DE HK Trächtigkeitsdiagnosegerät für Schafe und Ziegen
Im Verlauf der Trächtigkeit gewinnt die Gebärmutter durch die Mengenzunahme des Fruchtwassers und das Wachstum der Frucht stark an
Größe. In der 8. bis 9. Trächtigkeitswoche senkt sich die Gebärmutter in die Bauchhöhle ab. Durch das Absenken gelangt gelangt der Übergang
vom Gewebe zum Fruchtwasser in den Meßbereich der Ultraschallwellen. Trächtigkeit und Betriebsbereitschaft werden akustisch (Signalton)
und optisch (LED) angezeigt. Eine bestehende Trächtigkeit wird durch ein Dauersignal angezeigt. Ein unterbrochenes Signal zeigt ausreichenden
Kontakt zwischen Sonde und Hautoberfläche an. Um eine hohe Sicherheit der Aussage zu gewährleisten, ist der Einsatz des HK Trächtigkeitsdia-
gnosergerätes bei Ziegen ab dem 60. Tag und bei Schafen ab dem 70. Tag nach dem Decken zu empfehlen.
Wichtiger Hinweis: Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit einer 9 Volt Alkali-Mangan Batterie ausgeliefert. Ein Akku mit Ladegerät kann als
Zubehör bestellt werden. Bitte nur dazugehörige Originalteile verwenden und die Bedienungsanleitung beachten. Das Gerät darf bei eingelegter
Batterie keinesfalls mit einem Ladegerät betrieben werden, da dies zu massiven Beschädigungen führen kann. Zum Nachrüsten mit Akku und
Ladegerät wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler oder direkt an den Hersteller unter www.rheintechnik.de
1. Funktionsprüfung
Schalten Sie das Gerät ein durch Betätigen der ON/OFF Taste. Benetzen Sie den Kopf der Sonde mit einigen Tropfen Kontaktmittel (siehe hierzu
Angaben unter 2.). Drücken Sie anschließend den mitgelieferten Testkörper auf die Sonde. Ertönt bzw. erscheint ein durchgehendes Signal,
ist das Gerät in Betriebsbereitschaft.Beachten Sie unbedingt die Batterieanzeige. Beim Aufleuchten der roten Anzeige ist ein sofortiger
Batteriewechsel vorzunehmen. Es dürfen dann keine weiteren Messung mehr durchgeführt werden, da die notwendige Stromversorgung für
ein zuverlässiges Meßergebnis nicht mehr gewährleistet ist.
2. Kontaktmittel
Das Kontaktmittel ermöglicht den für eine sichere Diagnose notwendigen luftlosen Kontakt zwischen Sonde und Hautoberfläche. Vor der
Untersuchung muß genügend Kontaktmittel auf den Kopf der Sonde aufgetragen werden. Für diesen Zweck ist, mit Ausnahme von Mineralölen,
jedes saubere Öl geeignet. Gute Eigenschaften besitzt z.B. Paranöl. Kontaktgele sind ebenfalls sehr gut geeignet. Ihr Vorteil liegt in
der geringeren Verschmutzung von Hände und Gerät.
3. Meßstelle und Ausrichtung des Schallkopfes
Als Meßstelle dient der Bereich zwischen Kniefalte und Euteransatz. Die Sonde wird leicht gegen die Bauchdecke gedrückt und zunächst schräg
nach oben auf die gegenüberliegende Körperseite zwischen Hüfthöcker und letzter Rippe gerichtet. Die Öffnung der Beinstellung des Tieres nach
hinten kann das Erreichen der Meßstelle wesentlich erleichtern. Durch Hin- und Herbewegen der Sonde mit der kontaktierten Hautpartie wird der
mittlere Bereich der Bauchhöhle erfaßt. Beim Gerät mit integrierter Sonde muß das ganze Gerät entsprechend mit der kontaktierten Hautpartie
ausgerichtet werden.
4. Diagnose
Ertönt bzw. erscheint ein Dauersignal von mindestens 1-2 Sekunden Länge, ist das Tier tragend. Ein unterbrochenes Signal zeigt den Kontakt
zwischen Sonde und Hautoberfläche an, das Tier ist nicht-tragend.
5. Genauigkeit der Messung
Die Aussagesicherheit ist bei Ziegen zwischen dem 60. und dem 120. und bei Schafen zwischen dem 75. und 120. Tag nach dem Decken
sehr hoch. Hierbei sind folgende Punkte zu beachten:
• Das zu untersuchende Tier sollte in möglichst natürlicher Haltung stehen.
• Wird die Sonde zu weit schwanzwärts gerichtet, können Reflexionen an der Harnblase zu falsch positiven Diagnosen führen.
Durch den Entzug von Trinkwasser für einige Stunden vor der Untersuchung kann dieser Einfluß verringert werden.
• Bei jedem erneuten Ansetzen der Sonde ist frisches Kontaktmittel zu verwenden.
• Im Falle eines negativen Resultats sollte die Messung zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt wiederholt werden. Dies gibt zusätzliche Sicherheit.
Zur Einarbeitung empfiehlt sich unbedingt die Untersuchung von einigen bekannt tragenden und nicht-tragenden Tieren.
6. Abschaltautomatik
Das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch nach ca. 3 Minuten ab wenn innerhalb dieser Zeit keine Kontaktanbindung am Schallkopf registriert wird.
Zur Wiederinbetriebnahme ist die ON/OFF Taste zu drücken.
7. Batteriewechsel
Zum Auswechseln der Batterie müssen die beiden Schrauben am Batteriefach auf der Rückseite des Gerätes mit einem Schraubendreher
für Kreuzschlitz geöffnet werden. Den Deckel abnehmen, die verbrauchte Batterie aus dem Clip entfernen und die neue Batterie einstecken.
Das Batteriefach wieder schließen. Hierbei ist unbedingt auf den korrekten Sitz des Deckels zu achten. Vorsicht: Kabelquetschung vermeiden!
Bitte nur 9 Volt Alkali-Mangan Batterien verwenden. Andere Typen vermindern die Meßleistung
und die Gebrauchsfähigkeit.
8. Pflege des Gerätes
Das Gerät sollte nach jedem Gebrauch mit einem feuchten, sauberen Tuch gründlich gereinigt werden. Dauerhaft bleibende Rückstände,
insbesondere am Sondengummi des Gerätes mit externer Sonde, verursachen Schädigungen und verkürzen die Lebensdauer. Das Gerät weder
werfen noch fallen lassen, da Sonde und Elektronik beschädigt werden können. Wir empfehlen das Gerät im zugehörigen Koffer aufzubewahren.

