shorter hair may manage better than longer hair
at higher tension levels. Rev has no rules, so start low and slow and test your way up.
BEFORE GETTING STARTED
Designed to work on all hair types, RevAir utilizes patented technology that is customizable to achieve the best
results for your individually unique hair. When considering your hair type (wavy, curly, coily, or straight), also
consider its length, strand thickness, and density.
Also, consider the porosity of your hair — is it damaged by chemical treatments such as coloring, bleaching, or
relaxing? These are all essential factors in determining the Reverse-Air tension and heat levels needed to produce
the best results for your individual hair type.
Be prepared to experiment a bit to unlock the perfect setting combination specic for your hair type.

POWERING REVAIR
CHOOSING YOUR REVERSE-AIR TENSION LEVEL
USING YOUR REVAIR DEVICE

myrevair.com // 15
The effectiveness of Reverse-Air means less heat is
needed when compared with traditional blow-drying.
So, even on high ( II ), RevAir heat is relatively low.
Still, your hair may require even less, so
we recommend you experiment with both
high ( II ) and low ( I ) settings.
As a nishing step, switching to the no heat setting
( O ) duplicates the cold shot found on most blow
dryers, locking in results.
Note: The Wand includes an internal sensor to monitor
heat levels minimizing heat exposure. The heat will
not turn on unless the Base Unit is powered on.
II = High Temperature (800 watts)
O= No Heat | Cold Shot
I = Low Temperature (400 watts)
Level 7
Setting
TESTING THE TENSION SETTINGS
We recommend you begin with clean, towel-dried hair. Before feeding
your hair into the powered on device for the rst time, be sure the
Reverse-Air Tension is set no higher than Level 2.
After powering on your device, press the up arrow button until your
desired tension setting is illuminated to set your tension level. Select
your desired temperature setting (see below), and insert your rst
section of hair into the Wand.
After 10 seconds, pull the hair out of the Wand to ensure no tangles
have formed at the section ends.
If you do not see any tangles forming and think you need additional
tension, move up to the next setting for an extra 10 seconds. Repeat until you nd your ideal level.
For recommended section size and drying times, see pages 16-17.

Level (Base Unit) to the determined settings for your hair type
and condition. CAUTION: When using Reverse-Air Tension
Level 1, use Low ( l) or No Heat ( O) only. High Heat ( II ) should
only be used when the Reverse-Air Tension Level is set at Level
2 or higher.
• Take your rst section, gathered from about a 3” x 3” area of
scalp, slightly more or less depending on how dense/thick your
hair is. Too much hair will limit the airow, while too little hair
will compromise the Reverse-Air ow. Those with average hair
density are likely to complete their head in 7-10 sections.
• Feed the section of hair into the Wand until the Wand Mouth
reaches the scalp. Slowly move the Wand Mouth across the
scalp, or lightly dab around the section base to reach all the root
area within the section. The heat generated from the Wand kept
rm or close to the scalp will dry the section’s entire length.
How you Rev is likely to be as unique as your hair. Take your time exploring different techniques to see what
works best for you.
First, determine your best heat and tension level settings*. Next, follow these steps to Rev your hair:
*See “Using Your RevAir Device” on pages 14-15 to determine your best Rev settings.
• Thoroughly wash your hair. Squeeze-out or towel-dry excess water
from hair and complete your detangling routine.
• RevAir works best on clean damp hair. If a section becomes too dry,
lightly spray with water to re-dampen the hair.
• Divide your hair into approximately 3” x 3” sections. Think through
your section pattern and either pre-clip or manage your sections as
you progress.
• CAUTION: Before using RevAir, any leave-in product should be
applied sparingly. Do not saturate the hair with leave-in hair care
products, oils, or water to the point of dripping. Avoid using sticky
xatives before Reving. Any excess substance on or in the device
can cause damage and void your warranty.
• Place the Base Unit on a counter, table, or bench. Power on the Base
Unit. Set the Temperature Control (Wand) and Reverse-Air Tension
NEW TECHNOLOGY MEANS NEW TECHNIQUES
TROUBLESHOOTING TIP
The Wand includes a sensor to monitor heat levels. Should a section of hair be too
large in volume, the Heat Chamber will shut down, indicating the section size should
be reduced.
Removing the section of hair from the Wand will allow cooling. Simply remove the
section and retry with less hair. The Heat Chamber will resume automatically.
Note: The shut-o will be indicated by a noticeable change in sound from the Heat
Chamber Blower during use.

• Do not pump the Wand. Repeatedly moving the Wand
up and down the hair’s length is unnecessary and may
compromise the smooth Reverse-Air ow along with your
nal results.
• Drying time varies by hair type and texture, but the typical
range is 30 to 90 seconds per section.
• After about 30 seconds, pull the Wand about 2 inches away
from the scalp to feel if the root area is still damp. When
dry, pull the Wand away from the scalp allowing the hair
section to fall free. Repeat this process section by section
until complete.
• Note: Hair should not be left in the Wand for more than 120
seconds continuously. Check hair periodically throughout
the drying process.
• Pro Tip: For added volume, we recommend Reving one
section at the crown by pulling the section slightly forward
and straight up.
Your RevAir device is equipped with various troubleshooting indicators. Please see the chart below for
tips on managing any errors that may appear on your LED screen.
Filter Fault Indicator
This indicates the Filter Panel is improperly
installed. Check the Filter Panel and the
Filter Basket to ensure proper installation.
If the issue persists, contact customer

Base Over-Temperature Indicator
Indicates the Base has overheated.
If this happens, you will experience no heat
in the Wand. Turn the Wand heat to ( O )
and allow the device to keep running until
the “H” disappears.
This typically occurs if:
•the Filter Basket in the Base needs
to be cleaned
•the Hose is kinked or obstructed
•the Base is in an enclosed space or
too close to a wall obstructing proper
