Thank you for purchasing the EcoNet®Smart Thermostat.
This easy-to-use programmable thermostat works with your
Rheem®HVAC and water heaters1, providing on-screen
information when you’re home and complete control when
you’re away. It’s smart enough to alert you when an issue
is detected, yet easy to use with a simple touchscreen
interface. And it has built-in WiFi, so you can monitor your
system and adjust temperatures and schedules while
on-the-go for optimum convenience, comfort and savings.

Before Installation Begins
Failure to read and follow all instructions carefully could cause personal injury and/or
property damage.
NOTE: All wiring must comply with national, local, and state codes.
Mounting Recommendations
• Install thermostat on an interior wall approximately 5 feet above the floor
• Place away from drafts or direct sunlight
• Do not install behind doors or other objects
Electrical Specification
• Input Voltage — 22 VAC to 26 VAC (24 VAC typical)
• AC Line Frequency — 50/60 Hz
• WiFi — 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz
Wiring Diagram
Use 18 AWG or larger for normal wiring applications.
NOTE: Four wires are required.
Wire units in a “daisy chain” and not in a “star” configuration.
The order of the devices in the network is not specified except the EcoNet Smart Thermostat should
be at one end of the network.

Avant d’entamer l’installation
Un manque à lire et suivre toutes les instructions avec soin pourrait entraîner des blessures corporelles
ou des dommages matériels.
REMARQUE : Tout le câblage doit être conforme aux codes nationaux, locaux et régionaux.
Recommandations de montage
• Installez le thermostat sur un mur intérieur, à environ 1,52 m au-dessus du sol
• Placez-le loin des courants d’air ou de la lumière directe du soleil
• Ne l’installez pas derrière des portes ou autres objets

1. Coupez le courant
AVERTISSEMENT:
Coupez le courant au
système CVC au
niveau du disjoncteur
2. Placez le tore de ferrite
(si fourni) autour des
fils du thermostat
et nichez-le dans la
cloison sèche
3. Fixez solidement la
plaque murale
Utilisez les chevilles et vis pour
cloisons sèches fournies.
Conseil pratique : Assurez-
vous que la plaque d’assise
est bien droite en centrant la
bulle du niveau intégré.
4. Raccordez les fils à la
borne du thermostat
Notez la couleur de fil utilisé
pour chaque borne; il est
recommandé d’utiliser le fil de la
même couleur sur les points de
raccordement identiques sur les
unités intérieures et extérieures.
Conseil pratique : En cas
d’installation correcte, le levier
de dégagement du bornier
s’abaissera pour indiquer
l’engagement.
5. Fixez l’écran sur la
plaque murale installée
6. Mettez en marche
Remettez le système en
marche et laissez le thermostat
intelligent EcoNet configurer
automatiquement votre
équipement.

Déclaration de conformité à la FCC
Avis de conformité – Cet équipement a été testé et reconnu conforme aux limites applicables à un appareil numérique de
classe B, conformément à la section 15 des réglementations de la FCC. Ces limites sont prévues pour offrir une protection
raisonnable contre un brouillage préjudiciable dans une installation résidentielle. Cet équipement produit, consomme et peut
émettre une énergie en radiofréquence et, s’il n’est pas installé et utilisé conformément aux instructions, il peut causer un
brouillage préjudiciable des communications radio. Cependant, il n’est pas garanti qu’un brouillage ne se produira pas dans
le cadre d’une installation particulière. Si cet équipement cause un brouillage préjudiciable de la réception radio ou télévisée,
ce qui peut être déterminé en éteignant et en mettant l’équipement en marche à plusieurs reprises, nous encourageons
l’utilisateur à tenter de corriger le brouillage en prenant au moins l’une des mesures suivantes :
• Réorientez ou déplacez l’antenne de réception
• Augmentez la séparation entre l’équipement et le récepteur
• Raccordez l’équipement à la prise d’un circuit différent de celui sur lequel le récepteur est branché
• Consultez le fournisseur ou un technicien radio/télévision expérimenté pour une assistance

appareil numérique énoncées dans la norme relative au matériel brouilleur, intitulée : « Appareils numériques, » NMB-
003 du ministère canadien des communications. Cet appareil est conforme au(x) CNR applicables aux appareils radio
exempts de licence d’Industry Canada. Le fonctionnement est soumis aux deux conditions suivantes :
1. Cet appareil ne peut causer aucun brouillage.
2. Cet appareil doit pouvoir accepter tout brouillage, y compris un brouillage qui pourrait entraîner un fonctionnement