Au cours de la gestation, l’utérus de la brebis/chevres grossit énormément étant donné que la quantité de liquide amniotique augmente et que le foetus
grandit. Pendant la 8e ou 9e semaine de gestation, l’utérus s’abaisse dans la cavité abdominale. Grâce à cet abaissement, le liquide amniotique se
trouve dans une partie du corps que le faisceau d’ultrasons peut pénétrer. La gestation et la disponibilité de la machine sont indiquées par un signal
sonore et visuel (LED). La gestion est indiquée par un signal sonore ininterrompu. Un signal discontinu indique un contact susant entre la sonde et la
surface de la peau. Pour optenir des résultats hautement fiables, l’emploi de l’appareil a ultrasons HK est conseillé a partir du 60e jour de gestation chez
les chevres et du 70e jour de gestation chez les brebis.
Information importante: L‘appareil est toujours fourni avec une pile alcali-manganèse 9 V. Une pile rechargeable et le chargeur adéquat sont
disponibles en option. Veuillez utiliser des pièces d‘origine uniquement et observer le mode d‘emploi. Ne jamais utiliser l‘appareil avec un chargeur,
lorsque la pile est en place. Cela pourrait provoquer des détériorations importantes ! Si vous voulez acquérir le chargeur et la pile rechargeable,

