Handheld tyre gauges
E
Please read these instructions carefully for your own safety, before proceeding to the installation, use
or maintenance of the handheld tyre gauges. This manual must be conserved for future consultation.
Overview
This manual is an integral part of the product with which it is enclosed and must be conserved for future consultation.
Carefully read the recommendations and instructions contained in this instruction booklet before carrying out installation,
operating, adjusting or maintenance operations, since they give important information regarding the safety of use and
maintanance. The tyre gauge should only be used by an adequately trained operator if it is to be used safely and correctly
maintained. The information given in this booklet is necessary for correct use of the tyre gauge and its components and is
in addition to the normal technical know-how of operators. The safety rules inserted in this booklet are in addition to the
safety regulations in force in the countries where the product is used and which should already be known and applied by
operators. Contact only authorized product technical assistance and maintenance centers for further information or
special problems.
Unpacking
After removing the packaging material make sure the product is in perfect condition and that there are no visibly
damaged parts. If in doubt, do not use the tyre gauge and contact the manufacturer.
Use and Operation
The classic manual tyre filling gauge is homologated according to its design. Devices with a measuring range of 0 - 4 bar
and 0 - 10 bar for the use in public filling stations et are calibrated by the Office of Weights and Standard and marked
accordingly. First calibration is valid for two years. After expiration of the calibration period, the device must be
recalibrated.
This product has been designed for use as a handheld tyre gauge and all other uses will be considered inappropriate. The
manufacturer declines all liability for damage or injury caused by the inappropriate use of the tyre gauge or the failure to
respect safety warnings. Any and all tampering or modification with the equipment that has not been previously
authorized releases the manufacturer from all damage derived or ascribable to the same.
General Safety Rules
Risks in Inapropriate Use
Never point the inflation gun at people or animals
Never exceed the maximum working pressure recommended or the gauge full scale pressure
Always discharge the air pressure and disconnect from the air supply before proceeding to the
disassembly, cleaning, or reassembly of the tyre gauge

Risks to Health
It is therefore obligatory to take the following precautions:
Always wear clothes with adequate bodily protection when using the tyre gauge
Other Risks
Never use the tyre gauge in areas where machinery such as conveyor belts, robots, etc. are working
Installation
For safe operation and correct maintenance, the handheld tyre gauge must be used only by an operator who has been
provided with the adequate preparation. After removing the tyre gauge from the packaging, make sure that no damage
has occurred during shipping. Make sure that the gauge pointer points to the scale’s “0”. The handheld tyre gauge may
not be used if this is not the case.
Provide a compressed air supply that does not exceed the gauge’s
full scale value in the installation area
Before connecting the gun to any compressed air supply, make
sure that line pressure has been discharged
Connect the compressed air supply hose to the tyre gauge’s connector
Note: Make sure that the compressed air supply does not exceed the tyre gauge’s full-scale value.
Operation
WARNING
Tyre pneumatic pressure is indicated by the motor vehicle manufacturer and varies by type
Carefully check the pressure to which the tyre must be inflated indicated by the motor vehicle
manufacturer and/or the tyre manufacturer. Incorrect inflation pressure can lead to the
explosion of the tyre
How to Check
the pressure
Make sure that the gauge pointer points to the scale’s “0”. Bleed the tyre gauge if necessary.
Insert the valve at the end of the hose into the tyre’s own inflation valve. The pressure inside the
tyre is shown directly on the gauge.
Inflating
If the tyre pressure is lower than the value indicated by the motor vehicle manufacturer:
Insert the valve at the end of the hose onto the tyre’s own inflation valve
Pull the tyre gauge lever at intervals to inflate the tyre
Read the tyre’s pressure on the gauge at the same time
Continue inflating the tyre to the required pressure in this way
Detach the tyre gauge inflation valve from the tyre’s valve at the end
Deflating
If the tyre pressure is higher than the value indicated by the manufacturer:
Insert the valve at the end of the hose onto the tyre’s own inflation valve
Lightly press either the black rubber coated button or the lever at intervals to deflate the tyre
Read the tyre’s pressure on the tyre to the required pressure in this way
Detach the tyre gauge inflation valve from the tyre’s valve at the end

Ordinary Maintenance
WARNING
Before performing any maintenance operation on the tyre gauge, disconnect it from the compressed air
supply and discharge any pressure remaining within.
Never allow the tyre gauge to be serviced by personnel without adequate training and instruction.
Never use non-original spare parts for maintenance.
In order to guarantee handheld tyre gauge efficiency and correct operation, the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning
and routine maintenance must be scrupulously followed.
Note: Pay careful attention to avoid dropping the tyre gauge or subjecting it to impact.
Storage
Whenever the inflation gun will not be used for an extended period of time, disconnect it from all power supplies
When using the tyre gauge again after extended inactivity, change the liners
Placing the tyre gauge out of use
We recommend making the tyre gauge completely inoperative when dismantling and placing it out of
use. The tyre gauge’s materials are completely recyclable and must be disposed of properly in the
appropriate collection centers.
