Cleaning, Sanitizing and Inspection Instructions
Use the following instructions to clean, sanitize and inspect the WM-Ai.

Failure to heed may result in serious personal injury or death.
Always turn off the machine before cleaning or servicing.
Never touch this machine without training and authorization from your supervisor.
Guards must be in place before plugging in and turning on the machine.
Always keep your fingers, hands and clothing away from sharp or moving parts.
Failure to follow these instructions could result in damage to the equipment and void the
warranty.

Figure 1 calls out several parts of the WM-Ai that should be cleaned daily.

Cleaning Procedure
Use the following steps to start the cleaning procedure.
1. Press the Cleaning button on the display.

2. Press the Start button on the display. The machine takes approximately 10 seconds to fully move
into cleaning mode.
3. Turn the machine off by rotating the power switch to the right. The power switch is located to the
left of the discharge unit.

4. Clean the lift unit, discharge unit, wrap plates and two sealing rollers with a damp cloth.

CAUTION
Note
Use a brush to remove debris from within the lift unit.
Wait until the sealing rollers have cooled down before cleaning. Touching the sealing rollers
when they are hot may cause severe burns.

5. To clean the infeed areas, pull out the infeed unit by loosening the two knobs on the unit and
pulling the unit outward.

6. Remove and clean the infeed platter with soap and water. Do not use any chemicals or bleach that
will discolor the infeed platter.
7. Clean the infeed area with a damp cloth.

8. Open the bottom catch tray and clean the catch tray.

9. Push the infeed unit all the way inward and tighten the two knobs.

10. Clean the display and wipe down the front of the unit.

Washdown Cover
A washdown cover protects the unit while cleaning the other areas of the room.
1. Ensure the machine is turned off.
2. After the machine has been cleaned, cover it with the washdown cover.
3. Spray and clean the room.
4. After the room is cleaned, remove the washdown cover and turn the machine back on. This will
protect the machine from condensation.
5. Press Return and Enter to return to normal operation.