1. Contrôle de fonctionnement
Mettre l‘appareil en marche en appuyant sur la touche ON/OFF. Verser quelques gouttes d‘huile de contact (voir indications au point 2 suivant) sur
l‘extrémité de la sonde. Ensuite, presser le corps d‘essai fourni avec l‘appareil contre la sonde. Un signal continu indique que la machine est prête à être
utilisée. Observer impérativement le témoin d‘état de la pile. Si le témoin rouge s‘allume, remplacer la pile tout de suite. Dans ce cas, ne plus effectuer
de mesures comme l‘alimentation électrique nécessaire à un résultat fiable n‘est plus assurée.
2. Le produit de contact
L‘utilisation d‘un produit de contact permet d‘établir un contact sans air entre la peau de l‘animal et la sonde, ce qui est indispensable pour obtenir un
diagnostic fiable. Avant chaque examen, il faut donc enduire l‘extrémité de la sonde d‘une quantité susante de produit. Toute huile propre convient à
cette fin, à l’exception des huiles minérales. L’huile de parane, par exemple, présente de bonnes propriétés. Les gels de contact sont également bien
adaptés à cet usage. Ils présentent l‘avantage de moins encrasser les mains et l‘appareil.
3. Point de contrôle et positionnement de la sonde
La meilleure position pour le contrôle se trouve entre le jarret et le pis. Il faut légèrement presser la sonde sur la paroi abdominale en l‘inclinant un peu
vers le haut et en la pointant vers la partie comprise entre la hanche et la dernière côte du côté opposé de l‘animal. Le point de contrôle sera plus facile
d‘accès si vous ouvrez les pattes arrière de l‘animal tout en les tirant un peu en arrière. Effectuer de légers mouvements de va-et-vient avec la sonde
et la partie de la peau contactée afin d‘explorer la partie centrale de la cavité abdominale. Dans le cas du modèle avec sonde intégrée, positionner
l‘appareil entier avec la partie de la peau contactée comme indiqué ci-dessus.
4. Diagnostic
Si un signal ininterrompu retentit ou s‘ache pendant minimum 1-2 secondes, cela indique que l‘animal est en gestation. Un signal sonore discontinu
confirme qu‘il y a un contact susant entre la sonde et la peau de l‘animal, ce dernier n‘est pas en état de gestation.
5. Fiabilité de la mesure
Le résultat obtenu est hautement fiable si l‘appareil est employé entre le 60e et le 120e jour après la saillie chez les chèvres et entre le 70e et le
120e jour après la saillie chez les brebis. Veuillez respecter les conseils suivants:
• L‘animal à examiner devrait être debout, dans une position naturelle
• Si la sonde est pointée vers la queue, des réflexions sur la vessie peuvent provoquer de faux résultats positifs. Il est possible de diminuer cette
influence en privant l‘animal d‘eau pendant les dernières heures avant l‘examen.
• Avant chaque nouvel essai, enduire la sonde de nouveau d‘huile ou de gel.
• En cas de résultat négatif, répéter l‘examen plus tard pour avoir une plus grande certitude.
• Il est conseillé d‘examiner d‘abord plusieurs truies dont vous savez déjà qu‘elles sont pleines (ou non) afin de vous rendre familier avec l‘appareil.
6. Arrêt automatique
L‘appareil s‘arrêtera automatiquement au bout du 3 minutes si la sonde n‘a détecté aucune mise en contact pendant ce temps. Appuyer sur la
touche ON/OFF pour remettre l‘appareil en service.
7. Changement de pile
tournevis cruciforme. Enlever le couvercle, retirer la pile épuisée de son plot et mettre la nouvelle pile en place. Refermer le compartiment à pile en
veillant bien à la bonne position du couvercle. Attention: éviter de pincer les fils ! Veuillez n‘utiliser que des piles alcali-manganèse 9 V. Tout autre
type de pile réduirait la capacité de mesure et le bon fonctionnement de l‘appareil.
8. Entretien de l‘appareil
Nettoyer soigneusement l‘appareil après chaque usage à l‘aide d‘un chiffon humide et propre. Des résidus permanents, notamment sur le caoutchouc
de la sonde de l‘appareil à sonde externe provoquent des détériorations et réduisent la durée de vie. Ne jamais jeter ou laisser tomber l‘appareil car la
sonde et l‘électronique pourraient être endommagées. Nous recommandons de conserver l‘appareil dans sa mallette.

EN HK pregnancy diagnosis unit for sheep and goats
With growth of the foetus and increase in the amniotic fluid, the uterus considerably enlarge as pregnancy progresses. In the 8th to 9th week
of pregnancy, the uterus will lower into the abdominal cavity and its amniotic fluid is measurable by the ultrasonic waves. Pregnancy and
readiness for operation are indicated audibly (signal sound) and visually (LED). An existing pregnancy is indicated by a permanent signal.
An interrupted signal indicates adequate contact between the probe and the skin surface. The HK pregnancy tester is recommended from the
60th day after mating in goats and from the 70th day after mating in sheep with a high diagnosis-precision.
Important notice: This appliance is supplied with a 9 volt alkaline-manganese battery. A reusable battery with battery charger can be
ordered as an accessory. Please only use original parts for this appliance and follow the operating instructions. Under no circumstances should
the appliance be operated with a battery charger if the battery has been inserted, since this can result in severe damage. To obtain a reusable

