This manual presents the functional properties and methods of installation for the use of the
Matradee and Matradee X Multi-layer Food-delivery Robots.
This manual covers the following:
1. Introduction to the Matradee Robots: Basic functional properties of
the Matradee and the structural information.
2. Operating steps: Preparatory work for installing and using the
Matradee Robots.
3. Appendix: Common faults, detailed technical parameters and safety
precautions for the Matradee Robots.

• Matradee is suitable for public indoor environments such as restaurants, hotels, shopping malls
and supermarkets, cinemas, KTV, business oces, etc.
• Matradee features fully-automatic positioning and navigation, intelligent obstacle avoiding,
machine vision and laser radar. It can move in a fully-automatic manner in indoor environments
and intelligently chat and interact with people, performing a variety of services such as deliver-
ing restaurant food, transferring oce documents, express distribution, etc.
• The product mentioned in this manual is the Matradee model of the multi-layer food-delivery
robot. The charging base described is optional.
Figure 1 displays the body structure of the Matradee. The robot chassis is a two-main-wheel and
four-engaged-wheel structure. It achieves automatic positioning using machine vision and laser
radar, and integrates touch switches and other sensors to implement the function of intelligent
obstacle avoidance.
Figure 2 shows the structure of the charging base for Matradee. Matradee is programmed with
intelligent charging base location. On its own, Matradee will find, match and contact the
charging base in order to recharge.

01INSTALLATION
BODY STRUCTURE OF MATRADEE
OPERATING STEPS
When starting to use the Matradee, the user should follow these steps carefully.
1. Robot Mapping
Before the Matradee moves automatically, it needs to get familiar with the environment around
it. The robot stores and identifies the operating environment as a map. This mapping process is
completed by professional technicians in advance, so users do not need to complete by them-
selves.
Remapping will need to occur when significant changes take place in the indoor environment,
such as redecoration, or if the Matradee is moved to a new area for servicing.
2. Arrangement of Charging Base
Matradee is able to automatically return to its base for charging. The charging base must be
located within its operational range. Factory technicians are responsible for the installation of the
charging base. Once the charging base is installed, the user should not move it arbitrarily, if it is
indeed necessary to change the position of the charging base.

1. Switch on/o
The power switch is set on the chassis behind the robot. When the silicone cover under the
chassis is opened, the user can see the button on the left, which is the power switch. Find the
position of the power switch in the position exhibited in Figure 3. Press the power switch by
hand to start the Matradee. The system cannot be put into normal operation until it starts for
about 40 seconds. When the Matradee needs to be turned o, the user should turn o the
power switch in the same manner. After the power switch is turned o, the machine will be
powered o at once.
The user can setup Matradee via the Matradee APP. The steps to enter the setup page of
Matradee are shown below:
①Click the “III” icon in the upper left corner of the home page to enter the menu page of
the software function.
②Click the Matradee Settings icon on the APP to enter the setup page.
1. Connect WI-FI
When using it for the first time, the user should connect Matradee to the network via WI-FI.
Setup steps are listed below:
①Turn on the WLAN (WI-FI) function of the system and search for available WI-FI.
②Select the available WI-FI and enter the password.
③Click the Connect button until WIFI connection is successful.
2. Charging Settings

Please follow the following steps to start using your robot.
1. Robot Construction Map
Before the robot moves autonomously, it needs to be familiar with its moving environment,
which stores and recognizes the running environment in the form of the map. This step is called
"building map.” (This step is completed by professional and technical personnel without user's
own operation).
This is necessary when there is a major change in the indoor environment of the robot (such as
redecorating, robot handling to a new operating place or indoor items rearrangement, etc.)
2. Charging base layout
The robot has the function of automatic recharge, so it is convenient to place the charging base
inside its running place. The installation of the charging base is completed by the technical
personnel of the manufacturer. Once fixed, please do not move without
authorization.
