3. Transport and storage
The device is sensitive to mechanical damages. Care should be taken to properly protect the device during
transport so as to eliminate any damage. It is forbidden to transport the device components separately in a
collective package –each component must be packed separately and cannot 'bump' during transportation.
Due to protective packaging, the device should be stored in the temperature -20°C ÷ +60°C at the humidity
below 99%RH.
4. Device construction
The industrial acoustic signalling device of 108 dB is composed of a signaller, a mains power lead and a relay
cable.
4.1 Construction of the industrial acoustic signalling device of 108 dB
The photo shows the industrial acoustic signalling device of 108 dB in accordance with product code 106-01-02-
001.

NOTICE!
Before you begin any installation operations or start using the device, you should refer to the manual supplied
by the manufacturer. Improper connection to the mains power supply, incautious device installation, or
improper use may cause property damage. Moreover, any failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions may
void your warranty.
NOTICE!
Keep in mind that all the components should be mounted with the leads facing down.
NOTICE!
It is forbidden to make any additional mounting points or any holes both in the device assembly components and the
device itself.
5.1 Industrial acoustic signalling device of increased volume of 108 dB
The device is used for acoustic signalling of the programmed events such as, for example, clock alarms. The
device is fully compatible with the RGB Technology products enabling this kind of signalling.
5.2 Signalling device connection
The diagram below shows an illustrative connection to the ZA5 clock in accordance with product code 301-01-
01-001.
NOTICE!
Before making the connection, make sure that the signalling device is disconnected from the mains power
supply. If you have any problems, please contact the RGB Technology technical support.

5.2.1 List of the signalling device connections to the RGB devices
1. The relay cable coming out of the RGB Technology device should be connected as follows:
Blue core -> RA connector of the relay;
Brown core -> RB connector of the relay;
6. Initial start-up
Step 1: Make sure that all the leads are properly connected,
Step 2: Make sure that all the components have been installed in the correct orientation (the horn and the
leads facing down),
Step 3: Connect the RGB Technology device and the industrial acoustic signalling device of 108 dB to the mains
power supply,
Step 4: The properly connected system should start signalling the programmed alarms, events.
7. Disposal and recycling
7.1 Packaging material recycling
The packaging elements must be segregated and, then, recycled in accordance with the local executive
regulations on waste disposal.
7.2 Device disposal
The device must not be disposed of as urban waste!
In accordance with the directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), if the repair of the device is not economically justified, the
user must take the damaged or destroyed equipment to a special waste disposal centre.
8. Most common installation errors
1Wrong orientation of the signalling device.
2Drilling additional mounting holes.