1. Functional test
Switch on the appliance by operating the ON/OFF key. Moisten the probe head with a few drops of contact oil (see details under 2). Then
press the enclosed test piece on the probe. If a continuous signal sounds or appears, the device is ready for operation. You must always check
the battery status lamp. If the red lamp lights up, the battery must be changed immediately. No further tests must be carried out in this case,
since the power supply required for a reliable test result is no longer assured.
2. Contact oil
The contact oil ensures airless contact between the animal‘s skin and the face of the probe, which is necessary for an accurate diagnosis.
Before each diagnosis, apply a liberal amount of oil on the face of the probe. With the exception of mineral oils, all clean oils are suitable for
this purpose. Paran oil, for example, has good properties. Contact gels are also suitable and are often preferred as hands and test unit stay
cleaner.
3. Diagnosis spot and scanning-direction of the probe
The optimal diagnosis spot is situated in the stifle fold in front of and above the udder. The probe is lightly pressed against the abdominal wall
and directed upwards to the animal‘s opposite side, between the hip bone and the rear rip. When putting the rear leg a little backward, it is
easier to reach the spot. By moving the probe slightly forward and backward, the ultrasonic waves scan the medium part of the abdominal
region. In the case of the unit with integrated ultrasonic head, the whole unit has to be directed accordingly.
4. Diagnosis
If a continuous signal of at least 1-2 seconds sounds or appears, the animal is pregnant. A non-continuous tone indicates a sucient contact
between the probe and the skin; the animal is not pregnant.
5. Diagnosis precision
Diagnosis precision is optimal from the 60th to 120th day after mating when working with goats, and from the 75th and 120th day after
mating when working with sheep. However, the following aspects should be taken into consideration:
• The animal to be tested should stand in a natural position.
• If the probe is moved too much backwards, towards the tail, the ultrasonic waves can be reflected by the fluid-filled bladder giving a false
positive result. This risk can be minimised by removing access to drinking water for a couple of hours before testing.
• Apply fresh oil or gel on the face of the probe for each new placing.
• In case of negative result, repeat testing at a later date. This gives additional certainty.
• Gain some experience of testing by using animals which are known to be pregnant or not pregnant respectively.
6. Automatic switch-off
The appliance switches off automatically after 3 minutes if no contact has been registered on the ultrasonic head within this time.
To restart, press the ON/OFF switch.
7. Changing the battery
To change the battery, unscrew the two screws on the battery compartment at the back of the appliance using a Phillips screwdriver. Take off
the lid, remove the used battery from the clip and insert the new battery. Close the battery compartment. You must make absolutely sure that
the lid is properly fitted. Caution: avoid squeezing the cable. Please only use 9 volt alkaline-manganese batteries. Other types of battery impair
the test performance and serviceability.
8. Looking after the appliance
The appliance should be thoroughly cleaned with a damp, clean cloth after each use. Persistent residues, particularly on the probe rubber
of the unit with an external probe, cause damage and reduce the serviceable life. Do not throw the appliance or let it drop, since this could
damage the probe and the electronics. We recommend that you store the appliance in its case.

oder Herstellerfehler zu beseitigen. Die Garantiepflicht beginnt ab

autorisierten Vertragswerkstätte durchgeführt!
Der Hersteller behält sich bei Nichteinhaltung das Recht vor, jeglichen
Garantieanspruch abzulehnen. Das Gerät muss zu diesem Zweck,
auf Gefahr des Geräte-Besitzers, unzerlegt, verpackt und portofrei,
mit der Original-Rechnung zur Verkaufsstelle zurückgebracht werden.

die Art der Beanstandung sind erwünscht. Kosten, die durch unbe-

Garantie

emballé et franco de port, accompagné de l’original de la facture

Warranty
Based on our General Terms and Conditions of Business, we offer a
2 years warranty for this device covering damage caused by material
or manufacturing defects. This warranty begins on the date
of purchase. The warranty does not cover:
1. Damaged caused by natural wear and tear (wear parts, sliding
parts), excessive strain and incorrect use (non-compliance with
operating instructions).
2. Damage caused by force majeure or sustained during transport.
3. Damage to rubber parts, e.g. on connecting lines. Warranty repairs
are only carried out by the manufacturing plant or an authorised
contracted workshop.
The manufacturer reserves the right to reject any warranty claims
in the event of non-compliance. The device must for this purpose
be returned to the point of sale, at the risk of the device owner,
complete, packaged and with sucient postage, including the
original invoice (address see dealer stamp). Please provide as much
information as possible on the nature of the problem. Costs incurred
as a result of unjustified defect claims will be invoiced to the device’s
owner.
